Windows vibrated, pets ran for cover and neighbors gathered outside. Nobody could figure it out. There wasn't any nearby construction or electrical transformer issues. There were no gas line issues either. Officers came to inspect the area. They were quick, helpful and offered possible theories. It was amazing to see them wk with each other to try to help us find the cause. They risk their lives constantly in effort to keep us safe & manage to respond to many issues/concerns non too big or to small. Thank you, keep up the excellent work!!!

I called 911 and we got an officer to meet us at the store to review footage immediately. We weren't able to find any good leads at first but Ace said they would call us if they were able to track the credit card information. We went home and within an hour officer H. Duncan got the credit card info, went to the thief's house and found my phone. He was able to meet us at the store to return it. Phone stolen at 3:15pm and returned to us at 5:30pm. This was amazing, and we couldn't be more grateful for Ace Hardware employees for working so fast to get us details and Turlock PD for following up. THANK YOU!!

The back half of his body was showing with ass hanging. My guess is he's psych. Tried calling the non-emergency number and was put on hold right away for a long time. After being tired of waiting and being concerned with the patient I hung up and called the emergency number. The same person answered the phone that put me on hold on the non-emergency phone number. She told me she was the only one in there and she had nine other emergency calls on hold. That's ridiculous! How is it you only have one person handling all the potential emergencies in this town??? And how quick and efficient are the people who might need help getting the help they need in a timely manor??? Get the girl some help!

A cop pulled over the thieves and my purse was found along with many other stolen purses! Awful! I was called from an officer that my purse was found along with my wallet! They had to investigate it more, but told me they would call me later to get it. I ended up receiving a call from officer Mitchell investigating it and he told me they will be doing some more investigation, but will let me know and then, I'll be able to get my purse back! Thank you Lord! That day has arrived! =) I received an email that I could pick up my purse, passport and wallet in Modesto as long as I let the officer know I would be on my way soon. Two days later because I must be controlled. =( I called to let officer Balos know I was on the way yesterday and it is today! I arrived to pick it up ALONE so I could be me without control. I provided my ID to the officer and officer Mitchell came out to provide a little more information. Plus, there was a nice older lady that had the same happen to her except it happened while she was running. Her car broken into too. =/ The office is safe and clean and the officers are very nice! This is the first time Yelping a police department. I'm conflicted on this because I hold law…read moreenforcement at such high regard. I do think that this PD has areas of opportunities to improve. For example. I was in a three car accident in town. It's not a large town and I don't know the number of officers on staff nor the number of calls they receive. I was told the day of my accident I would have the report within 7 - 10 days. Ok that is fair. I wait two weeks. I'm currently working with Insurance, Medical Bills, a lawyer, etc. all of which need the information. I go over to the PD and it's not ready. I was told to call back next week. So I wait another week and a half, so I call and it's not ready. A few more days go by so I leave a message for the officer on his voicemail to contact me on when it might get finished. I never received a call back. I realize it's not a major crime but my life has been disrupted and I need to give information to other parties. Long story... date of the Accident was 9/23/18 today is 11/7/18, and I was just able to get the report. As I'm waiting for the copy of the report I see the sign hanging that says it will take ten days which I included in my post. Again, I think this is fairly glaring. All I really needed was done communication back. It's pretty disappointing actually. My rating could be a lot lower but I respect the jobs of police and what they do.

Nothing major ever really happens here except the occasional drunken spousal arguments and an occasional false house alarm going off. Personally, I grew up on the streets of L.A. and have the smarts to recognize when somethings just not right in my neighborhood. So the other night, I was up at my computer, probably yelping, and I see headlights of a car pull up and I look out to see if its the hubby. Instead I see a little beat up accord cruising, shining a flashlight into cars and looking into abandoned homes, and I knew it was about to go down. So I called 911 and I kid you not, I was still on the phone with the operator, giving her details and PD was already pulling their beams on these guys... I was pretty amazed, considering PD in L.A. would have taken waaaay longer, and the guys would have prolly broken into a few cars before PD got there. I watched like a nosy ass, as the police interviewed each of these fools, and eventually escorted them out of the area. That was the first, and last time I saw anything strange like that in my neighborhood, and I owe it to the Mountain House Sheriffs. I'm glad they are within reach, to protect and serve our neighborhood.
