Standig was referred to me by my accountant, who was retiring. My overall experience with Standig was very strange. He couldn't come close to filing by the April deadline and had to request multiple extensions. By the time he finally finished, it was time to begin thinking about taxes for the next year. I couldn't believe how disorganized he was. He also spent much of his time in our meetings giving out personal advice like he was some sort of life coach. The final straw came when he asked me to take some of my tax refund and donate it to the Boy Scouts of America, because his son was a scout. Very strange experience. read more

Marc S. Standig graduated Emory University's MBA program and works at Charles Berry, CPA for one tax season. He then went on to become an assistant controller and then controller of Citizens Jewelry of Atlanta, Ga. Marc is originally from northern New Jersey and went back north to be close to his family and friends. He then worked for some small CPA firms during the tax season. In 1986 he studied for the Special Enrollment Examination and applied to become enrolled before the Internal Revenue Service. Marc S. Standig, EA has been conveniently located in Monroe Township, NJ since 1998.

Meet the Business Owner: Marc S.

Marc Standig has been an active member of the communities where he has lived and worked. During the late 1980 and early 1990's he was an active member of the Millstone Basin Habitat for Humanity. From the mid-1990's through 2003 he sat on the East Windsor, NJ Economic Development Committee. He has been and continues to be a merit badge counselor with the Monmouth Council of the Boy Scouts. Marc Standig has served as the president of the New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents and has been a member of the Board since 2010.
