To make matters worse, he attempted to cross personal boundaries by trying to pursue my girlfriend at the time-- Who was also a client that he offered to represent for free so she didn't file against him(a blatant violation of professionalism and ethics). Robert Butler offered to reimburse me 5000.00 and never honored that arrangement. So I filed a grievance. When I filed a grievance with the Ohio Bar, armed with evidence to support my allegations, they chose to ignore the gravity of the situation. Adding insult to injury, this attorney used his connections, including his new wife, to manipulate the process and have my grievance thrown out. This was an appalling abuse of power and demonstrated a lack of accountability within the system. This experience was a $23,000 lesson learned the hard way.
