Early on in the…read moreday when I first walked over, it was lovely and tranquil with amazing views back over the Rhein towards the main town, including the dominant structure of the Kolner Dom There are a few concert venues and other buildings within the park that I didn't visit. I was heading to the Claudius Therme baths and this park was a lovely route to get there Incidentally, the baths are amazing and well worth a visit On my way back, the park was filled with the sound of happy kids playing in the large playground, which looked fun

Simple and beautiful. Most of the walkways are well canopied by the trees. There are plenty of…read morebenches to sit on and a huge ring around the perimeter for cyclists. The park is missing an actual memorial to Beethoven though, even a simple sign somewhere would be nice (unless I somehow missed it).
