This is one of a few parks in Antwerp. It's not the biggest, and has a slightly run down feel due to some of the construction currently going on. A nice place on a sunny day to sit on a bench by water, but not as scenic as most other parks. read more

Yep, this is a park, and a fairly decent one at that. Okay, we didn't spend a huge amount of time wandering around it namely because it was getting a little dark and we were trying to locate a laundromat (I'm starting to call them wash salons for some bizarre reason - maybe it is because that is what the Germans call them). Anyway this certainly isn't what I would call a boring park since there are quite a few things to do here, even if lying on the grass and having a snooze is your idea of doing something in a park (though make sure nobody steals your bag if that is what you are doing). As I wandered through here I did encounter some play equipment and a rather pleasant lake. However, the great thing about the park was simply its greenery, even in the early evening the place was pleasant. read more

The Stadspark is our city park! In 2009 Antwerp decided to renew the park and in 2012 this was finished. Today it is a beautiful and pleasant park! Facilities: + Big skating area + A playground + Walking paths + Lots of lawns to sit on + A bridge crossing the pondin the middle + A running track from 1,4 kms !! The park itself is not at all considered to be dangerous nor is situated in a strange area. It's in the middle of a living area and there are a lot of children, young people, older people.. It's really for everybody! Funny fact: + As in any city in the world, it's not the best idea to come here at night. Except when your a male gay!! :-) At night this is known to be a meeting place for gays. read more

Stadspark - Parks Near Me - Antwerp, VAN

While this park is smaller than most, it's a pretty good central spot in the city if you wish to escape to nature. There seemed to be one main path that goes around the entire park with plenty of benches, a lake and open grass areas to lay down. There's also a cool bridge in the middle that kids seemed to enjoy playing on, there was entire class of school kids using this place as their physical ed outing. I considered Stadspark to be an alright park, even though lots of reviewers say it's kind of shady, I did not get that feeling at all here. I felt safer in this park than a park in my home city. read more
