Crowded, but worth a visit. If you're new in Sweden and can't bear the winters, or if you're…read moreplanning a visit up north to Kiruna, Abisko, Luleå, etc, I would recommend stopping here for winter gear. Basically they have all the big sporting brands but at discount prices. I've gotten great deals on yoga mats, ski pants, wool socks, and gloves. They also have things like long johns, hats, running shoes, coats, parkas, and more. As I said it is crowded - the shop itself is packed full and then there are usually plenty of customers on top of that. It feels like a traffic jam. But the staff members are friendly and helpful and you'll get a good deal.

Igor Sport is (mostly) a clothing, foot and sportswear clearance store, you will NOT find crazy 80%…read morediscounts or 50 kr items regularly (like shirts, tennis shoes, jackets, etc.), although they have several big sales throughout the year; they regular discount is about 30 to 40% less than in major retailers. The quality of the products is no less than what you may find in a big retail store but, as I said, it is a clearance store and often than not there will be a limited stock for most of the sizes. So, when something catches your eye in their newspaper ad --usually on the free Metro newspaper-- you should *REALLY* go the very same day; and the earliest you possibly can when they have their 50-60%+ off sales. The place is not fancy at all, it looks more like an old warehouse so do not expect lots of space to browse the products; in fact, during a sale, be prepared to go to an overcrowded store served with 3, or perhaps 4, fitting rooms and long lines to use them; I would recommend you to grab ALL the things you want to try on and use the changing room only once, otherwise you will lose precious browsing time and your shoe/shirt/jacket size may be long gone. In general, I like the store, it is very well located --not even 150 m from Skanstull subway-- and the premises are irrelevant to me; hey, I rather to pay less for my products than to have a fancy t-shirt display or shoe shelf. I've found a lot of good items, mainly tennis shoes and [winter] jackets with excellent prices (when one compares to strong retailers like Stadium, for example). I think that, If you are a tourist from North America, you will be disappointed by the prices, since I find that this kind of products are way cheaper back home. In the other hand, if you moved to Stockholm you can really save a pretty penny by keeping an eye on Igor Sport.
