Stadhuis metro station is located on lines D and E of the Rotterdam Metro, named after Stadhuis (Town Hall).
For such a small station, I did find it to be a little hard to navigate, such as getting to the right platform, I also was only able to find a lift to only one platform out of the two that were available, luckily there were escalators available.
The station appears to be unstaffed, meaning there wasn't really anyone to ask for help other than fellow passengers.
There are a couple of ticket machines, I was unimpressed with them though, they seemed really slow and you had to press down on the screen with a certain amount of force to actually get them to recognise what you wanted to do.
The Tourist Day ticket is available here, costing €14.5 for unlimited travel on all Metro and Tram services, and some bus services in Rotterdam and The Hague. The RET Day Ticket is slightly cheaper, and will get you as far as The Hague on the Metro, but does not include transport within The Hague after getting off the Metro.
The station had basic facilities, with no shops inside the station, there was a reasonably large Albert Heijn, right by the entrance, and due to its' central location within Rotterdam, there are many shops and hotels nearby, it is also the closest Metro station to the Hilton Rotterdam, where I stayed during my time in the city.
3* - A well-located metro, does require a bit of getting used to, then becomes easier. read more
