I read the previous reviews and thought maybe it was picky customers complaining so I decided to give this place a chance to see on my own and found out the reviews are true. I was told while viewing the furniture area that all pictures were buy one get two free so I find 2 nice oil paintings that have $6 price tags on each. I needed to find a cart so I asked the gentleman/employee sitting in the back in the furniture area if I could set it next to him while found a cart. I return with my car and retrieve my paintings and a lady standing there commented how pretty the paintings were, to which I agreed and commented that I couldn't believe that they were only six dollars. The man/employee sitting there proceeded to tell me that the paintings were $20 each. I pointed to one the tag on the picture that said six dollars and he said that wasn't correct and I responded that most paintings on the shelf were $6 so he asked me to show him so I walked over and retrieved a third oil painting and when I returned, I saw him taking the price tags off my paintings and he then told me they were now $10 each. I called him out on it but it fell on deaf ears. I like the paintings and had no choice, but to pay the $10 at this point. I walked away with my cart and continued to browse but watched this man verbally change prices when customers inquired about items that had price tags already on them and when asked, he bullied the elderly ladies into the other . I don't feel like this is a good representation for a church thrift store let alone any store to have price bait switch combined with the fact this employee was extremely rude and a bully and I will not be going back to the thrift store nor to the church read more

I no longer donate to this store when so many items are thrown out. If items were priced cheaper there would be no need to have clothes hauled away by the truck full each week. The last couple of years the store has really gone down hill. Who closes at 3pm ?? Also a lot of the items for sale are dirty. read more

I was looking at a matching sofa & love seat in the furniture area. There was a price marked for the set. The middle-aged man thrift store representative saw that I was interested in the set. He told me that the price was wrong and wanted $150 more for the set. I resisted saying anything to him and just walked away. It's unbelievable how many rude volunteers I've encountered while shopping at the Kass Circle store. read more

If you're looking to volunteer here, don't. Find somewhere else. Some people here are welcoming, while others just say "F*** you, sign out and leave." If you need community service hours, don't waste your breath even thinking of coming here. There are other places more worth your time. read more

This is a food shelter that helps people with food. Some of the food is good but some of it is kind of old. The fresh bread is not too good. First of all, there is a thrift shop AND a food pantry, they are under the same umbrella, but two distinctly different services. I have been going to the food pantry to help supplement my monthly groceries for YEARS and I can honestly say that the food pantry at St. Vincent DePaul has probably the BEST selection of food I've ever seen when comparing food pantries. You have to realize that this is a FOOD PANTRY and not a store like Publix and the food is DONATED to the food pantry so it is going to be older than what you get fresh in the grocery store. However, that being said, while there may be a few items that are outdated or expired (READ the labels), about 90% of what I've received has been fresh and in good, very edible condition. Most of their food comes from Publix which is an elite grocery store and their BREAD especially, as it comes from Publix bakery, is always in vast supply and is delicious. I see no difference in what you get FREE from the food pantry than what you would pay for in the Publix store. They are usually crowded (because of the amount of high qualify food they give out for FREE) and you might expect to be sitting there for about an hour (sometimes more) so bring a book or something to keep you busy. Everybody who volunteers there is very polite and helpful--they can't seem to do enough for you. Again, you need to be mindful that this is a FOOD PANTRY that is providing lower income folks with FREE FOOD, so let's not be so damned picky as you are getting the food for FREE. This particular food pantry also gives A LOT of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and chicken, in addition to the canned (pantry) staples that all food pantries give. I have come out with hamburger, ground turkey, sausage, hotdogs, ham, sometimes eggs, salad mix and other assorted vegetables, not to mention, again, all the bread that is not in short supply. I think people need to remember that they are getting this food for FREE and not be so critical about what they are getting, I mean, beggars can't be choosers, right? All in all, this food pantry has A LOT to offer and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a little help making ends meet and getting from month-to-month with food. Took my son here to volunteer for his first time. Marilyn verbally abuses the volunteers, calls them names, swears/yells at them. These are KIDS that are VOLUNTEERING. When I went in and told her she should be ashamed of herself, she was equally as rude to me and refused to sign off on his hours. Completely rude and inappropriate and certainly far from Christian. She needs to acquaint herself with the society's Mission Statement. She has absolutely no business working with kids. read more

This review is about the thrift store. It has the most second hand furniture in all of Spring Hill and you can really score on some pieces. In good condition. The prices are very fair. I lucked out recently with a large Chinese porcelain bowl, signed at the bottom in Chinese characters. It is a Ching dynasty Famille Rose bowl bought for $10 and worth between $600 and $1000. read more
