Two bins of Lego's over $100. I wonder if they ever sell anything at those prices. They do have a "sale" section. But it's a "thrift" store, why would you have a "sale" section.. Well because the prices are so high. I dunno, I don't think we will be back because we have so many real thrift stores around here that are thrift store prices. The people that worked there were nice, but that doesn't help the prices unfortunately.

Testing is cheap and easy I found out.. especially for a store that gets everything for free. Signage about the risk could be another solution, again very cheap. At the very least what I called asking for was a refund and explained why and the guy on the phone was extremely rude and made it clear that he could care less (apparently he is the manager). I will never shop here again because if he cares this little about customers growing a literal human being imagine how he treats his employees!

She said she gives you 25% of what she will sell it for which is understandable. She said she'd sell the nightgown/robe for $12 and so that must mean she'd sell the 80's dresses for $2 each. That would have been such a bargain for anyone wanting to buy those if I would have sold them to her! She tells me that people buy her stuff and then resells it. I can see why! What a local treasure! The Second Tern has a wonderful selection of sporting goods, furniture,…read moreantiques, clothing, housewares and more. I've been there several times in the past few weeks and am impressed by how easy it is to drop off donated items and and how willing the staff (volunteers, I believe) is to carry things to the car, pack items carefully, and even help shovel our car out of the snow! You can't enter the Second Tern without a spritz of hand sanitizer, and everyone inside wears a mask. The funds go to the Sunriver Nature Center and the Oregon Observatory, so it's all for a good cause!

I also purchased a wood slab to make a computer table that turned out beautiful. One of the owners graciously met me at the shop the next day and trimmed the board down so we could fit it in our car for the long drive home. Great experience.

When I got there they wouldn't take it. Too much! I would have had to break it down into three or four smaller sacks and driven back on three or four separate days for them to take my stuff. So instead, I drove across the street to Goodwill, where they took it without complaint. You need to let people know these things! I love your mission, and wanted you to have my things, but didn't like the attitude of the person accepting donations. "It's the rule." No apologies for my inconvenience.
