Whether you're here for a visit or shopping for a new "church home", you wouldn't go wrong with St. Tim's. The Minister, Joe Walker, is a down-to-earth fellow who knows his Book but who also knows the love of Christ and is able to communicate effectively to a congregation that has a mix of older and middle-aged folks and of course a small gang of kids who enjoy their Sunday mornings. The large choir is excellent (the choir master is a true musician herself!), the organist does a lovely job, the exchange of the Peace is enthusiastic, and the sermons always have a few things worth ruminating upon for the next week. Parking is sparse and I wish they'd can the paper-ish wafers that are called "bread" and actually break pieces off of loaves of bread during Communion -- but these are minor complaints. It feels like home to me -- it's worth a try. :) read more
