They have a great children's program: Sunday school, children's choir, bell choir, vacation Bible school, etc. They have active middle school and high school youth groups that go on mission trips during the summer. They have men's groups, women's groups,a Speeders (55+) group. I love how there are so many volunteer opportunities here. Get Smart, NEST, AA, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts all meet here. I also been to the Fish Fry's , Filipino Christmas dinner, and pierogies fundraiser. All events are fun and organized! So I arrived to the Spaghetti Dinner and sat down and instantly greeted and welcomed. The server brought the drinks to us , then we got the salad, spaghetti and garlic bread. The food was delicious! Best part was the assorted desserts, chocolate cake was my choice of course! There were so many cool raffle items! Books, Lego sets, wines , iPads, gift cards , fishing gear, etc! Prince of Peace is in Great Bridge off of Cedar Road, there's plenty of space to park there. Events are usually posted on their sign ! They also put out posters. I love Prince of Peace ! Yay POP ! As soon as I hit the parking lot the atmosphere was charged with laughter and music. There was a live Dj and his music selection was up to date and loads of fun. Kids were everywhere! The event was mostly outside in the parking lot and there was food like popcorn hotdogs and cotton candy. You were greeted and stood In line to receive your food tickets and handed candy and bottled water. There were also bounce houses for the kids and plenty of games to entertain. The prize for participating in the games was candy. My daughters bag was extremely full before we left lol. The volunteers were courteous and friendly. It was inspiring to see so many people selflessly giving up their evening to volunteer. I look forward to visiting on a Sunday !
