I was just married here over the weekend and we had a great ceremony. Father Joe even surprised us with Ava Maria accompanied by him playing the cello. My son was baptized here, and my niece confirmed here. We could not ask to belong to a better parish. The Summer Fest in August is a great family get together as well. The only thing that I would ask that the church work on is the cry room. There is only one, and every time I have needed to go in with my son it's full of people without children. We just quietly make our way into the front and hope we aren't too distracting.

They aren't afraid to abandon old programs or do things differently if it means the church becomes more effective at bringing truth and love into people's lives. Sunday services are at 9 and 11, with a separate program for kids at the same time. Family Summit (a service for parents and kids) is at 10:20. The mission statement of the children's ministry is "Partnering with Parents to Teach Kids to Love God and Love Others." They recognize that parents have a lot more time with kids than the church does, so it aims to empower the whole family. Teens gather on Sunday nights, and the Awaken midweek service (with a large meeting and smaller breakout groups focusing on various topics) is Thursday at 7. Visit the well-run Porch Cafe for coffee, specialty drinks, and finger foods between services. Rockpointe's ministry has a local, national, and international focus. One exciting recent development is that three families in the church have committed to spending five years in Africa as missionaries, an effort that the congregation will be helping to support. All in all, Rockpointe is a community that I feel very blessed to be a part of.
