I love St Pius V, which I've always called The Shrine Of St. Jude.
Although I must admit, I've never attended a mass there. I became acquainted with St Pius in 1998 when I photo assisted on a calendar job for the Dominican Friary.
Reasons you should pay a visit to St. Pius V:
1 - It seems the doors are always open! I've stopped in to have a quiet moment and I've never found them locked during the day.
2 - The sanctuary is beautiful.
3 - They are The Shrine of St. Jude! They have a reliquary with a bone fragment from St. Jude, Statuary of St. Jude and a grand mosaic on the opposite wall in a large alcove. All of these things add to a truly religious experience.
4 - Plus - St Jude is the patron saint of desperate cases. This is the place to share your desperate case, light a candle, and reflect in prayer. read more
