My grandma was hospitalized with severe pneumonia in January and she was put in a 3-bed room on Station 1C.
Overall, I felt that she was well taken care off: Almost all the nurses were very friendly and caring (there was one exception, but I will come to that later) towards the patients as well as visitors. When my grandma's conditioned worsened and it became clear that she would pass away soon, they moved the other two patients to other rooms, so that the 4 of us had enough space and peace to stay with grandma. They even gave us a spare bed, so that one of us could spend the night. Thanks to this kindness, we were able to make sure that one of us was with grandma at all times during those last 4 days of her life. And when she had passed away, they really showed compassion and they let us stay as long as we wanted with her to say our Goodbyes.
I also have positives things to say about the doctors. They always tried to make time to talk to us when we asked for a quick update although they were extremly busy. In regards to grandmas care, they really tried to make things as easy for her as possible.
My only complaint is about nurse Roberta. She was on the night shift and treated my grandma very roughly while cleaning her up, so that it hurt her. When my aunt called her out on that, she got defensive and did not take it well. I found that unprofessional.
