Large pour-over complete with personal tiny coffee decanter! (little cork decanter lid hiding behind coffee cup)

Excellent coffee and espresso. You really can't go wrong with ordering anything off their chalkboard menu. Or grab a bag of fresh roasted beans and caffeinate at home. I have a bag of their beans at home right now - one of their dark roasts - and it really does have those chocolatey, orangey notes in it that they claim on the bag. Most recently, I opted for a coffee to stay instead of my usual Americano to go. I was delighted to learn they do this pour-over style and give you your own little coffee decanter with lid! You can sip your brew as leisurely as you'd like without worrying about it getting to cold. As someone who savours before devouring, I really appreciate this.

I asked if they could make an iced mocha (not on the menu)c and one of the baristas was very quick to reply yes. He coached the other barista on how to make it so she knew for next time. Super quick service too! read more

Back to the roots, classic roasters with mad barista skills. They thankfully have a very traditional menu with modest homemade baked goods. I enjoyed an Americano with a date square. It is also attached to a record shop, which was a cool browse while waiting. read more

If you haven't been there lately, you owe it to yourself. They've always had a great location, nice enough design, and are fastidious about their coffee but now their espresso roast is excellent. I live in the the Pacific Northwest and am spoiled for choice of third wave coffee; St. Paul's stands shoulder to shoulder with my other favourite bar espressos. Very smooth. In time, I'd love to see them expand their line up and maybe include some single origins - if the market supports it. Anyway, great job gentlemen. read more

BOTTOM LINE: Definitely check this place out for your coffee needs…read more Located in what sounds to be a temporary location until they find a larger space, they're really more of a coffee roaster/supplier than coffee shop, at least for now. That said, it's worth your while to drop by here during their (limited) hours to see how their coffee tastes fresh. And I do mean fresh, as in, literally just roasted for your order! I had a chance to chat with the owner, Jamie, who explained how he sourced and selected his beans, and how his blends are purposefully sweeter in profile and barely bitter at all. I'd definitely agree with that, and they're also really smooth. Their flavour profile is in contrast to another popular roastery in town that seems to favour stronger and more bitter profiles. Our chat extended into some serious coffee nerdiness, and suffice to say, the owner is a pretty big enthusiast and aficionado! Finally, you can purchase their beans from their website with free delivery with a minimum order purchase, and their shop sells some standard coffee supplies and gadgets.
