I've been to many vets over the years and have had lots of pets, but I've never experienced the kind of care I've received at Saint Paul's. Honestly, I was surprised--being a walk-in clinic, I expected a quick in-and-out experience, maybe something impersonal. But it was the complete opposite. The team at Saint Paul's truly cares--not just about the pets, but about the people who love them. I've had one of my cats undergo surgery there, and more recently, my boy (a dog) had a seizure. I was in complete panic mode, barely holding it together. But even the other customers were kind and supportive, helping me get inside. Once I was in, the staff gave my dog--and me--the time, attention, and compassion we desperately needed. They treated us with nothing but love and care. Even though they don't take appointments and operate on a call-ahead, walk-in basis, they are 100% worth the wait. I highly recommend this vet clinic. We took Chanz our beautiful Lab/Pit mix in to St.Paul to get a check up. He has a lot of health issues,he is after all 18 yrs. old/ 126 doggie years. Dr.Zak was very nice,gentle and got down to Chanz's level. We have finally realized and agree that it's Chanz time to go Doggie Heaven. He can't get up,he's lost control of his bowels/bladder. He's never, ever since he was a puppy had accidents before. I will be contacting St. Paul in the a.m. He needs this done right away. He hasn't gotten up on his own since Friday. Went in and there were 3 people at the front desk. Pretty empty inside. They remodeled it looks updated and more spacious. The people in front of me finished up only one of the girls was helping someone. I was about to go forward when the girl snapped we'll get to you in a minute. Alright. I was the only one in line. 2 front desk workers looking at each other like they were trying to see who would give in and take me. Couple minutes went past the one who snapped took me. Was about a 10 minute wait. I had an appointment. The Dr and tech were nice. Got my girlies shots updated. They said sit down in the lobby and someone will check me out. After waiting about 15 minutes. Mind you. It was empty only one girl waiting who was a walk in in the lobby the vet tech came out and asked noones helped you? I said no. She looked at them and they ignored her. 10 minutes went past and I was annoyed. I told the girl can you charge me I've been waiting well over 20 minutes. She had an attitude saying well I didn't know you were waiting I said the tech came out and said loudly between you guys if I've been helped. She said I was busy and I didn't hear that. She kept trying to go back and forth with me. Which just made me more annoyed. I paid asked for my copy of the receipt and my girls updated vaccines paper copy and left. Front desk people deff aren't great. Attitude's and it's like their trying to see who can work slower. Vet techs and Drs. are amazing sweethearts and great with animals but just know you have to deal with the front desk no matter what. read more

My problem is with the customer service. The person or persons who answered the phone October 24 2025 has no people skills. I'm trying to get my medication for my dog and have the prescription which i was told lasted a year. She was dismissive and handed me off to another person when I asked the question about still having a current prescription. The next woman already seemed like she just wanted to get me off of the phone. I could tell she was irritated and not liking my questions which I asked respectfully as I needed her assistance. She said I could not get the medication because it was too late- then she said she had the prescription and would print it if i needed to see it as the year was almost up (not in a helpful manner but in the you don't know what you're talking about manner so you need to see it but also we are on the phone so is that helpful- no- she was also making the assumption that I had no clue what was on the prescription) I said I have it Infront of me. She said I did not get the refills fast enough. She said it's like when you to the doctor. (speaking down to me) to which I replied I have a certain amount of time to get those refills i don't have to get each at a certain date. She also said it's been almost a year and that is up tomorrow. I said I made my order weeks ago but chewy said St. Paul never responded to them so i did not make an order for a prescription going out of date tomorrow it was weeks ago- but even if it was i asked why give someone something that should last a year and then punish them for taking a year? Then she said it was a 6 month prescription. But she also just said it was going out of date the next day- a year- like I was told when I got the prescription. (so is the its going out of date tomorrow or it s a 6th month prescription a lie) She also said they stopped using the portal to verify prescriptions so that may be why st paul didn't respond to which I said I actually asked chewy about the use of the portal versus actually calling and they said they were actually calling. She said you should have ran out. I replied that we stretched it a bit and don't always take it everyday but always when needed and she said ooooh! well I going to have to let the vet know that- as if I did something wrong or making me think she would tell the vet I don't need it. (mind you its for inflammation, she was not a vet, she knew nothing about my dog her needs her history or how well I take care of my dog. ) She then said she would ask the vet about allowing me to get the prescription-but that that vet wasn't even there anymore. I asked her to explain what I was saying to the vet so she had all the information, so she would know i made the order weeks ago- and she seemed to be irritated by that ask. I would have much rather been able to speak to a vet because they probably would have communicated with more respect care and compassion and not had a chip on their shoulder. I even said I am not trying to be a bother I am just trying to get my dog what she needs that I was struggling due to all of the federal cuts and trying to get ahead of it for my dog but was stretched too thin to also pay for a new visit. She returned and said the vet said no because they have to follow rules. I said well it would be nice if it were clear on the prescription the amount of time you have. (there is no end date and it does not say you have to get each refill by which date- which is what she was telling me) She also told me that person who wrote the script wasn't there anymore at St. Paul but after she came back to the phone she said she talked to the vet who wrote the script. (so either lied saying that person no longer worked there or lied saying she spoke to the person who wrote the script the year prior) She completely dismissed me and did not acknowledge I was speaking and kind of spoke over me when she said "so do you want an appointment." I told her she was being a bit nice- nasty and she basically said bye and hung up. So terrible experience. Very disappointed with how i was treated. Customer service is key- respect care and compassion is needed. I know St. Paul may not care about losing a customer, or about how many customers I have in the past recommended to come to St Paul whom I will speak with again. But as a company you should never be okay with your customers being treated in such a way, but real work and possibly training should be done so that people are not met with attitudes and dismissive actions. People should not bring their personal issues to the workplace, and if people do not like working with the public the company should help them find a more suitable role so that your customers do not suffer. We were driving from NYC to Milwaukee and our dog was very sick with bloody diarrhea. We looked up urgent care locations and this one had good hours so we set our GPS to lead us directly there. We arrived at 2:30 pm and followed the instructions to get in. We called the number on the door but nobody answered the phone. We could see a woman behind the counter and it was clear that she could see us but she would not answer the phone when we called, nor would she answer our knocking. Finally someone walked out of the clinic with their pet and we walked in with our sick dog in our arms. They then told us that they weren't accepting any more patients for the day. What? They were still open for hours! We begged for help as we had been driving across the country with our sick dog for two days, needing to stop every 30 minutes to let her go to the bathroom. They simply said no and showed no compassion. Then one of them said that we could sit and see if they got any openings in a few hours. Based on the shoddy treatment we had already encountered, we realized it wasn't worth the gamble and left. We then went to Frontier Urgent Care. What a difference! They saw us right away and diagnosed our dog with roundworm. It's a much better clinic! Go there, not to St Paul. read more

I have been going to St Paul's vet for over 25 years. Everything was great until COVID came. While we accepted the fact that we had to sit out in the parking lot and come in when we are able to, the service now is almost impossible to get into the facility. You're not open on Saturdays anymore and for us clients that work Monday through Friday it is impossible to get in. The hours are not accurate to what is being put out on their voicemail recordings. I tried three times to get my dog in for a serious skin condition and each time we called before noon they were already full for the day. How can you be full for the day when you're open until 8:00 p.m. and are not taking any more clients. Drove to the clinic one day just to find out that they were closed when their voicemail hours said that they were open. I understand that sometimes changes need to be made due to staffing and other issues, but these issues have gone on for months and I have had to resort to take my dogs to another vet. read more

This clinic came highly recommended by multiple people online who raved about the quality of service and the good care the vets provided their cats/dogs. Of course, hearing this... I wanted to take my dogs here to get a vaccine and renewals of their flea, tick, heartworm medications. This is a first come first serve clinic and I had to wait 1.5 hours in the parking lot to be seen. The vet tech who took care of the dogs was nice enough. One dog got his shot and had renewals of their medications. All was well. She asked if I wanted to buy the medications there... and I agreed. What a terrible idea! Prior vet I had seen offered very fair prices (equivalent to Chewy.. want to supply local businesses so of course I'd pick vet over Chewy)... but this clinic did not fall into the same category. Heartguard @St. Paul - 6 month supply (6 pills) = $78 vs. Chewy $57 (w/ autoship) Nextguard @St. Paul - 6 month supply (5 pills) = $192 vs. Chewy $120 (w/ autoshop) Lesson learned - do not buy any medications from this practice. read more

Worst experience ever. They let us in, Told us sit down JUST for them to tell us to leave because we're not checked in. Why would you not ask that from the beginning of letting us in the building? Love your pet. My previous vet was a pain, you had to schedule an appointment a week out and they make you feel like crap for not taking their up-sell's. You don't get that at St. Paul. The fees here are reasonable, $39 each for distemper and bordetella shots. It's first-come, first-served with never a long wait and they are open into the early evening. read more

I've been to St. Paul vet a few times, my review is of my most recent experience. My 17 year old cat has been going outside of the litterbox and traditionally this has always been due to a UTI. The clinic is walk -in only (not for surgeries I assume) so there are good times to go and good times to not go without a wait. I was there around 2 pm on a Friday and didn't have to wait long to see Dr. Dean. He was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. It would be nice if you could request a specific vet but I'm not sure you can do that. If so, I would ask to work with him again! Turns out kitty had no bladder issues and her blood test came back perfect. I like that they didn't try to sell me on other tests, they said it would only be needed if her behavioral issues continued and also offered ways to help with that. I am happy that they now accept Care Credit, just in case you need to go that route and can take advantage of a promo like no interest for 6 months etc. They have hours that make it easy for first shifters to take their pet in without having to miss work. I like this clinic, although nothing fancy. I will continue to use them as my vet office! read more

This place is useless, never take your pet here. I had to wait 6 hours the first time I came in for him to check on my cat for a spay. I pay for the initial appointment and to have her nails cut, after they tell me that it is more than $350 to operate on her, I make the appointment. They never cut her nails and they tell me that on Friday when she goes to operate they will cut them. They told me that they would call the day before to confirm and give me the instructions. They NEVER called, anyway on Friday I took her in the morning as they had told me initially. Then when I arrive I call and they don't want to answer the phone, I knock on the door and a lady starts yelling through the door that they are not open for me to leave, she never let me speak. I keep calling and he answers telling me to go away. Without her letting me speak at any time, I tried to tell her that I came for a Spay and that they told me that I had to be here at that time. She started insulting me and yelling on the phone without even letting me speak. He never let me talk, nor go in in the cold and with my pet outside. I don't usually give five stars, I reserve five star ratings for best in class, that's what "Whoohoo! As good as it gets!" means to me. There are no other veterinary clinics like this one, so it's both the best and worst in class. It's a sort of cross between an urgent care clinic, Korean War era M*A*S*H unit, the Cook County Hospital Emergency Room, but for animals. It's not really first come first serve, there's a pretty sophisticated triage system in spite of, or underneath the enveloping chaos and disorder. The vets, vet techs, and front desk staff are at once jaded, rushed, efficient, efficacious, overwhelmed, confident, busy, irritable, and loving every minute of it. They are adrenaline junkies. They don't take appointments, come in as soon as they open and bring a book, but if you have an urgent situation (please don't misuse the adjective, emergent), they may be your best bet. It's not a free clinic, but it's pretty clear it's a low profit shoestring budget operation. It's in a scary inner city neighborhood, but I like this. Those of us paying, help the operation take care of pets whose owners aren't going to be charged full price. It's clearly not a great business model but I admire that they are motivated by something other than profit. The equipment and building itself are far from new and state of the science, and yet there is something truly professional about this place. Here's how I found out about it. I have too many cats in my house. All of them are taking advantage of my Buddhist nature. I didn't ask for a single one of them and none of them are doing anything about the squirrels that keep gnawing their way into my attic. Lazy bums. A couple of weeks ago this little tuxedo kitten was laying in the sun up on the berm on the south side of my house and I approached it to say hi. It didn't run from me but made alarmed and scared noises and crawled off in an odd way into my bushes. I wanted to check it out but when I approached the bushes it went in deeper out of my reach so I just talked to it for a while. It talked back to me in a frightened and plaintive voice so I left it alone. I returned much later at night, the temperature had dropped quite a bit and this poor wretch had managed to drag itself up to my front door, shivering and mewling in what turned out to be a desperate plea for help. It was dark and late, I put it in my vestibule to keep it separated from my feline room mates, space heater, water and food. It hungrily devoured the food, it was skin and bones only so it had been starving but it seemed something was wrong with its legs. The next morning in the light it was apparent this young little cat was severely injured. I called my regular vets at the Greenfield Vet Clinic and they were double booked all day. I think they would have still squeezed me in for one of my cats but this was a stray and by my description it wasn't long for this world. It was a stray so I didn't want to pay the high fees at the Lakeshore Veterinary Emergency Clinic, where again I would have taken one of my cats; YELP helped me find this place. I was pretty sure I was taking this cat in to be euthanized so no name, trying to not get attached, but this little creature was being just so brave and in spite of clearly being very hurt, was very grateful for a little warmth and kindness. We got moved to the front of the line and immediately seen by a vet who reminded me of the character Hawkeye Pierce in demeanor. This fast and immediate response gave me a sinking feeling that mixed oddly with the reassuring feeling I got from competent and sympathetic demeanor of this vet, another vet who came in to see, two vet techs and the front desk staff. After some rapid tests, x-rays and exam, it turned out she (found out she is female) had a shattered pelvis - her hips fractured in a complicated manner. I was warned that in trauma like this, it's not likely that all the major organs are intact....variables and possibilities were given to me in a straightforward manner. We were sent home with more potent painkiller than was needed if you get what I mean and I made her as comfortable as possible to see if she would survive to Monday when I had an appointment at Greenfield. Everyone who encountered this courageous little cat had a sincere interest in how this would turn out, though I think experienced enough to expect tragedy. But the kitten made it to Monday, at the Greenfield clinic my regular vet said this still unnamed little patient needed some very expensive specialty treatment, and there was only one place in town with thes sort of crack orthopedic surgeons she needed. You can turn to my review of the Lakeshore Veterinary hospital if you want to see how this cat's story turns out but to get back to the review of the St. Paul clinic, I think they are heroic. I hope I never have to come here again, but I am very grateful they are. read more

This place hasn't been the same since the pandemic. It's first come first serve, but now you have to wait in your car for typically an hour before you are called. I arrived and was told to call back in about an hour to see if they had any more openings because they were so behind from the morning. We've always had good experiences with this clinic prior to the pandemic but it's like they never made the adjustment back to normal. I'm not sure if they are short staffed or what the issue is, but be prepared to wait a long time. They should consider taking appointments. read more

I took my beloved furbaby here after coming home from a trip and found that my petsitter had not filled any on the water bowls or waters wells. Each was bone dry. My baby had been deprived of water for appx. 7 + days. I arrived at the clinic explaining that my baby was a victim of neglect, as well as the fact that both my baby's were ill from this but this one was not able to walk, couldnt lift her head, her voice was dry and deep, she was down a lot in her weight. I first explained to a woman that took me to a room, and again to the doctor that came in after!!! I even read them the text from the petsitter that stated that the Toilet Bowl was only closed for 2 days. FACT: Neither of my babies EVER drank from a toilet!!! So the clinic puts an IV bag of saline? Into my baby. I already was upset, but to make it worse, the area my baby was in was filthy. Surrounded by cleaning supplies & in a tight & smelly area.They took her blanket & pillow & my baby now lay on a towel that smelled like bleached dog crap. I was told that I could spend time w/her while she was there, laying in that smelly, cold cage.They said bloodwork would be done & that she'd be heated. I was told that they were closed on Sunday so I couldn't visit. I asked Who would be caring for her & I was told that A CLEANING STAFF if they Notice anything that they're to contact someone on staff at the clinic. I sat for a while & then left so that the Clinic could begin bloodwork & treatment. I called later in the day & still no bloodwork had been done.Sunday came, no contact which told me she was still alive. Monday I called to get updates & left message. Later in the afternoon, the Vet/Owner of the clinic left me a message. Said they were going to get bloodwork and he left his # for me to call. I kept calling & it was NOT his number! Tuesday I got a call that my baby was dead. I went to see her & it was CLEAR she had been gone for a while, yet they were keeping her body warm. I saw her face/mouth all bruised & immediately asked what the hell happened! They said that this was from one of the employees force feeding her. Holy WtF! NEVER do you force solid foods into a life form that has been severely deprived of water! She needed fluids, both IV & Subcutaneous ( which she never ) Food should NOT have been forced into my sick baby's mouth!! I was/am So ticked off!! I continued asking bout the bruising & that I wanted her blanket & pillow.Was asked about Cremation... From Start to Finish, EVERYTHING was about GETTING THE $$$ FIRST!! NO Compassion at all! Next time I picked up my baby, she was handed to me , w/No Compassion, in what looked like a Crown Royal bag.My heart IS crushed, I AM disgusted furious at the Clinic, Staff, Vet and the Heffer that NEGLECTED my Babies!!! After a period of grieving, I called the police to press charges. ( THIS WOMAN HAS HAD NO REMORSE AT ALL! ) IM Told this is Felony animal abuse and I can press charges once I get the medical report. I call up St. Paul Veterinary, asked about getting the report.; at which time I was told that nothing i had told them when i brought her in was noted and that TECHNICALLY SHE WAS AN OBJECT" I was so ticked off!! I asked, "If i see a dog getting abused & see kicks to the ribs, i bring in the dog and tell what i saw, none of this will have notation? You keep doing random tests and ignoring the info provided?" She said she'd have the doc call me. So, when the Owner called I explained what happened, he said his employees should not call my baby an object! Then he said he don't get involved w/this cuz it would put him out of Business!, he to called my baby an object & said that he couldn't take my word what happened. I just picked up Report, no bloodwork till the day she died, convulsions I never knew about, couldn't eat or swallow ( yet they FORCED HER) Body temp to low to get read! Clinic good for quick needs but not as a regular vet, we use them for vaccines because they are inexpensive also got my little dog fixed they did a good job I don't like the first come first serve because waiting in your car when it's 5 degrees can be rough. I would not use them for illness because they don't really have the follow up like a regular vet and they may not know your pet well enough to know if there are personality changes. St. Paul's clinic is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Since this is an first come first served clinic, If you go on a Saturday be prepared to wait, but clinic is fully staffed and the wait is too bad. If you are just going for a check up and shots, go during the week they have great hours. I have never had a bad experience here. read more

I used to take my dog here, and honestly i never had a problem (she passed) got two new pups 3 (years now) i can honestly say after covid this place became less than average. Employees at reception are rude- and their less than impressive vet techs treat pets like they are over it- not like they enjoy their job. Needless to say done with this place. read more

I am visiting from Florida and googled this office, it was also recommended by family. Very disappointed. To begin with there was absolutely no place to take my doggie to pee or poop while waiting in the car. Just a big cemented parking lot. There was poop and pee everywhere near the entrance and the walkway leading to the front door. I had to dodge and tip toe just to attempt to walk my doggie. They should place a grassy area with poop bags somewhere like every other vets office my 5 dogs have gone to. Second, the vet seemed to be indifferent and uncaring. No sign of empathy for how I was worried about my furbaby. Treated her like she was just a number and seemed annoyed when I questioned him. I explained to him about my dogs broken jaw and floating mandible and he still grabbed her neck forcing meds done her throat without explaining what he was gonna do. I feel like he hurt her $4500 jaw surgery because now she doesn't eat, And is very timid. Time will tell. I do not recommend this vets office nor will I ever go there again. read more

The only clinic I've taken my pets to in Milwaukee. The staff are always so courteous and friendly. The prices weren't drastic for reasons for being there. The clinic stays open until around 9 most nights. Even when packed I've never spent longer than hour during our visits. read more

I use this vet clinic on a regular basis and I like the fact that it does not take appointments, it is a walk-in clinic with evening and Saturday hours Their original pretense was that they called themselves "The Working Mans Vet" and were listed as a low-cost center. But just like everything else prices are creeping up. There is a large number of services they have on site. x-rays, some labs, dental, spay or neuter, microscopic testing, anesthesia,​ just be cautioned that I took my dog in for a rabies shot, they called him in and gave him his shot and when I saw the bill they had only given t​he-year​ rabies instead of the 3 years​. When I asked about it, I was told: "Well you didn't​ ask for the 3year!" I guess I just assumed he would get his three year and that they as the professionals should​ have clarified. Live and learn I guess. Otherwise,​ the staff is very good. D.​r Phil, Dr. Ben and the owner Dr. Singh are all very good at basic stuff, shots, ears spay​, ​neuter, minor surgeries​, The even neutered my rabbit, but I probably would go to one of the emergency​y centers if it was something more complex. This is gonna be a biased review because these people saved my cat's life. No bones about it, if you save the life of my loved ones I'm going to give you five stars. But I'm not completely biased; they certainly earned their stars. About a year ago one of my cats, Guinea Pig, was being super lethargic. Just lying around behind things and panting and having some weird discharge. We called another animal hospital in town and they told us we needed to take her to a vet immediately, no questions asked, RIGHT NOW. St. Paul was the closest to our house that would do a walk in and w/in a few moments of us getting here there we got to see a doctor who took her for a few quick tests and told us that she had a pretty wickedly bad infection and would need surgery. $1000 surgery. *gulp* After explaining our situation to him (college students, car payments, rent, etc) he let us pay about a fifth of it then and give him the rest when we could. He did the surgery that day, boarded her for a week or so to make sure there were no complications and then returned her good as new. Now she is fat as a goose and happy as a clam. Good hours. First come, first served. See any doctor available... which means multiple trips can have varying results and communication can scary from good to fair. Prescriptions have to be picked up - no email/fax/etc. Great option for flexibility in hours - unless its a busy day. Or you forget your prescription. read more

I have been a beloved pet owner my whole life and only take my fur babies to the best, St. Paul vet is amazing, caring and affordable. I truly appreciate them seeing my babies during the pandemic and doing what they can. I had to have my puff "cat" put to rest, they let me stay in the room with him as long as I needed, I had a private cremation and they sent me a beautiful card and box for him when he was able to come home. My brother and I brought his 3.5 year old white Siberian Husky, Snow in because he had apparently swallowed a tennis ball at some point in a previous day. I was watching him. We had tried three other veterinatry ERs and it was just too expensive for surgery. We were pointed toward St Paul's. Dr. Donahue was fantastic in explaining everything and the price was reasonable. It turned out that Snow did not need surgery because Dr. Donahue instinctively tried to get Snow to throw the ball up as previous vets did....only this time it worked and alot of money was saved. The customer service here is absolutely horrific. I called to get replacement anxiety meds for my little dog who relies on them and was lectured and even berated by the staff. My other dog had gotten into the meds and destroyed them, hence the need for replacements. After speaking to 7 different members of staff, all of whom did not help and passed me off, I was told that I could not get replacements meds because I had just picked up his refill. And if I absolutely needed them someone else there would have to sign off on it. My dog is currently going through withdrawals and suffering and I am not being allowed to get the meds to help him. After all that I was called a shitty person for getting frustrated and anxious about the situation. After not getting any help at all, other then yet another note left in my dogs file that I needed more of his meds, I called to get the owners information to contact them directly. I was put on hold and then the phone was picked up and unceremoniously hung up on. It was very obviously that it was deliberate. My family has been coming to this vet for generations and have always had great care but recently, that care a service has disappeared completely. I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic and everyone is stressed and frustrated but it is no excuse to talk to customers this way. I would even understand if it was a one time thing, people having a bad day I get it, but this happened numerous times. It is horrible and completely unacceptable customer service. The owner needs to address their staffs attitude, immediately. read more

Zero wasn't an option... Arrived at 11:40am on a Friday and was told there were 10 people in front of me. My son and I waited 2+ hours in the car with both our dog and cat (they don't allow anyone in the waiting room, you wait for a call). After 2 hours I called and was told there were 5-6 people still ahead of me. I'd seen at least 10 people go in and out the doors. We found another vet, made an appt and left. They called me after FOUR hours to say it was my turn. The voice mail apologized saying they were short doctors that day. I called back to have our pets records moved to the new vet and a snippy person informed me, after I suggested telling people they were short doctors when they first called in, that the entire industry is short doctors. But followed up saying they weren't short doctors, they were busy with sick pets. Basically your healthy pets mean nothing to them, and neither does your time. So unless you have all day to wait in their lot for your turn and enjoy dealing with rude disrespectful employees, find another vet. read more

The vets are nice and respectable but the lady answering the phone has no respect at all, we waited outside for a hour and 20 minutes and I called to see how much much and she got super rude with me, I would recommend somewhere where they're a little more respectful. read more

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!! If I could give 0 stars I would. By far the worst experience I have ever had at a vet. I not only waited in the parking lot for three hours with my injured, anxious and sick dog but also had a less than unsatisfactory experience with staff. I understand being short staffed and having extended wait times because of said, however I was called to bring my dog in for an opening and still managed to wait hours...??? Poor scheduling and compassion for my sick dog. Not to mention the large bill for my pup to be examined- which I had to ask for said examination after I was told I was going to be charged for and questioned why nobody looked at my dog yet. I wish it ended there, the icing on the cake was the doctor that I waited over three hours to see. She was unprofessional to ann extreme and was clearly under the influence. I was uncomfortable my entire visit and my poor dog has never been so anxious. Save yourself the trip and the money and find a place that cares more about their patients and paying customers. read more

I have been a customer of St.Paul Veterinary Clinic for 30 plus years. The care is fine, but the way they handle the intake is awful. You have to call in when you are there and then wait for them to call you when it is your turn. I waited for over 3 hours to have my dog seen. I called twice to get an update as to where he was in the list. The second time I called a very rude gentleman told me to stop calling and I was 5th in line. I waited for a call for an hour and fifteen minutes, then I did call back to make sure my dog was on the list and they said they called me and left a message. Not true. No call, no message. If they did they called the wrong number. The girl that answered told me my dog would be next. I watched 2 other animals go in. I left and went to the emergency care hospital. This was a most disappointing experience. When I got home I found that they in fact did call and left a message on my home voicemail, not on the cell phone like I originally told them. So they did call, but on the wrong phone. They made a mistake that cost me another hour of waiting. This is not about the care. It is about poor customer service. They should consider taking appointments or come up with a better system. Maybe it is calling ahead to get registered and then they call you 1/2 hour before so you can then come from home and you not wait in your car for 3 plus hours. read more

This place is very terrible to take your pet. I had a 6 week old puppy with low glucose and was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. They gave my dog some glucose treatment dewormed him and sent him on home within about 10 minutes. Me trusting the vet because they're supposed to help us out. I woke up the next morning to my pup dead lifeless which crushed soul. This place has very little care for any of the dogs that comes in and out of there. I would never recommend them ! read more
