We stumbled upon this most lovely shop in downtown Sturgeon Bay, specializing in fine wood kitchen…read moreproducts. Each of these pieces are a work of art--beautifully crafted and gorgeous quality. They specialize in heirloom quality cutting boards, utensils, bowls and charcuterie boards. There were so many options and items--I especially enjoyed all the charcuterie and cheese board options and accessories. My husband immediately fell in love with an endgrain cutting board that came home with us. We spent time speaking with Rose, the owner, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. We look forward to returning next time we visit Door County!

Admittedly most of the things for sale are kind of weird or in some cases junky. But what's one mans junk, may be an others gold! It's worth a walk around, and at least there are no dried cherries, olive oil or wine for sale! Definitely a diversion from the same old Door County tourist shop!

It's just fun, staffed by lovely, enthusiastic people who want to help you be a better sous-chef, chef, short-order cook or anyone who aspires to do great things in the kitchen. You could literally walk-in having never cooked in a kitchen and walk out ready to serve a homecooked meals. Their prices are reasonable and selection impossibly large. It has a museum quality to it as when you are in the back you are just sorta' herded along to the next art installation! :--) It's a not miss when in Sturgeon Bay! Who doesn't love free sniffs? Kyle was very proud to tell us all about the products that he makes and sells -- from his goats! Not only does Kyle have a goat farm, and his own businesses, but he told us that he's also studying entrepreneurship at a local community college. Whew! This kid is quite the guy and we were happy to support his endeavors. The shop is a really fun nod to local artisans. So many neat gifts, art, body care items, foodie favorites, and more. Fan of Schitt's Creek? He's got you covered there, too. We purchased several bars of his goat milk soap (see my photos) and a smudge stick. Wish I had bought more of each, so i'll be checking out his website. Definitely check out this unique shop in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Shop local.

We dropped in here whilest we were having a stroll along Sturgeon Bay's main drag of 3rd Ave.  It's…read morea nice, touristy place to pick up souvenirs or trinklets for any kiddo's in the family.  It's an old school but homey setup with lots of creative toys, books, games, knick-knacks crammed into every open space in the store.  The store is actually owned by Bonnie who also co-owns the White Lace Inn B&B with her husband Dennis, and as a guest at White Lace, we got 10% off of our purchases here.  Naturally, there was PR for this store when we checked in.  Terri was our friendly and welcoming staffer on duty, and I chit-chatted with her as the wife shopped.  That's my standard MO y'know.  The goods are on the pricey side but that's to be expected in this prime touristy location.

They offer I believe 60 different scents and we were able to smell the scents we like, then choose 3 scents to combine. You pour into a small cup and stir the scents you choose. There is no measuring just add and adjust by smell. Later you add it into the melted wax and stir. Last step is pour into the jar. We weren't able to fit into our schedule to pick up that same day, so we went back the next day to pick up our candles. Smells so good and is the only candle with that unique smell you choose and created. The company also takes a part of the profits and donate to an organization.

So I cancelled my trip to Taylor Creek that day, and over the river and through the woods to Sturgeon Bay we went. The place is beautiful and located in Sturgeon Bay's gorgeous historical downtown, otherwise known as Third Avenue. The upstairs has a nice selection and it is well-organized. The space is tight but the shop is also located in one of the historic buildings that line the downtown, so space is utilized as well as possible. The downstairs has everything Christmas! I purchased three new Old World ornaments and all the salespeople were nice, asking if I needed anything gift wrapped and how my experience was there. It was busy but the customer service was excellent. I really enjoyed this Hallmark shop and it had a beautiful selection of everything I was looking for.

Maas Floral saved the day for us!!!…read more Our daughter passed away, and we decided to have her memorial service in her native Door County, a 3.5 hour drive from home. We had ordered flowers from our local florist and it was my job to pick them up on the way to Door Co. In the chaos and emotional confusion, I forgot to pick them up on the day of the service and didn't realize this until I had reached Sturgeon Bay. It was 11:30 am and the only greenhouse in Sturgeon Bay -- Maas Floral -- closed at Noon on Saturday. These wonderful folks took care of us and made a beautiful arrangement that was even prettier than the one originally ordered, and had us out the door and on the road in time to make the 1 pm service in Fish Creek with time to spare. I was amazed at their skill and ability to take care of us so well and so quickly on such short notice. I HIGHLY recommend this florist to anyone! Great people!
