From the moment I stepped in the door, I knew Outlook was different. There are a lot of loving people there who love you know matter what. The teaching and worship on Sunday mornings is so inspiring as well. I also love that Outlook has activities, classes, missions and community programs for everyone including (but not limited to): 1. An awesome children's program for nursery through 5th grade which includes Sunday morning classes, VBS every year and bi-weekly "life group" for the kiddos. 2. A sports program for children including soccer, football, volleyball and basketball. Open to anyone in the community. You don't have to be a member. 3. An excellent youth ministry focused on teaching teens Gods word and how to follow Jesus. They have tons of activities for the youth including missions trips and community outreach projects to name a few. 4. Many community outreach projects including supporting a food pantry, a ministry clothing children, a tutoring program for IPS schools, an annual community work day, partnerships with several local missions such as Good Shepard, thanksgiving food baskets for the community, Christmas Angel trees, missions trips overseas and within the US and so on. The list is pretty extensive and I know I have left out a lot. 5. Community classes and ministry programs open to anyone, not just members such as Divorce Care, Grief Share, Celebrate Recovery, Financial Peace, etc. 6. Not to mention over 40 life groups to choose from to help your family become involved with others in the church and to help you grow. I am positive I have forgotten others things. Being contemporary, there were many young adults, but the age range was larger than I had expected. They were talking on a series, "Won't You Be My Neighbor". They had two handouts; one for main points and notes, and one directly related to the reading for the day. The music was live and energetic, as well as the congregation. The 11:30 service had some seats open, and I enjoyed the experience. Communion service was not pressured, one could get in line and participate at their own will. There were also gluten free offerings. The spirit of the pastor and the congregation was contagious, I would absolutely visit again.

The church itself is located in New Palestine and is very easy to find. They have recently started offering a Saturday evening service. As a young single gal, this option is great because I can easily attend this service and then still have the rest of the evening free. You still have the perks of singing, hearing a great message and meeting new people. The other night they offered a fun photo booth for families to enjoy. These little additions can make all the difference. The attendees are a great mixture of all ages. So, if you decide to come, know that you'll be in good hands and that a great worship opportunity awaits you. :-)
