Many churches are closing their doors because of lack of attendance, imagine how surprised I was when we pulled up and there was a line almost around the building of people standing with their kids, waiting to drop them off. We were one of the few people who are not members. My son is having a great time. Every day they do a craft they play organized games outside and learn about God Everyone I have spoken to can't say enough about how wonderful their church is. There is a full kitchen and dining hall, an auditorium with a stage, a beautiful worship space and classrooms for study groups. They have a preschool and a separate area for high school aged children to hang out. I was also very surprised that the Pastor of such a large congregation knew that we weren't members and introduced himself after spotting us in line. If you're Baptist or looking for a new Church, I would definitely check this place out. You won't meet a nicer group of people.

PAYING IT FORWARD!…read more His Place Ministries is a church and center for community outreach located in Melbourne Beach, Fl. I had the privilege of volunteering at the center earlier today. This center provides supportive services such as drug treatment, food and clothing to those in need. On Tues and Thurs of each week, participants are invited to come into the center for donuts and beverages. During the last Tuesday of the month participants may come in and get groceries that have been donated and can apply to the government sponsored program which also provides food. The registration process is simple and not intrusive at all. There is a very basic form that can be completed in five minutes and assistance is provided if necessary. It is nice to see a church providing direct services to those in need and I was glad that I could provide some additional support on registration day. They have a wonderful outreach team here and those participating are welcomed with warmth and acceptance. If you know someone in need, you can direct them to this program and if you have some time to volunteer, they would love to have you! ***Remember, We are to be His Hands and Feet.
