My wife and I are nurses and speaking as professionals, "it does not get any better than Switchback…read moreMedical Center". The staff are caring, knowledgeable and work very hard every day. I have been seen by all three doctors as well as Eileen. The care is excellent and you are treated like a friend. If Dr Hanley is all booked up I have always been able to be seen by someone else in the office and it really makes no difference as they all are Excellent. We have been patients here since 2002 and would not hesitate to recommend this office to anyone.

Honestly I have been here since I was a child. The doctors can be ok. Due to how long I have been…read moretheir though I have seen and experienced a lot. They take literally for ever to get to you. they may call you right back but you may wait in the room 30 minutes up to over an hour just to see the P.A. this never makes sense as this is one of the least busy offices I know. A good point is you can get blood work done right on site but most all offices have that now. They are affiliated with LVHN but have NONE of my records in the online system. They recently tried to tell me that I could not release my own records to myself. I have also had experiences where they tend to just throw meds at you. I have chronic migraines. I went in for med review as I didn't feel the med I have been on since I was 16 (I am now in my late 20's) helps as much. They told me stress is a trigger, put me on Prozac, and DOUBLED my normal med. I also told them my other migraine med has unpleasant side effects that keeps me from using it. They switched it to another in the same exact class even though I asked and suggested other classes. I was disregarded when I went in for shoulder and arm/wrist pain and told that fibromyalgia runs in my family. past that it was not looked into. (fibromyalgia is not a hereditary disorder but the osteoporosis, arthritis and spinal stenosis that runs in my family can be!) I highly do NOT suggest this particular practice for long-term use. short term they may be great and will get you in quickly if you are an established patient if in an emergent situation.

Surely you did and do realize they severely compromise my ability to find another physician? Was it CYOA, 'I'll show you' or just plain 'how dare you question me?'? You know there are things called ethics, professionalism, truth and the hippocratic oath? As I find you sorely lacking. I attached St. Luke's policy on addressing errors in notes. You erred. I was ready to just drop the whole matter until I read your scathing and yes, fictitious notes on my last visit when I had the nerve to question you. You simply dismissed me and my older brother. Cut me off, refusing to listen to my concerns, told me to find another physician and left the room not unlike a petulant child. Contrary to hospital/corporate policy I might add. So, I ask myself, "What do I do about it?" I find myself asking not only myself but several entities. I intend to pursue this matter further.

I am impressed that he stays on top of every detail of his patients' healthcare, keeping in touch throughout to ensure they are getting the best care possible. The rest of the staff at Tamaqua Primary care excell at their jobs too, very efficient, caring and helpful. My family and I appreciate having the services of this fine medical facility so close to home.

Additionalky, they lied to me about the wait time in the e/r (2 hours, haha) and in general were not professional. The transportation staff and imaging techs at the hospital were very efficient and professional. The nursing staff was top-notch, but unfortunately were stuck working under a less than competent doctor. I came in for a car accident and was in severe pain. The doctor did not seem to have a handle on just how much pain i was in an gave me 1000 mg of tylenol and a lidocaine patch, which did absolutely nothing to alleviate my very severe pain. since my pain was due to muscle injuries from the seat belt, the attending didn't take my situation seriously as there were no broken bones. She gave me a cervical collar that was way too big and when i got sick of asking for a new one, they replaced it with another ill fitting cervical collar. The doctor seemed extremely inexperienced and didnt give me adequate pain relief until i let out a scream when they tried to get me to lay flat for a ct scan with contrast. At that point they administered fentynel, but couldnt they have given me pain relief sooner so i could have avoided fentynel? I asked for a strongef medication than tylenol, and im sure tgey coukd have given me tramadol or tylenol 3 ir something besides fentylnel. I was never asked by the doctor for any medical history before administration of this controversisl drug. Never asked if i had sleep apnea, which with fentynel could have proven detrimental, possibly fatal. Additionally, it was almost 14 hours since i had eaten, as the accident occurred when i was enroute to dinner with my friend. I was not given the opportunity to eat until 11 pm, although i was in the e/r since 6:45. I was discharged close to midnight and given my level of pain, i should have been kept overnight for observation. Now i know small town hospitals havetere challeges, but alot of what i am concerned about just goes to a normal standard of care. I am very disappointed in my doctor. I felt very unseen and disrespected.
