We stopped raking 2 years ago, and that made a huge difference: we have oodles of fireflies and butterflies, way more than our neighbors who do the whole well-manicured lawn thing. Anyway, we talked to a person at the prairie booth at the Earth Day festival about native plants, and the website pointed us to Sugar Creek! We were very pleasantly surprised at the amount of options here. We were able to find all sorts of native plants to introduce into our yard. We really found it easy to navigate since they were sectioned into native and sun needs. It made it very easy once we figured it out. We were only able to afford about 6 plants the first time we came here and 4 the next time. They are a bit pricey, just fair warning. However, the selection is great and it's supporting a business that isn't a huge corporation, so it's worth a visit!

Great service, support and products!…read more We now have our second lawn mower from ARCO. We also have a leaf blower and weed trimmer. We purchased the first mower in 2009 and only just replaced it... it ran well and lasted 15+ years in much thanks to ARCO's winterizer service which, I now know that I should have winterizer it every year... I thought I had just missed last year... I hadn't taken it in for four years... ahem. Don't be like I used to be... do winterize your mower each off-season... commit to yourself to bring it in before Christmas. The first mower did not last longer than that due to an accident on a hillside that damaged it... I let it roll down the back yard hill and along the way it flipped and cracked the gas tank... ahem. Thankfully, the ARCO team was helpful; the first mower was really good and this new one, a 21-inch super recycler (it cuts each blade of grass many times) is AWESOME!! The new mower has much better wheels - thicker and better tread and they roll much more easily, and that is great. AND What really impresses me is the cutting. In spring, grass is always the thickest and we keep our grass tall, so when we cut there is usually a lot of clippings. I typically bag the grass but I did not use the bag this first cut. And I'm amazed... the grass is thick this week. The last time I cut, there were clumps of grass all around the yard, especially where I turned - this is not uncommon. This time - no clumps - this new dual blade makes many fine pieces of each blade of grass, and those small pieces apparently fall deep into the yard and serve to help strengthen the grass (per the Toro video on YouTube). I was also able to walk over the old clumps of last week's grass and they were shredded and disappeared, too - amazing! Thank you to the entire ARCO team, for the original sales and support and for this amazing new Toro 21" super recycler lawn mower!!

I was quoted a $60 deposit and $150 total limit before they'd call. It was clearly explained and I understood. I was told "2 weeks," which I also understood. 12 days later, I received a text that it was ready. Total bill was $123; it runs like new. ARCO explained the process, pricing, did what they said they'd do, in the time frame they predicted. Yes, I'll go back when I need them again.

The employees are always very friendly and always seem to be buzzing around like bees taking care of the hive. We recently went to get pieces to make a fairy garden and the selections for small cacti and succulents were nice. Not really a lot more to add that hasn't already been said in other reviews. We've been several times and will continue to go - there is always something new to look at and buy. Happy shopping!

They cut me an incredible deal on the rocks. I ended up paying about 1/3 of what I was expecting to pay. The workers were super nice. They were inside having a great time telling jokes, and just loving their time at work. I do not know much about gardening, but the plant selection seemed to be pretty extensive. Incredibly grateful to the folks over at Colors of Spring for hooking me up and being such a good time. Great folks, great customer service.

This is quite a delayed review- but better late than never. :)…read more My mom really wanted some hanging plants for Mother's Day. I always drive by Colors of Spring and notice the beautiful plants outside (when they're open). We went together to pick them out, and loved the different varieties that they offered. We parked on Fyler for street parking, and walked in the back. Lots of different areas to look and choose from. I'm the furthest from a plant pro, so I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly what I saw. However; they looked well taken care of and of good quality. There were also a large variety on the outside of the front of the shop on Watson. We found a couple we liked to check out and the staff member working explained to my mom how to properly take care of her choices- water amount, sunlight amount. It was a quick and easy experience, I would definitely go back to find more in the future!
