I am not from St. Louis, but had spent close to 30 days in the area for my dad's hospitalization. They were very helpful in helping me get in contact with who I needed to to get my dads doctor to issue a death certificate so I could get all the paperwork in order quickly, it was a tough time for me and they made a challenging situation professional and quick. I Had extensive dealings with staff and they bent over backwards to help facilitate an out of state transfer of remains of my loved one, and assist with an urn solution that had strict criteria due to limited space in a niche' remains site. I am very disappointed! My mother was buried at Jefferson barracks cemetery in April! St Louis Cremation lead us to believe that there was going to be some kind of wake at the cemetery. When we arrived they were in the process of putting her urn in the ground. The family had to wait an hour until she was buried to give our last respects. When I called them to address this issue the person who took care of my mom would not even return my phone call! When I spoke to the boss he was cold like not there fault. Speaking to the cemetery they said no wakes were being held at that time due to the virus. They had one chance to get it right AND THEY DID NOT! read more

My son died suddenly and I had to travel several hours to get there to make the arrangements. I did not know anyone there that could help me, except the hospital recommended your St. Louis Cremation 2135 Chouteau Ave. I am so grateful they did, the staff at the funeral home were very kind every time I talked to them. When I got home I had many questions and they were so kind to me on the phone and helped me in every way they could. My experience with St. Louis Cremation was excellent. The staff was very professional, courteous, and sympathetic. Sam, the undertaker, did an amazing job on my son. Sam has a talent and a gift that is beyond her years. My son committed suicide so my last vision of him, before he was taken to the medical examiner's office, was not a good one. My son's fiancée and I were shocked at the viewing of my son's body before the cremation because he looked amazing! I have attended many funerals in my life where the deceased looked very unnatural and waxy but my son looked very natural and peaceful, just like he was sleeping. Sam dressed my son in a shirt that he would have actually chosen for himself. The viewing of my son's body gave me and my son's fiancée a sense of peace and closure knowing my son is in a better place. I would defiantly refer St. Louis Cremation to my friends and family.
