The reception staff are very friendly and always efficient and can book you an appointment from as early as 7.00am right through until 10.45pm at night, during weekdays. On the weekend they are open from 8.00am until 10.00pm. The convenience of public transport is only metres from the main entrance. The super clinic also bulk bills. If they do happen to have none available at the time, the clinic is happy for you to come in at any point during the day for a walk in. I received treatment for a throat infection the first time in a spacious suite (leather couch included) with a young, friendly doctor who unfortunately did not like Melbourne, so has moved back home to the Gold Coast since. So the second (and sadly third visits) involved some severe acne breakouts on the face (thanks to the corporate world at the time) and the older doctor had classical music in the background, and made barely (if any) eye contact with myself; although thankfully the consultation was short, sharp and sweet; although the nurse who took my bloods on this occasion was excellent. Walk ins are risky, and when this clinic gets flat out busy (most if not nearly all of the time); you would be best advised to not waste a tram ride and ring ahead to literally avoid disappointment; to the point where I took a sickie in my last weeks in the corporate world (blessed be to God that I am now a freelance writer and working for myself) and rocked up to the clinic to only be turned away as the appointment book was fully booked out. Visiting from Sydney & urgently needing a doctor I had to leave the office I'd flown down to work at, in the hopes of seeing a doctor. Appointments were all booked out so I patiently waited while person after person got called in ahead of me. I overheard a walk-in who came after me discussing getting bumped up the queue and you can imagine how pissed I was after an hour & a half wait with only one walk-in ahead of me when he was called before me and I had to wait another hour. This GP clinic reminds me of some weird disco strip joint with it's purple walls and gold glittery doors. I seriously expect that when I hear my name being called I'll look up to see a doctor resplendent in white flairs and a gigantic Afro hair style. Some of the Doctors here are polite and efficient, however I've had one who looked more like a Gray St Pro more than a professional "pathologist practicing as GP" as she put it, who tried to send me to a hypnotherapist for a series of panick attacks. The reception staff are down right nasty. They have no customer or phone manners whatsoever, and it is really off putting. They really need a customer service review, or some training. Or maybe if they woild hire some friendly staff who are actually greatfull to have a job, and don't hate humanity. Although I could say the same for most retial staff in the general area. I would recommend this place as a bulk bill option if you need a medical certificate, but nothing more serious, as the front desk certainty don't help with illness anxiety. read more

I wouldn't go here again, especially if my life depended on it. I made an appointment as I had a woman's issue that I needed to see a doctor about. There wasn't any women doctors so I had to see a male doctor. I'm 22 so I haven't had many examinations before and I was pretty nervous. The doctor that I saw didn't even try to make me feel comfortable, in fact his attitude made it worse. It was almost like I was bothering him from his Saturday afternoon. I have never been treated like that by a doctor, especially when I was clearly nervous about the examination. He then went on to 'prescribe' me an over the counter solution. (5 days later I went to a proper doctor and was given a prescription for tablets. The proper doctor said that it was stupid to give me an over the counter medication) He also wanted me to have blood tests, so I went to the 'nurse' at the clinic at the same time. She said my veins were hard to find. She first tried to get some blood and couldn't so she stopped there and tried another spot. This time it was very painful, it was almost like she was digging around. She didn't get any blood but must have hit something as once she took the needle out there was blood flowing (not dripping) down my arm. She had to clean up some blood. She then said, that she couldn't get any blood so go to the pathology center another day. (When I did go to that center they had no problem getting my blood at all.) By now I couldn't get out of there soon enough. Between the doctor and the nurse, I will never go back there again, and I would advise girls not go there either. There are far better doctors you can go to who will treat you with respect and help you. I'm really not sure how the call themselves a 'super clinic' more like a 'very bad clinic'. read more

This clinic is absolutely hopeless. The staff is rude and ill organised, the doctors even more so. They refuse to examine patients properly, dismissing everything to get patients out the door faster. Necessary medication for mental illness has been refused, even when the patient is in their records as needing it. If something hurts, they immediately treat you like a drug seeker, dismissing symptoms. Even if you make an appointment, they will treat you with disregard. They also do not stick to opening hours, which say "open until 11pm". The constant rotation of doctors coming and going often means you can't get a rapport with them, and they often have little clue about your medical history despite it being in the computer. The only thing good about this clinic is it bulk bills. But given the lack of medical care, you're better off asking strangers on the internet about your medical problems. read more

This is an excellent medical clinic. We use it as a back-up for our regular GP service, and over the past few years there have been a number of times when that service has been closed for holidays or is not accessible immediately, and each time the St. Kilda SuperClinic has provided quick, no-nonsense, outstandingly competent and friendly care. My wife had a suspicious mole removed there, with much less fuss than our regular GP would have required; their referral was to a leading plastic surgeon who did the job as same-day surgery, a person whom my wife's regular GP had coincidentally studied under and conceded was the best available. Follow-up sessions with the St.Kilda doctor were excellent, and she had a mole-map done by them at the clinic so that we can keep track of possible skin problems into the future. We have had other occasions to use them, most recently just a week ago for a sudden case of prostatitus (during the Winter Vacation period when most medical clinics are closed), and always they provide expert service and advice. I like and trust the friendly doctor whom I have by chance been assigned to twice, and can now ask for him when making appointments. But the other doctors I have seen over the past few years have all been personable and very able. The bulk-billing can amount to a major savings over time, and in fact we are tempted to make it our standard GP service -- I am sure we would be happy with it. Still, we like and have come to know and be most comfortable with the GPs we have been with for many years even if they charge more. And the St. Kilda clinic takes about 20 minutes of driving to get to it, whereas our regular GP is just five minutes off. So I think we will continue to use this clinic as a back-up resource that is great to have available. I can unreservedly recommend this clinic. read more

My experience was wonderful. Holidaying from interstate and needing a GP on Easter Sunday..what are the chances! . My hotel concierge recommended going to Vincent Hospital as didn't think I would find a Dr open but looked in newspaper and saw several places but no idea where they were and what would be like. Took a chance on this "bulk billing super clinic "' and managed to get appointment in couple of hours. Visions of seedy grotto with overcrowded waiting room and grumpy Drs...on the contrary. Very cheerful helpful reception staff, only 3 other patients, glamorous premises, and extremely friendly efficient Dr, cracking jokes about Collingwood supporters....gotta love that! read more
