St Josepths church in Carrickmacross is the largest curch in the town and is the heart of the Catholic community. It has Ireland's third tallest church spire in the country. If you do visit look out for the famous Irish artist Harry Clarke's beautiful stained glass windows, and his use of wonderful blues and reds in the glass. The church is popular for weddings and all other religious occasions so if you're passing throught the town it is certainly worth a visit. read more
