St. Joseph's is quite a large church and parish, and is always fairly packed for Sunday Mass. The sermon's don't feel like they're eons long, and the choir is always pretty fantastic. They also have masses and programs that focus on child, youth, and senior faith. They also hold different events and services, including those in support of social justice for marginalized individuals, and even have their banquet halls, spaces, and rooms for rent.
What I really love and appreciate about St. Joe's is it's more open, liberal stance, versus strict Catholics. Women are more prominent in mass participation and service than in other churches, and even have a St. Joe's Women Centre for homeless and less-fortunate women. As far as I know, they are also actually supportive of gay rights. read more
