This place was selling it for this price for a while, but then jacked it up to over $32. I can buy online for cheaper, so that's what I am doing, but I would prefer to buy locally and support local business where possible. Anyway, the whole sale price has not increased online so I don't know why these guys are selling it for so much. That aside, there is a GP in the back of the shop, which is really handy if you need to see someone about a minor ailment and then you are straight in the pharmacy to fill the prescription. I found the prices here to be the closest to what I was used to paying in the US, meaning lower prices than other chemists. The workers were very kind to help me find body soap, which was hard to find on my own amongst the unorganized aisles and disorienting multicolored discount tags. Still, I'd come here to save money on my pharmaceutical needs.

You can pick among Original, Lemon Myrtle, Coconuts and Argan Oil. My favourites are Original and Argan Oil. Goat Milk is the main ingredient so that it's very friendly for the sensitive skin. Other than this item, I will get contact lenses saline, Vitamin supplements and e.t.c. There are two shops in just one block around my place, so if I cannot find the item I can go to the other shop. They accept credit card and all workers are very helpful and friendly.

I fell to my knees and cried "Sanctuary!" before realising that only applies to churches and asking the guy behind the counter to help me. Far from shying away in horror at my ravaged countenance he politely and calmly informed me of all my options, explained the difference between certain drugs, took a stab at the oft-cynical and greedy nature of the pharmaceutical industry and sent me on my way with a pocket of over-the-counter drugs designed to help get me back on my feet. One particularly charming lady who works here once allowed me to purchase a tester aftershave for a fraction of the retail price because they were out of stock. Woot! A rare concession and not one that is to be repeated no doubt but it demonstrates the kind of service that independents can give. To counter that though I had a particularly frosty encounter with a Pharmacy assistant there who told me it was impossible to collect a prescription if I hadn't registered my Medicare details. I challenged her assertion and found a sister-in-arms in her colleague who agreed that it wasn't necessary to provide the Medicare card. She begrudgingly completed my transaction but it's made me less inclined to go there again. Unless for the testers of course!

The Pharmacy is a clean, new and well located Pharmacy, halfway between Leichhardt's famous Norton Street and Leichhardt's biggest shopping centre, Marketplace. Its proximity to the popular bus stop near Elswick Street ensures it receives plenty of foot traffic and the fact that it is situated diagonally across from a doctors office, can't be bad for business either.
