Great stuff and a wide array of options. Hope they get Beatboxs new green apple flavor sometime soon!

The place is great. They really try and keep their selection fresh and rotate brands often. You can't beat it.

I've been coming to this beautiful new store in Stony Brook Village for the past few months and…read morenever had the time to write a Yelp review. If you think this is a traditional "Liquor store" with boxes and cases everywhere, erase all that nonsense in your mind. This place was built from the heart, you can tell a labor of love was put into the details. From the moment you walk into this warm and inviting establishment, you'll notice the wooden wine racks based on wine regions. The owner, Christos? (I thought he was Greek. I think everyone is Greek) anyhoo today we started BS'ing about wine and how I liked a Lebanese wines. He says, No problem my friend. I recommend you try THIS bottle, from Spain. Well looky looky, someone who is passionate about what they do. I love it! Not only do they sell organic and low volume wines, they also have a great selection of fine spirits. Armagnac, Eaux de vie as well as Sakes. Support a local business, I also took their discount card and added to my key chain. Come here over the weekend for a wine tasting!

The owner may know a lot about wine (from what I hear) but he knows nothing about Norma human interaction and customer service. This is not a misinformed, one off interaction that I'm basing my opinion on. I've been to this place several times and have had the same terrible experience each time. If it walks like an ass, and talks like an ass...you can guess the rest. I recommend Mora's Fine Wine in Setauket. Much smaller wine store but the owner Rich and employee Adam are wonderful and welcoming. They actually take the time to chat and find out what may be a good bottle for you/occasion. They have a good wine selection (different grape varieties at various price points) as well as great whisky selection.

I don't know how I stumbled on Mora's--they aren't anywhere near me--I'm just outside of Washington DC--but Rich Mora and his colleague couldn't have been more helpful or attentive. Everything worked so smoothly. I mailed them the cards and sent them the addresses. They suggested some wines along the lines I was hoping to encounter, shipped them out and followed up with just the receipts I needed. Then I asked them to arrange for a delivery to a family member who had recently gotten married. Again--flawless and hassle-free.

Because of your high ratings, it convinced me to try this little place out over some of the other options and you weren't wrong! Facing one of the busier streets here in the city, Mora's seems pretty unassuming on the outside. I parked in the back back behind the bank parking spaces and walked myself over. I was looking to pick up a couple bottles of wine. I didn't expect much as often times these small town businesses don't carry what I'm looking for. I headed back to the store where they had the champagne (it was new years after all) and I wasn't disappointed! Some of the most famous French champagnes were back there so I was encouraged. I decided to explore their red section. Even though their French reds were all contained to a single shelf, they had some of the famous French chateaus many of which I have only seen in Paris. For example, the Rhone region of Chateauneuf du pape... they have a few bottles there! Fantastic wine and loved it. Of course they had beautiful examples of Washington and California wines as well. Their service was friendly and prices decent (not the best I've seen but good enough!). Grateful that they were as it worked out well for the gifts that I bought friends and family. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area!
