I purchased a $15 bottle of wine and an 8-pack of High Noon, which was priced at $19. I paid, and when getting into my car, I realized I was overcharged. They charged me $48 for those two items, so I went back into the store and informed the man at the register, who insisted I must be wrong, and that he would change the label, without even getting out from behind the counter to ensure he was correct. He refused to budge, insinuating that I was wrong. I asked for the manager who finally agreed with me, and the man working the register handed me over the money owed, without as much as a "sorry". Very disappointing.

I like Grey Goose on ice with a twist so I never pay attention to the silly commercials. I stop in because I need a sweet Vermouth, I'd also like to buy a bottle of this trendy Vodka. The store is empty and the gentleman behind the counter points me to the sweet Vermouth and then the Vodka choices. I grab a Pinnacle Whipped Vodka and ask him what the heck do you do with this stuff?? I see he has a Mac so he looks online, I see some mixed recipes on the screen. He then prints out the list??? That's just nice customer service folks. Nice French wines I see in the back, I always dug this place. They've been in business since I lived in the area, so 20+ years!

After browsing for a few minutes I realized that they carry both expensive and inexpensive wine. Yay. There is also a short flavor description next to each bottle to help you choose. The owner was very friendly and lively, and he seems like he really knows what he is talking about (I wouldn't know the difference, though...). While I was browsing a woman came in and told the owner she wanted a red wine, not too sweet, bold flavor, around $35. He immediately got up to assist her and after some conversation asked if it was okay to get a less expensive wine because he thought it would be exactly what she likes. He chose a $20 bottle for her and that is what she purchased. In no way whatsoever did he pressure her (or me) into purchasing anything expensive and he didn't scoff at the low price point. I ended up buying this Rosso for about $11. Very happy with my experience here and I'll definitely be back. It's a very pleasant place to shop.

I headed back to the store where they had the champagne (it was new years after all) and I wasn't disappointed! Some of the most famous French champagnes were back there so I was encouraged. I decided to explore their red section. Even though their French reds were all contained to a single shelf, they had some of the famous French chateaus many of which I have only seen in Paris. For example, the Rhone region of Chateauneuf du pape... they have a few bottles there! Fantastic wine and loved it. Of course they had beautiful examples of Washington and California wines as well. Their service was friendly and prices decent (not the best I've seen but good enough!). Grateful that they were as it worked out well for the gifts that I bought friends and family.
