    We've been attending Parkcrest for 5 years now. It's a great place for kids and for teens. The kids…read moreprogram is fun, and the leaders are warm and compassionate with the littles and fun and engaging with older kids. The youth pastor is fantastic with his ability to connect with teens, speak into their lives, and make them excited about attending. The sermons do not hold your hand and coddle you; they are sermons that challenge you to reconsider your perspective and your faith journey. There are times I've felt uncomfortable by the lessons, but that's good. I want to be challenged. I want to grow. Sermons are topic-based rather than book based, but they are fully reliant on scripture as the basis of each sermons. Communion is practiced nearly every week. The worship team is fantastic. There is outside seating as well as inside. I also appreciate that they focus on ministry partners rather than trying to do everything themselves. They have partners with local, national, and international mission projects, and their special Christmas giving is focused on supporting those partners rather than the church itself. There are optional fundraisers throughout the year to help support the local ministries, some of which require no funds at all - you can volunteer time or even write cards of encouragement. I will say it can be hard to meet people there if you're an introvert, but that's that case with most churches. If you join a community group or attend one of the many all-church activities, you'll find yourself getting to know people and will soon feel like Parkcrest is home and the people are family.

I have experienced fellowship and healing at their Celebrate Recovery meetings on Fridays. Their Pastors preach love and obedience to the Lord's will.
