After smashing two of my front teeth out a roller disco in the 80s (no I'm not proud) and after…read moreseveral temporary caps and an eventual agonising gum infection - I decided to get my gnashers sorted out. I chose the Surrenden Dental Practice as Im really lazy and it was right opposite my flat on Surrenden Road. I was lucky really as, if like me, the thought of major dental work makes sweaty and light-headed, the staff here are fantastic and really do put you at ease. I ended up having a bridge/veneer thing done which after several different dentists had told me I'd have no choice than implants (costing £5k plus each and involving surgery) I was pleased when my dentist here offered me the option involving the least amount of pain and expense. A very efficient and friendly service.

Well, I never thought I would be giving a dentist a five star review but this one is fully…read moredeserved. After many years of bad dentists, I feel that I have finally found somebody I can trust. Believe it or not, I first discovered Surrenden dental practice via a Groupon offer. It's a completely private surgery but I'm yet to discover what benefits NHS dentists hold - they still charge a fortune and my experiences have always been bad. Anyway, I went along for a full consultation and set of x-rays. Since then I have had one extraction, one root filling and two crowns! Yes, my teeth were in rather a bad way (due to clumsiness not poor hygiene I must add!) but now they look 100 times better - note to self, remember to put hands down first when falling, don't land on your face again (I've done this twice!) My dentist, Mr Ed O'Toole, is caring and professional. He fully explains everything he is going to to and gives a variety of treatment options dependent on budget. Best of all, he manages to do virtually all his treatments without causing me any pain - I know, its a miracle!! If anyone is looking for a dentist in the local area I can't recommend them enough.

After 10 years with MK Dental for me looks like is time to leave. Very disappointed with service!…read more Booked appointment with my favourite dentist but then I arrived I got another dentist. So I complained then I got finally appointment with my favourite dentist but need to wait again a week or couple weeks. Today I was very disappointed again. I cleaned my teeth 2-3 months ago and dentist said I need to comeback after 3 months to do my teeth cleaning again to keep nice and clean my teeth so they said they can book me and I need to pay deposit for appointment which one will happen after 2-3 months time! I don't want to do that, to make appointment and to pay deposit because I have no idea what's happen with me after 2-3 months in my life but dentist said: you don't need to worry, just give a call and we will move your appointment to another day or month. So sound was like it's everything so easy and just give to them deposit and everybody will be happy. I did pay deposit and after 2-3 months I forgot I have appointment because I booked that appointment 2-3 months ago so but then should be reminder about customer appointments which should be send to customers before 24 hours customer's appointment. So I got remainder by email about my appointment before 23 hours and 57 min ( so that less then 24 hours for customer to call to dentist and arrange another appointment day ) and SMS on the phone appointment reminder less then 22 hours before my appointment. So because I can't make it to my appointment day because my work so I called them 7 hours before my appointment and they said if I want to move my appointment day I need to pay another deposit for new appointment and will going to loose my old appointment which one I paid 2-3 months ago. I said how I can remember I booked my appointment 2-3 months ago and I received your appointment reminders less then 24 hours before my appointment! Girls from reception said to me on the phone: this is your responsibility to know your appointment times! Write down on your calendar! I was chocked with that respond. After 10 years with them how they treated me when I was trying to reschedule my appointment! Very very disappointed! I knew it that can happen when I paid my deposit 2-3 months ago for teeth cleaning so I was not ready to make payment but dentist said I don't need to worry. Everything is fine and easy. So looks like they just need my money and they don't care if customer working night shifts and maybe can't read emails or SMS because daytime customer in bed. Just show me your money! That what they need!
