Currently, we have a 5th grader and 1st grader attending St. Edward's school. The assigned public schools near our residence are not ideal so when it was time for our oldest child to start Kindergarten we decided to research into a good private school. My wife and I have been parishioners of St. Edward's for a long time and we were both married and had our eldest child baptized thru the church. Given our history, the decision to apply our kids to St. Edwards was easy. The parents and teachers genuinely care about each other. Friends, family and co-workers are always surprised and complimented us on what our kids are learning. Any issues that may arise get communicated and resolved in a timely fashion. We have also made many great friendships with other parents. This is a great school and I highly recommend considering it as an alternative to public schooling.

This is a great school, everyone is friendly and everyone gets along like a big family. My daughter has been in the school for 3 years, she really enjoys the learning experience here. The school stuff and PTG are great, they definitely spent a lot of time thinking how to improve the education quality and how to keep the kids safe, which now days is absolutely the most important thing. Two big thumbs up!

My son Wrishik started when he was just 2.5 years old in preschool, joining about a month after the school year had already begun. Naturally, the transition was a bit tough at first--he resisted going to school for the first couple of weeks--but once he got there, he quickly began to enjoy it. A huge part of that is thanks to his incredible teachers: Ms. Sipra, Ms. Vaishali, and Ms. Pam. Ms. Sipra was truly exceptional. She is kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond to make Wrishik feel safe and comfortable. She would sit by him during his transition days even during naptime to make sure he didn't wake up feeling anxious. She even spoke to him in our mother tongue, which made a world of difference. She handled his early potty-training accidents with so much patience and care--it really showed how deeply she understood and supported young children. Ms. Pam connected with Wrishik in such a joyful and playful way. She made him feel special every day--using affectionate nicknames, playing with him, and gently encouraging him to finish his lunch. Her warmth and attentiveness made school feel like a second home for him. Ms. Vaishali joined midway through the year, but quickly built a beautiful bond with him. He absolutely adores her (or "Ms. Shaily," as he calls her!)--to the point where he wants to give her all his stickers. That kind of affection says everything about the connection she created with him. One thing we especially appreciated was the school's consistent communication. We received regular--often daily--updates about his meals, naptime, and overall behavior. As an active and curious toddler, Wrishik sometimes found himself in the occasional tricky situation with other kids, but his teachers always handled it with such care. They approached everything constructively and shared feedback in a positive, supportive way, which we truly valued as parents. We also want to thank Ms. Maricela for making Spanish lessons so engaging, Mr. Dmitri for his wonderful music classes, and Ms. Shweta for sparking his curiosity and love for science through fun experiments. The spring and winter concert performances, in particular, left us in awe--they were such a joy to watch and a testament to the effort the teachers put into nurturing the children's talents and confidence. The growth we've seen in Wrishik has been incredible. He's gone from giving one-word responses to speaking in full sentences and expressing his opinions. He's become much more social, confident, and genuinely excited about learning--whether it's science, music, or Spanish. Overall, I truly couldn't have asked for a better partner in parenting. We are so grateful to the entire team at Stratford for nurturing, guiding, and loving our son the way they did. We would love to see him continue to grow here.

He started at the school in preschool, and from the very beginning, his teachers made him feel loved, safe, and supported. Miss Sipra, Miss Poonam, and Miss Vaishali were incredibly loving and kind during his preschool years. They showered him with affection and care, making every transition smooth and comfortable for him. What stood out most was how personally invested they were in his growth -- they truly understood his individual needs and helped him develop with patience, encouragement, and warmth. As he moved into Pre-K, we were equally fortunate to have Miss Sandhya and Miss Keiani guiding him. They created a nurturing environment while also helping him learn the importance of boundaries, structure, and kindness. Under their guidance, we saw our son grow leaps and bounds -- academically, emotionally, and socially. Miss Sandhya's knowledge, patience, and years of experience truly shine through in the way she teaches and connects with children. Along with Miss Keiani's warmth and encouragement, they made a wonderful team that helped our son feel confident, supported, and excited to learn every day. We will always be thankful for the positive impact these amazing teachers had on our son's early years. Their dedication, compassion, and care mean so much to our family, and we highly recommend them to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.

I have at least half a dozen moments, where I tried to say hello or ask how my son is doing, each time its the same snarl on her face. Never, ever have I seen this lady smile and the school year is almost over. I must say this, every parent thinks there kid is an angel. Some of us refuse to see the real truth. I will be the first to say that my child is not a angel, nor is he a trouble maker. I will never say that my child or my kids are perfect, because I know deep in my heart that they are kids, and kids act up, so I know they are not perfect, but I do believe my kids are good kids. So when I see kids act up in his class, I know my kid is not the trouble maker. So when I got a letter sent home, saying that they are having a problem with him, I couldn't believe it. I even spoke with some of the volunteer parents that help out, they have even stated that my son is no where near what his teacher has made him out to be. I'm going to go with this lady has a problem, and I'm not sure what it is? I just hope that my son is not her problem. I would hate to have that be the truth, and again, I hope its not. I have another daughter who will be joining this school in the next year or so, I'm going to have to make sure that her teacher is not this lady. I don't think I can deal with this one again.

Everyday it felt like I was drowning. Looking back, that period of my life was when I first started developing severe anxiety and depression. I was naturally a shy kid but the environment at the school made things significantly worse. I experienced ongoing bullying throughout my time there...not only from classmates but also from teachers and even the school principal (Tricia Meyer) It created an atmosphere where I constantly felt unsafe, unsupported, and isolated. The only reason I remained at the school for so long was because my parents were hesitant to transfer me. By the time they fully understood how serious the situation was, I only had two years left of high school, so I stayed until graduation. Even now, I could write pages about the experiences and the people who contributed to the bullying I endured during those years. From an academic and developmental standpoint, I also do not feel the school prepared me well for life after graduation. When I entered college, I realized how unprepared I was socially and academically compared to peers from other schools. The environment at FCS felt extremely conservative and insulated, almost like living in a bubble. It wasn't until I graduated and left that environment that I felt like I could finally start living my life and growing as a person. One additional observation: the business manager who responds to reviews on Yelp, was actually a student in my class. Given the culture and bullying that existed during our time at the school, it feels somewhat hypocritical to see someone from that same environment representing the school without acknowledging the issues that many of us experienced. Everyone's experience will be different, but based on my time there, I personally would not recommend this school.

I feel that my child (6th grade) is getting really good education at almost half of the tuition that some other private schools charge. And the tuition ($1450) covers staying there all day long, i.e. till 5:30pm. Some other private schools charge more but are open till 3:00 only. I personally think it's quite affordable especially considering the fact that even in public schools I was paying around $600 for after school day care and then to supplement the public school education, I was sending my kid to Kumon, another $300. But the quality of education here is so much better than Kumon, the kids are learning things above their normal grade level. All the teachers are really caring and hard-working. The English teacher Ms Sandya works tirelessly and creates custom lessons based on children's level and is really prepping them for future SATs/college essays, etc. The school also has no screen policy except for the computer class which has really been a blessing as doing that is bringing back children's focus in today's screen slaver world. The class sizes are really small right now (less than 5 kids in most classes) but even then my child is really happy going there. So overall we are very satisfied and love the new school.
