It's always interesting visiting parishes in small towns. I'm always so shocked that small churches are a thing.
In Louisville, we've got small churches, but bigger ones are more on my radar.
Anyway, I came here for a wedding. It's a nice space! It felt open. It didn't feel super historical, but still kinda old school with the hard to pull down/ push up kneeling benches.
No lobby here. It made for an awkward experience as I stood with the rest of the bridal party and groomsmen in a tight little area where the guests had to enter.
It's my friend's family's home parish though. They know the priest and all that.
Kentucky isn't known for having a large population of Catholics (or rather, the South). My friend told me that this is one of the few in the area.
The parking lots is small, but I will add that they do have a good number of disability parking spots. Like a lot!
There's another lot a bit past the main lot, which would catch the overflow. It's near the parish offices.
Anyway, it's tucked away in a random area of town. I don't know Radcliff very well, so it seemed like an odd location.
Overall, loved it though! The air conditioning was great in here for a warm day! read more
