One day I was driving along and saw a sign out front saying "free meal on Tuesday and Friday 11:30…read moreto 1:00". I had 1/2 hour to spare so I thought to myself that I could use lunch at this time. I entered the hall and was greeted very welcoming and with kindness and willingness to serve. The volunteers couldn't be nicer. The food did not look appealing to me so I had a bowl of fruit (not fresh). I observed the goings on and became inquisitive (as I always do). It was he end of the serving of the meals and then I noticed the pantry offerings. They gave me bread and basil with roots in a container which I could plant and a bag of clothes which were ratty tatty and perfumy smelling . It was near to the end. I thought I will go one more time tothis church and gather food for a person that cannot get out and has little coinage for extra food. I went back on Thursday and sloppy joes type meal was being offered. I don't really eat much meat and couldn't really tell exactly what was served. I had a number but it was too high to really have a choice selection. I did get a few things though. It seems that they have a large supply of bread. I saw people those wheeled folding shopping carts over flowing with food items and such but there was still fruit and vegetables for me to make salsa and boxes of cheese left brhind. A lady across the table said I have to come at 7:30. Thats the only way for "selection" Well, she was right. My bag filled up that I could barely handle it. It was like trick or treat. I arrived home and started dividing up the food for three people. As I started doing so and checking expiration dates my heart was saddened. Food had expired over a few days, over a few weeks, and over the month, ssome smelled rancid, and started molding. I was left with a small handful of edible items. Now I didn't want to react at all but I ask the question.....what to make of this. You decide and let me know. I couldnt slam them because I know it is well intentioned.....after all, I just don't need to take any of it at all......my choice . God bless you and the food he provides.

Calvary Chapel has always been a Bible teaching Christian church with no denominational ties. The…read moreBible teaches main thing; God is love. God is just. We are born into sin and each of us sadly is condemned to Hell because no sin whatsoever is allowed in God's perfect righteousness. But God has made a complete absolute totally FREE way to be instantly delivered from hell and to be born again to live in heaven with him. Simply ask Jesus to save your soul, believe that he went to the cross and completely paid for your sins, simply accept him as God and Lord and savior, you speak this by simple faith, there is no other work needed. They have great worship and the pastor simply reads through the Bible and depends on God himself through His Holy Spirit to speak to each person. If you want to know the truth about Jesus, about God loving you so much that he put his own son on the cross to pay for our sins... That it is absolutely true you have only to ask in faith, to pray to God believing he is real and will answer you... My witness is that I went through the same thing, even with fear speaking at that moment, not knowing for sure what would happen. Most other Born again believers will tell you similar stories, but each person is unique and how they met God for the first time. Though I was feeling fear and struggling, I spoke with my mouth and believed with my heart in truth... And amazingly Jesus came into my heart by his holy spirit, he bonded with my soul and I was born into the kingdom of God. That's why Jesus said you must be born again. We are born into this world, into this dimension of existence. And to go to heaven we must be born into God's dimension of existence. It is simply like having dual citizenship in one country and in another. It is that simple fact and it is real. You cannot get into another country without a passport. God has required accepting Jesus as your lord and savior as your passport. He is the only way you will get to heaven. And God offers this passport absolutely free, zero work on your part except to put your faith in Jesus and ask him to save your soul. God offers the completely FREE GIFT of eternal salvation to live in heaven with God forever (and immediate deliverance from hell and eternal separation from God). No matter how you feel if you read this, scared, full of doubt even, confused, it doesn't matter emotionally from God's perspective. If you speak out loud, you talk to God believing that he is real and that he hears you, you tell him that you accept that Jesus paid for all your sins because you can't do it yourself, you ask him to save your soul, and to give you eternal life with him... And if you mean what you say from your heart, it will happen and God will reveal himself to you, you will start a relationship with him. It's the same as meeting anyone else for the first time. But with God, you will be with him forever, he lives in eternity. And your soul and relationship with him will never end, ever.

My husband and I are from out of town and decided to visit this church; because our family goes there too. While the church is independent fundamental baptist, this church seemingly teaches the Bible from the truth. My husband even had a question to ask the Pastor after the service; and the Pastor didn't dismiss him like previous churches had done in the past, but rather explained to my husband how he came up with a specific part in his sermon on Sunday morning. They also have a small Chinese section upstairs, where a gentleman from the church translates the Pastor's message for those who cannot speak English too well.
