Don't you ever feel like a good Pad Thai after a long drive? Well, I do. Especially if the Pad Thai is cooked well. So after hours and hours of visiting wineries in Hawkes Bay recently. I was fully wasted, or perhaps exhausted would been a better choice of word. So I took out my trusty iPhone and googled for food options. Sadly, there aren't many yelp reviews for the region. I normally wouldn't expect any authentic Asian restaurants in a small town like Napier. When I stepped in the doorway. I saw loads of people waiting to get their meals to go. So I thought maybe this was gonna be a decent place for dinner. I sat down, had a look at the menu. First thing that got my attention was, why the heck do we have to pay so much more in Auckland for the same food?! Omg, the mains were all under 20 bucks! So, I ordered a prawn Pad Thai, a chicken red curry, a entree of deep fried spring rolls. Service was very efficient. I had the food in front of my within 10mins after ordering. The red curry was so tasty, I couldn't think of an Thai restaurant in Auckland that could match it's quality. The aroma of the coconut cream filled my nostrils. It was intoxicating. They use the thin rice noodles instead of the thick ones for their Pad Thai. And that didn't disappoint either. It wasn't greasy, and the noodle was still firm to the bite and not soggy like some places. I am not sure what's happening to me lately. But I kept finding the cheapest thing on the menu to be the tastiest. The entree of deep fried rice rolls. Omg it's like nothing I have tasted before. It's so delicate yet crunchy, the accompanying dipping sauce compliments the subtle flavours beautifully. And all that for 8 bucks, what a steal. If I visit Napier again, I will be sure to eat at Sri Thai again. read more

Based on on prior feedback we ate here last night and had a delicious meal. Started with the spring rolls which were done to perfection (3 is enough between two of you), then I had a prawn red curry and my wife had the crispy pork stir fry. Both excellent tho do remember to specify how you want them cooked (if they don't ask you). Otherwise they will do a default mild and we like it more spicy than that. Finished by sharing the baked ice cream which was also yummy. Not inexpensive (NZ$90 between the two of us) but good service, great food plus 2 beers and 2 wines made it great value. This is just the best god damn place on earth I suggest number 16 it's the best food in the world

So it started off really nicely lmao. The waitress got our order and went away lmao. We were satisfied when we received our appetizers and happily ate it lmao. But after about 1 hour and 24 minutes and 39 seconds, we realized that our order still didn't arrive lmao. Then the waitress came up to us and had the nerve to ask "Are you almost finished?" with only our appetizers on the table lmao. Then of course we said that we were still waiting for our mains lmao. And with a surprised look on her face she had the guts to say "Oh what? You need to finish the appetizers and tell us to start your mains" (something along those lines) lmao. And us being normal people we thought that they started cooking the food after they got the order. But no their process is stupid that we had to tell them beforehand that we wanted the food to come in a bunch lmao. And whats worse is that she didn't tell us that we had an option to get our food separately or together lmao. How are we supposed to know that when every other restaurant actually cooks food for us instead of going through this unnecessary process? lmao. Also the waitress told us to "Wait about 25 minutes because there are 5 groups before your order" lmao. Which is ridiculous because we came before all of them lmao. What makes them a higher priority than us lmao? The waitress also charged us for the appetizers trying to force us to eat it lmao. And to top it all off (even though it's bad enough) the waitress had a very "b****y" attitude and didn't even apologize for not informing us about that stupid process that *note* NO ONE ELSE USES. We were very pissed off and decided to go to McDonald's (Best restaurant ever 10/10 IGN) which was far better than this because they actually serve us food uno (good game).
