I'm so in love with Squeeze. Every massage is customizable and you have the ability to have "settings" for your session. How dark would you like the room? What temp would you like the room?? What kind of Music would you like to listen to? It's pretty amazing. I have been a Member since before the world shut down and as much as I miss the amenities that were offered before, it is in no way a game changer. The staff is TOP NOTCH and I ALWAYS feel better when I visit. I look forward to every appointment. I would suggest the membership. It's truly the best way to go! I left a five star review for squeeze when they first opened and now I feel very differently. I have only found one therapist at squeeze that I really like but bc he is good he books out in advance. (Only liking one therapist is a comment in itself). It's hard to search for days he's avail or if he has a cancellation without searching each individual day. You can't join a waitlist for cancellations you just have to stalk the app in the hopes you might catch a cancellation. The Membership model is flawed too bc if you pause and you have banked massages they will not honor the member rate you purchased them at. They reach out often to adjust the time of your appt or to see if you can be with someone else. I always uncheck the "I can be with another therapist" box but they ask anyway. It's just annoying. I still like the model of choosing your own music etc and it's clean but the actual experience as a repeat, consistent client is getting quite annoying. read more

I absolutely love Squeeze. The moment you walk in, you feel at peace. You're taken to a quiet waiting area where you can have fresh water, and you're shown some scents from which you can choose your favorite. But you're there for a massage, and obviously that's the most heavenly part of the experience. Mary was my massage therapist, and she was perfect! But let me take a detour, in case you haven't read what Squeeze is all about. It begins with the Squeeze app on your phone. You can search by date or therapist. Then you decide if you want to buy a membership or a single "Squeeze". If you go with the membership, you get one massage a month and it's cheaper than if you choose a one-off. After that, you get to choose other items. You let the app know how deep you like your massage, whether you prefer lotion or oils, if you have problem areas or places you'd like the therapist to focus on, how long a massage you'd like (20, 50, or 80 minutes), etc. it's great. Back to the actual massage. When Mary took me into the room, she showed me that I could control the lighting and I could also select music from some premade playlists (I chose Zen). Then, she stepped out while I got comfortable on the massage table. There's a button you press just under the table to let the therapist know you're ready. It's all extremely professional. Mary's massage was incredible. She could tell where my problem areas were, even though I didn't specify any areas on the app. She was amazingly intuitive. The 80 minutes flew by, and let's just say I felt 100% better, almost like I was walking on clouds, when I was walking to my car. I had to go straight to work, and I didn't even care. Work was a dream that night. So yes, I recommend Squeeze, and while I'm sure the other therapists are good, I highly recommend you choose Mary. read more

Squeeze has now become my favorite place for a massage. I've been to over a dozen different places in LA alone and grew up with a parent who is a massage therapist so Ive had hundreds of massages in my life ha! Squeeze was so good! First and very important: The space is extremely clean, professional and tranquil. The photos in this yelp look relaxing as is but when you're actually there, the lights are dimmed and the vibe is immaculate! The bathrooms are spotless, and the waiting area is soothing in both the aesthetic as well as the seating. The entire place feels more like a high end hotel spa than it does a straight up massage business. Parking is very convenient in the back alley behind the building. Enter the back door and follow the smiley faces to the check in up front :) My massage therapist, Jamie, was absolutely great! Good vibes, very good with his professionalism and clearly cares about his work. He helped identify stress in my back and neck, and did great stuff for the knots that have been bothering me for months. We talked more than I've ever done in a session which really helped me to not focus on the hellish knots rolling around in my shoulders! He has great bedside manners as well. I've been coming to this location for a couple of years now and have consistently had a great experience! I love how customizable everything is. You can choose the type of music, the scent used for aromatherapy, and the types of add ons you want that day. The app also lets you add important notes, decide which areas you want to focus on or avoid, and even request different levels of pressure for different areas of your body. I love that this information is always available to edit and that the massage therapists always review it before beginning a service. This place is so great! I waited until i had gone here more than once to write my review. This place is so bougie and worth it. You sign up online and fill out a form and you can custom tailor how you want the massage to be, with choice of pressure, massage therapist, etc. You also get a choice of scent/aromatherapy, and I chose lavender because it's calming. There's also custom music choices, i went with soothing spa sounds. When you get in, you're greeted and showed to the relax area. There is a bathroom with drybar products and other amenities. There's tea, spa water, some snacks like almonds and fruit in the relax area. Once your appt starts, your therapist comes and gets you and takes you to the room. There's a charger for your phone and everything looks so clean! The massage i got was so good! The first time the pressure was too hard, but my second was soooooo good, just the right amount. I would definitely recommend this place, just make sure you budget in time to find parking. Let me preface this by saying- be wary of a place that solely has 5 star reviews. After an unimpressive first massage, I gave Squeeze another chance. My therapist, Marlene clearly did not want to perform the massage, I say this because of all the negative energy she was giving off as well as the no effort massage she gave me. I admit I was 10 min late to the session but that still leaves 40 minutes of hands on massage. She performed the same forearm stroke on my back, didn't adjust the foot bolster when she entered the room, and she dropped the head rest in an not so comfortable position so she "can work on my neck", then didn't warn me she was readjusting the headrest back to its normal setting as my head was still in it. My neck felt like it was being crushed which caused me to lift my head up and readjust myself on the table. Once turned over supine she roughly pulled my arms out from under the sheets to work on them, but at no time was she gentle about it. It felt like my arms were getting tugged. Then, she offered to stretch my neck, but instead compressed and pulled my jaw in an attempt to stretch my neck. When I stood up from the table I had an excruciating headache on the left side of my head. I am not someone who ever gets headaches, let alone AFTER a massage. Lastly, she was sniffling for the entire duration of the massage. I am not sure if her being ill and having to work was the cause of her negative attitude and overall lackluster performance. Regardless, I am disappointed with Squeeze and not sure I will be renewing my membership. read more

This place is amazing. Joel and Gus are my favorites. For me, If it's not deep then it isn't a massage. They listen to what I want and are able to give it me. The best massages I've had have come from them. Each massage gets better as I go. I've looked all over The Los Angeles area for a massage that is excellent without costing a million dollars or going to a dive that's leaves me having to chant "remember the price" to get through the experience. So cute! It's very soothing and has high-tech bells and whistles. You get to customize your room's complete vibe by selecting the music and temperature, and aromatherapy is provided free of charge. There is spa water available and when you're done, your masseuse greets you outside with a cup of water and a small cup of grapes, which I thought was so cute. I had a massage last weekend with Julia, who was lovely. The bed is heated and they also use heat packs at no extra charge. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is that, although she did focus on my shoulders and neck as requested, the rest of the massage was not really "firm" as I had requested (it was a very gentle rubdown), and none of the oil was wiped off of me other than my feet. I went with my bf and a few friends and we all left completely slippery in oil, so it would be great if they wiped down their clients a little bit more before releasing us into the wild. Once they fix up those little things, though, I'd love to make this place a regular spot in my rotation. read more

WORST MASSAGE EXPERIENCE EVER! This used to be a great place and now it's just simply awful. I would suggest going anywhere but there. For 1/4 the price you can get a better massage from about 10 different places in a 3 mile radius! I'm fairness, the business plan is great. But based on conversations with several MT, I know they are hiring from the massage school (a MT who works there is also an instructor). $129 for a recent grad? There are maybe 3 great MT's there, the rest: terrible. Since when are clients not allowed to comment on the pressure? The Bio's are a joke. Nothing is true. One MT listed deep tissue as speciality and then said he can't apply pressure do to injury!!!! WHAT??????? 80 minutes of someone applying lotion to my body. And what is this Reiki nonsense? Hovering your hands ABOVE my shoulders?? CREEPY! I counted the minutes until it was over. STAY AWAY! read more

My home away from home. I couldn't possibly love Squeeze more than I do already. Everything about the experience is so well thought out and user friendly - I love that I can pick my own music station, control the dimness of the room, and engage in minimal explanation before the massage, because my preferences are all pre-loaded into my file. The only issue that I have is that I can never get that green "call" button to work correctly the first time, which always ends up shaving a couple of minutes off of my massage time. I've been here a handful of times, and so far my favorite therapists have been (in no particular order) Heather, Levon, and Kristina. I generally prefer a more "therapeutic" deep tissue style massage over something that puts me to sleep, but somehow those three therapists were able to get this stressed out kid to relax, while also working some serious magic to get these knots out. read more

I've been coming to Squeeze for ALL my massages and well I had to finally write a review about this place. I had a massage with Daniel twice now and last night's trip to the shop was beyond epic. I purchased a 120 minute massage, yes you read right 120 minutes. I specifically booked 120 minutes because I'm also a massage therapist & I really needed the bodywork. Daniel spent extra time on my neck, shoulders, and hips since that's where all my tension rest. He always asked if I was doing okay and if he should stay or continue to another part that needed attention. Daniel's style of massage is deep tissue along with energy work which is by far the best kind of massage. When the session was over I literally had to stay and enjoy their lounge area since I was so relaxed and couldn't drive. My other massages I've had was with Gus. Gus was incredible. Gus really took his time and his pressure was on point. Heather was also another one of the amazing therapists that works there, along with Tim. All the therapists there are really amazing in their own ways. If you can book a little longer with one of your favorite therapists I highly recommend it. I could go on and on about all of the incredible and gifted therapists at Squeeze but that would be a novel of a review. Squeeze is like an Oasis on Ventura Blvd, and the beautiful blue color of the building only enhances that vibe. Los Angeles is place where the quantity of massage places is high, but the quality is low. As a resident of Sherman Oaks, I was very curious the first time I noticed Squeeze. As a Certified Canine Massage Therapist, I know the value and healing properties of a good massage and I knew I needed to practice what I preach to all of my clients. So I decided to give Squeeze a try and I am sure glad that I did. My very first massage was so good I became a member immediately! Ever since then, I have been getting a massage here once a week. With my busy schedule, I tend to book around a time and not a specific therapist (although I have a few favorites). What has amazed me about the Squeeze massage experience is that every therapist I have tried has been excellent. You can tell that Squeeze only hires competent and professional massage therapists. Their app is good and you do everything on the app. You can read the bio for each therapist and read their customer reviews. You can then book a session via the app and then add your tip after the session. I can't say enough good things about the Squeeze massage experience, and I am very grateful to live so close to this healing oasis. I like the concept, but maybe it depends on who you see. Everyone was really nice but I'm used to having a pain reduction and feeling relaxed after a massage. That didn't happen here. I'm a power lifter so it takes a bit to work on me. I used to go to a fabulous independent place for therapeutic massage but they went under during the pandemic. :( What I got at squeeze cost the same as them and certainly wasn't worth that. Also no water after. I get that it's covid but in the before times my other place would hand us a bottle of water to go. For this price they need to step that up. I'll probably try another place to see if I can find a MT comparable to my former sports massage person. read more

Decently priced, this entire experience felt like just that: AN EXPERIENCE. From walking in and being shown the different aromatherapies there were to choose from (def. try the Grapefruit!), to being let into my own suite and being shown how to control both the temperature and the music of the room, I felt like every aspect of my time at Squeeze was thought out and done intentionally so I would walk out saying "WOAH!" I've been waiting for squeeze to open for some time now since it's down the street from my work and I can walk there in 5-10 minutes. Finally got the email about booking and their opening date on March 22 and booked right away. I have to say from a graphic designer's point of view - the design, cleanliness, simplicity of the inside of the massage bar is really well-done and very welcoming. The graphic design for the signage on the walls, little pamphlets of information about Squeeze, even the gift cards were simple, charming, and cute. My massage therapist Stephanie was great and got all of my problem areas in the 50 min massage. I loved the room and how you are able to customize the temperature, music, and lighting in your room. In addition, the added features on the app of customizing your massage and letting them know your problem areas before, or where you'd like them to massage more, less, or avoid. You can also let them know of any allergies or recent surgeries, problem areas you've had and also set your preferences such as oil or lotion, heated bed, and heat therapy. The one other aspect I liked was there was a button on the bottom of the bed Stephanie had showed me to press to let them know you are ready after you've finished undressing and getting onto the bed. I'll be coming back here soon, probably after work since it's so close! The only other thing I would like to say was in my promo email they had mentioned was "Visit us opening weekend and snag a swag bag of goodies ($800+ value) from brands we love! While supplies last" - I'm not sure if I had to go this weekend but I came on opening day and kept on seeing people getting swag bags who sat near me in the waiting area but some of us did not, so I was very confused as I had an 11am appointment opening day. read more

I've gone maybe 5-6 times and tried a few different people and some masseuses are great but a couple of times I paid for a massage and left feeling a tad disappointed. It was a great experience. I have literally run the gamete when it comes to massages. I have had them at a massage training school all the way to the fancy pants 5-star hotel spas. What a concept! Squeeze is the next best thing in massage therapy. It's so customizable! You can choose your lighting, music, essential oils, room temperature, pressure, lotion or oil & more! The space is clean, relaxing and amazing. I loved every minute of my 90 minutes with Sarah!! I almost fell asleep. Which never happens. But she knew all the good spots on my shoulders to hit, where I hold my stress. If your familiar with a massage membership, this is the best one yet. F* massage envy!! Great new massage concept! Bright and cheery decor, total customization for one price (i.e. heating, aromatherapy, music, lighting). My massage therapist was Tim and he is amazing! You can pre-select the focus and pressure but he still asked me as we were going along if I wanted more or less, so nice to be able to communicate and they save your preferences for future appointments which is nice. They have a small parking lot in the back otherwise you will have to park on Ventura at the meters. I personally make sure to book early weekend mornings so I don't have to worry about the meters. They have fruit infused water, tea assortment, almonds, and jellybeans. Tim handed me a cup of water and small cup of grapes after my massage. They offer a membership but don't "sell" you on it which is awesome. The location is not convenient enough for me to get a membership...YET! I was recently having a rough time at work and was super stressed out and tense and wanted a massage. I wanted the luxury and tranquility of an upscale spa, but I'm a teacher and can't necessarily drop $200+ on a massage at a moment's notice -- enter Squeeze! The aesthetic, vibe, space, level of customization, etc. feels incredibly luxe, but at a price that I felt was extremely reasonable for the service that I got. My masseuse was Kara and she was AWESOME. I love that I was able to upload my preferences in to my profile and we were able to have a brief chat before the massage about them, and she really went by what we had discussed, perfect pressure and everything! I loved that I could add on aromatherapy and heat treatment without additional charge, choose between oils and lotions, and that I could customize the lighting, music and temperature in the room. Such an cute space! The best part about this place is that you can make a profile online with personal preferences. Once you get there, the staff is friendly and the decor is adorable. The waiting room has tea, snacks, water and perfect lighting to get you ready. You're also able to pick your choice of scent that you'll want for your massage (the lavender oil is my favorite!). I had a 20 minute massage with Caitlyn this morning. She followed my preferences perfectly. Though this place is pricey, the experience is worth the splurge. The only criticism I have is that I booked my appt during their grand opening weekend because of their advertisements for swag bags worth $800. I was really excited for this--but disappointed when I received my bag. I compared what I received to pictures I saw online and was definitely missing most of the items shown online (I got a water bottle, stress ball, It cream, and a free coffee coupon--missing what others got!)! Squeeze is finally open again! I had the first appointment this morning on opening day and the protocols felt very safe. Since you can only enter from the front I parked on the street and waited outside. I had pre signed the new releases digitally. They took my temp and had me wait outside until the room was ready.
