The lightship is currently anchored in Hull Marina.This ship was built in 1927 & was for nearly 50 years used as a navigation aid for approaches from the river Humber.It is a light vessel which means a ship used as a lighthouse.It was stationed at Spurn Point & is now a mueseum.It is open from April to end of September but due to lack of staff it can only be accessed on weekends.Access is free to all but children must be closely supervised,sensible shoes should be worn.There is no access for wheelchairs etc but those able to get onboard can see the decks & how the crew lived & worked.There's a series of exhibits related to the vessel & its history onboard read more
