We were looking for a place in the surroundings of Vicenza to taste some baccalà and we chose La…read moreMarescialla since it is one of the members of "confraternita del baccalà" a group of restaurants dedicated to keeping alive the centuries old tradition of baccalà dishes in the region. Going to La Marescialla we have found out that its cuisine is excellent in its entirety - and of course the baccalà mantecato was fabulous. The risotto with its unusual blending of radicchio, gamberi and gorgonzola is a masterpiece of equilibrium and taste. The desserts were delicious. We had no wine - we had decided it had to be a nonalcoholic day - but the list of wines was very attractive with a lot of interesting proposals: next time!

I was one of the lucky brides to be married at this location (and held the ceremony's banquet here…read moreas well) many years ago. The restaurant has changed a little since 2000, but it's still one of the most romantic event's venues in the area. The food is excellent and the service top notch. We came back 16 years later on our anniversary dinner. The staff was super sweet and so excited to hear that we were back. The staff from 16 years ago is long gone, as they have undergone new ownership since...but they were so happy to hear our story and they made us feel so special. We ate in the downstairs back room, but they let us go upstairs after dinner, to the main ceremony space just to take a look and reminisce about our special day.
