Springtime was engaged by our plumbing company to excavate the water line from the meter to the house in preparation for running a new line. Excavating for a water line is a big job because of the burial depth code requirement. The good: - Two hard-working guys dug an excellent trench fairly quickly, including a tunnel under our foundation. - The same two guys promptly filled in the trench and resodded after the line was inspected by the city. - They spruced up the place from accumulated yard debris after finishing, including much that had nothing to do with the excavation. - One of them came by on his own time on the weekend to check on how we were watering the newly laid sod after the trench was filled in. The not so good: - The plumbers had marked the path along which the new line would run. When Springtime's folks showed up later, they thought differently and trenched a slightly different path. They ended up having to do some extra digging to get back on the path the plumbers wanted. Although this extra work wasn't on us, we ended up with a bigger patch of new sod than we would have. Communication could have been better. The bad: - In the course of digging, two irrigation lines were cut. This is to be expected. Also to be expected is them repairing the lines. One damaged line was left open (not recovered with dirt and sod) in anticipation of someone coming by the next day to do the repair. Didn't happen. Nor the next day or the next. I ended up repairing the line myself. The second break was not even pointed out and was covered over. That break was discovered the next time we activated the irrigation system. We had another irrigation company do the repairs there. All in all, A-OK. The line breaks weren't a big deal and the trenching was done quickly. read more

Jack (and others) from Springtime has been taking care of our house for 15+ years. They are always on time, friendly, and do a fantastic job. They keep up with our sprinkler system (turn on/off and repairs), haul-off yard debris, and other landscaping tasks. I highly recommend using them for any of your landscaping and irrigation needs. Recently, Jack fixed the old section of our sprinkler system, which was a giant task. After a couple of days of hard work, we are up and running with an updated system and we couldn't be happier. These guys are strictly mow and blow. A weed could hit them in the face and they wouldn't pick it up. Many blast music in their headphones and they ignore you. If you ask them to do something that's part of their service, they shrug and say to talk to a manager. My neighbor had a dead bird in her walkway for a year and it was never removed. We do our own pruning and weeding and they blow it back into our bark....PATHETIC. read more

Quick to give me a quote, much appreciated. Did only half the job they bid on and sent me a bill. I called four times and was always told that someone would get back to me by the end of business day or week. I waited, never had a return call. I understand Bend has grown and you are busy but if you do not have time to complete the job we agreed on or the time to call me back....don't bid for the job. read more

The guy made it very clear he was put out by having to drive up to our residence. Was late arriving, bad attitude, blocked driveway and would not move when wife came home. These guys are a joke. So many other companies out there that do this kind of work, and are way more professional. Never doing business again with springtime! read more

We bought a house that has a sprinkler system that was put in by the previous owner; not a professional. The folks at Springtime have been incredibly helpful and responsive to bring our system up to something that functions well. And each time little problems in the old system pop up, they've been quick to handle problems that weren't of their making. Big thumbs up. read more

Called to schedule a back flow test in March, but three months later it had still not been performed and I was being threatened with a fine by the City of Bend so I proceeded to find a different company. Another three months went by before I got a call from Springtime stating they would have someone out in the next week to perform the test to which I very clearly explained that it was supposed to have been completed six months prior and that I no longer needed their service. Nevertheless they proceeded send someone out to perform the test while I was out of town and then sent me a bill in the mail. When I called to discuss the bill the receptionist rudely stated that she would "have to talk to accounting to see if the bill can be reversed," before abruptly hanging up on me. Click. I have used Springtime since moving into our house. They have been prompt, professional and have taken care of our irrigation system. Now that we are moving there was a slight issue with the system that they immediately came over and addressed which will give the new owners a worry free summer. Highly recommended. read more

Became a client in 2016 season for irrigation services. My business was solicited for 2017. Springtime form completed and submitted by deadline. No communications on when service would be completed after two follow up emails. Cancelled request for service this date, letting business know how disappointed I was in their communications with a customer. They let me know that if I need service I should be requesting that NLT November of the previous year and they are overbooked. read more

We used Springtime for 3 seasons for and found them utterly unreliable - the worst experience with a landscaper ever! Our recommendation is don't walk, RUN away. As seasonal residents we depended on them, as we are not able to monitor their performance in real time. This cost us repeatedly. The first season they did not winterize the system, the pipes froze and the next spring we had a big repair bill. We let this one slide after talking to them. The second winter they dropped us entirely w/o telling us. They say they have a policy of requiring new contracts from all clients every year -- they are supposed to contact us for renewal but never did. We straightened this out (we thought). Then last year they turned the system off, and then dropped us again -- it was never turned on in the spring and we had no snow removal in the winter. By the time we returned in summer many plantings had died. Their billing/business side is a total mess. We were billed for services we did not receive, and sometimes not billed at all. They don't remember who you are when you call, takes days to get to the right person when you have a problem, and you get all kinds of excuses about why. They seem not to care much about small customers and almost try to make them go away. We suggest you don't go there in the first place -- there are plenty of other options in Bend. read more
