**Buyer Beware***- SpringHill Suites Boca Raton This hotel is in unacceptable and potentially unsafe condition. There is a strong, persistent smell of smoke throughout the building. The air quality is so poor in certain hallways that your eyes literally burn while walking to your room. There are visible signs of moisture damage and what appears to be mold. Breathing inside this property feels unhealthy. The elevators break down repeatedly and feel unsafe when they are operating. During our stay, they were unreliable and clearly not properly maintained. Fire alarms went off. Hallways were loud, chaotic, and uncontrolled. Cleanliness is a major issue. The rooms are small, worn down, and poorly maintained. This isn't "dated." It's neglected. The entire property feels like it has been allowed to deteriorate without oversight. Management was dismissive when concerns were raised. There was no urgency, no accountability, and no meaningful effort to correct serious issues. We were booked for three nights and left early because staying there felt unsafe and unhealthy. This property does not meet basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance, or safety. If you are traveling to Boca Raton, choose another hotel. read more

Meh, Not the Best SpringHill Experience We stopped at SpringHill Suites Boca Raton for a quick night's rest on our road trip from St. Augustine to the Keys. It's conveniently located right off the highway, and we love their mini kitchens for travel! Unfortunately, the experience left a bit to be desired. The AC didn't cool the room well, the bed wasn't comfortable, the pillows were too small, and the fridge didn't work properly, leaving us to toss out our leftovers. Stayed here for 2 nights as I attended a festival. Check-in was easy and the room was clean. Staff were friendly. Complimentary breakfast was from 7-10a on weekends with basic boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffle maker, muffins, bread, bagels, oatmeal with toppings to chose from, coffee, tea and juice. For the price I paid, it matched the stay! read more

We love staying here. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. It was just renovated and it's nice and clean. The beds are very comfortable. We also love the breakfasts, they have plenty of options and Gregory who works there on the weekends has been great at helping us with anything we ever need. My company put a group of us up in this hotel. Sadly it is not the greatest place to stay. Positives: staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was clean and staff worked hard in the mornings to keep food hot and fresh and clear plates/trash on the tables. Negatives: rooms are very dated. Bed and pillows were terrible and my back was killing me after two nights. The toilet was not sealed to the ground properly so you could rock back and forth and I was nervous the toilet could break. Stains everywhere and some were questionable... maybe blood? Curtain backing was disintegrating so in the mornings when the sun came up there were many little light beams coming through those worn out spots in the curtain. There was also no filtered water dispensers in the building. Not even the workout room which was odd. This hotel really needs some work for $169/night. I would prefer to stay somewhere else in the future. read more

Second time I stayed here and it is definitely a good value but you get what you pay for. This will never be a Marriott level hotel but it is a decent value hotel I had requested a 3 o'clock check in (normal check in is 4pm) and to be notified by text. When 3.45 came around and I hadn't gotten any texts I called the hotel and was told that by the time I got there my room should be ready. This confused me as they had no idea if I was 2 minutes or 2 hours away. I asked if they could give me a time specifically and was on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. I got to the hotel a little after 4 and I realized that there were girls' soccer teams staying there for a tournament. I did get my room right away so that was good. ROOM WAS SUPER CLEAN and no sign of bedbugs I had seen in some concerned reviews. A few things didn't work like the bathroom sink dripped and the cold water didn't work in the kitchen area but nothing that was too bothersome. The soccer girls (and their parents) were SO LOUD in the hallways until after 11pm but not the hotels fault. While you can hear everything in the hallway, the rooms' walls are pretty good for filtering other rooms noises. Our neighbors were playing loud music and I called to the lobby and they were responsive and said they'd call the room about it, which I appreciated it. Would still stay again due to the convenience, the cost, cleanliness, and location. read more

0 /5 stars -- The worst experience I have ever in my life had at a hotel. I fled from hurricane milton to safety was treated so disrespectfully by the front desk woman. She refused to answer my questions, simply was ignoring me - I am truly baffled by this behavior. All I was trying to do was check in , get situated for the next couple days - instead she cancelled my reservation leaving me with no where to go. When trying to call to get understanding she hung up on me and refused to give me her name she then proceeded to ignore any phone call following that. This behavior at Marriott is inexcusable, unacceptable, & simply disgusting. It is a State of Emergency and to cancel a reservation & leaving 2 people stranded is absolutely insane to me. Hopefully this reaches the right people , the staff here is miserable. Highly suggest Marriott taking a closer look at who's been hired here. read more

II stayed one night recently and liked this property. It's the older more traditional format with carpeting, cloth furniture, wooden furnishings, etc. For me this was a good retreat after a night in Fort Lauderdale. I wanted to cocoon with some wine and just watch HGTV. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very wonderful lady at the desk. She was kind and efficient. I think this property has a few undeserved reviews. Keep in mind the date of reviews when you look them over. I think this hotel tries hard! HIGHLIGHTS: - Great location - So much close in. - Parking is ample and free. - Location seems to be in a business park. - Very quiet. - Free coffee and breakfast. - Good beds/bedding (my bed was a bit squeeky). - Wonderful customer service. - Coffee and microwave in room. - Little sitting area with TV. The first room I was given has pee in the toilet from someone before me, it didn't flush, how the bleep did housekeeping not catch this! There was toothpaste on the floor, stains everywhere! I cannot believe this is a Marriott property, I wouldn't stay here if it were free but I am stuck for 4 nights. I am a marriot bonvoy platinum elite member. upon check in we were not offered our welcome gift bag or asked if we wanted the credit or the points. when we went to request late check out we were treated as if we were asking for favors and given only up until 2pm by the same person that checked us in, all the other hotels ask me upon check in and accommodate our 4pm check out with no issues. last night, we were coming back from going out with our daughter, went to get our items from their selection and when we asked for them to do a room charge it became a problem and the same person that checked us in decided to call the cops on us with no reason whatsoever. she said we had been problematic when we were asking for things that are included in our membership. the manager on duty did nothing while this front desk person was rude and nasty to us over things that, again are included with our membership. her name is Latoya, she has had the Night Shift last 2 night. to be completely honest, it's been the worst stay I've had, I got the cops called on me with a 5 year old baby with me who got nervous and started crying. having paid for the night they were ready to kick us out, luckily we were allowed to go back to our room but only after having such an uncomfortable situation to the point where I could not even eat my dinner I had bought to eat with my family. this hotel is not up to par with marriot bonvoy and with all due respect the quality of the front desk here is trash. they have a sign that says they don't take chime card & that's the card I use, she felt like she did us a favor when she could've just said "I can't check you in" & I would've found another hotel, theres plenty options. I was embarrassed in front of other guests unnecessarily & treated horribly. said person does not represent marriot bonvoy. DISGUSTING! I've stayed with Marriott before. One of my kids worked for them, so I know what to expect with the brand. But this was NOT close to their standards. Soon as I walked in it smelled like pet urine and feces. The floor had stains everywhere. It was so bad I didn't dare go barefoot. I've stayed at some rat holes, but this topped them all. The shower/tub had stains, the walls were stained. I'm not saying normal wear and tear. I'm saying someone used this place as a dump/restroom. I found beer bottle caps, hair, and some "stains" I'm not sure how to even explain. So bad that I'm praying the white crap on the floor was cocaine, just so I don't have to think about it might really have been. I asked to switch rooms, but they were "booked". They just mounted bottles to the shower. Then I went to use them and they were just watered down. If I could give negative stars I would. I just can't wait to get home and shower. read more

This SpringHill Suites is an old hotel that was essentially remodeled. Remodeled does not mean everything works perfectly. Sure the elevators are old and take super long, floor to floor. The water takes quite a while to heat up. But the place is clean and the staff is helpful. If you are looking for a 5-star experience, this ain't it. My boyfriend and I stayed at this location for two nights while visiting West Palm Beach. It's a very short drive to the highway which made it easy to access everything we needed and the drive to West Palm was pretty smooth from this location. Plenty of restaurants are a short drive away also. We found the hotel to be very clean and quiet. The pool area is very nice and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The breakfast staff should be commended because everything was always fresh and they were VERY good about keeping everything stocked. We never had to wait for anything. And the front desk even has cookies in the afternoon which was a very nice touch. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because our room was never cleaned. We left in the morning right after breakfast and when we came back around 1:30pm, our room hadn't been touched. We had no clean towels or washcloths. We saw the housekeeping staff in the hallway so we figured they were getting to our room shortly. A staff member walking down the hall gave us some towels and washcloths from the housekeeping cart. We took showers and left again around 2:15pm and did not return to the hotel until after midnight. The room was untouched and we did not have the do not disturb on the door. Not a huge issue and there are enough positives to overlook it, but it would have been nice as we had a bit of trash and dirty towels after our stay. read more

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. I'm here right now with my family and can't wait to get out of here. My son said he thinks someone died in his bed and he may be right. There are stains all over the floor and mattress. The light fixtures are rusted. No USB outlets to be found. Hair in the shower. One towel provided in a room with 2 beds. They do not offer as much in terms of amenities but if you are looking to save some money and still get warm friendly service they are fine. They are easy to find and the staff were really wonderful. This hotel has BED BUGS. We spent two nights and my uncle woke up with welts on his neck and bites all over his body. We told the front desk and they told us it was bug bites from the beach, so we insisted they checked it out. We got a call a couple hours later saying it was bed bugs. So we went back to the room and the sheets were crumpled on the bed with BED BUGS still on the bed. The manager was NOT helpful and it was overall a terrible experience. Plus WORST shower. Ever. If I was writing this review based solely on the staff they'd get a million stars. Every employee that we encountered was friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, everything else is just horrific. From the moment you walk in there are different smells everywhere. It smells like smoke in the lobby, followed by the elevator that smells like it's on fire, proceeded by the cleaning solutions in the hallways and ending with the mold/mildew smell in the room. For someone who sensitive to fragrances, it's a roller coaster ride. I truly think the cleaning solution is to mask the moldy smell. They really need to gut and renovate ASAP. They've put some bandaids on it esthetically but as a family that works in the construction business it needs duct cleaning, HVAC work, new plumbing,etc. What's odd though is I never saw a maid/custodial in the week that we were there. The hallways, elevators and common areas were ALWAYS filthy. I can't really express the need for a complete overhaul. It's just time. The icing on the cake is the train that runs from 6am-11pm um what? It literally shakes the building and it can be loud at times. read more

You come to Boca Raton Florida and you feel the beautiful weather and see the amazing scenery until you come to this dumpster of a hotel. We walk into the room that is in the shape of a triangle and I near vomited by the sight of this filthy barn that I thought would be at least decent. For starts the couch had dust and dirt and stains that have been their since the stone ages and behind were dirt and more stains on the carpet to complement the wrappers that were left. There was dried liquid that was embedded on the side of the cabinet and the counter for the "kitchen" still had leftover food that was easily wipeable. The rugs haven't been changed or even cleaned in at least years, the sheets and curtains had stains and were very dirty. Now let's get to the one of the most disgusting lamps to exist on this planet with crumbs and and drips of things from other people. The bathroom didn't even have a sink in it you had to walk out after taking a massive diarrhea to go wash your hands in a separate area, now you may thing I'm exaggerating but I'm am dead serious when I say the place hasn't been cleaned since before the dinosaurs went extinct. To top it off we clearly weren't the only ones I had a disappointing experience because there was someone else who checked out and said and I quote "never again" and walked out. So unless you would like to know what it's like to live in a pigpen I would never recommend going here. read more

There are 2 Marriott hotels right next to each other; this one, and a TownePlace Suites. I have stayed at both, and my review is similar - either is a good choice - I have no preference (pick the one that gives you the best rate!). I called ahead because I was using points and was going to be a very late check-in. The man answering the phone was very helpful and accommodating; I appreciate that. The room was clean and had a frig and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. It had everything you could possibly need. This hotel has a big free breakfast (the TownePlace next door just has some small breakfast items). Wi-fi is free, as is parking. This hotel is right off I-95 at the Yamato exit. The Tri-Rail train system, that will take you all the way to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, is very close - right across the street. So, if you are looking for good public transportation to the Miami/Ft. Laud. area, this is a good hotel for that. It's just a quick walk to the train station. There is an Einstein Bagel place within walking distance, and a couple other little shops. read more

Springhill Suites is a fairly decent hotel; from my vantage point, I see a number of pros and a number of cons that sum up to create a pretty enjoyable experience. I have to admit, when I first walked into the lobby, the first thing that struck me was not the ambiance, but the smell. And not in a good way -- I don't know what was going on when I checked in, or for the days I stayed there, but it smelled like someone took a dozen bananas, tossed them in a microwave and cooked them until they exploded. The lobby area is pretty big, with a number of tables to sit at during the complimentary breakfast that takes place from 6-9 every morning. A giant television on the far wall will stream the days headlines as you eat and converse with other people staying there. The workout room is a 24 hour facility, but I have to say from what I saw it was pretty dismal. 1 bench, maybe two dozen barbells, 3 or 4 cardio machines, and thats about it, all inside a 20x20 ft room. It really gets awkward when there are more than 2 people there, because you can't turn around without someones unmentionables in your face. As for the rooms themselves, I give them an A. I loved mine. You walk in and there is an office area to your left, a microwave and a small refrigerator, coffee pot -- everything you need for a short stay. To the right was a couch, end tables, and a nice hdtv to watch when you get back to your room (AMC, HBO, Comedy Central, and CNBC were my favorites.). Giant king sized bed at the far end of the suite, a full shower, and a sink to put your toothbrush are all included, along with the daily cleaning provided by the friendly staff. Free Wifi and Internet connections throughout the building also makes this a winner in my book. I gotta hit Suites with -1 star for the size of the fitness room, and another -1 star for the utter lack of quality I saw in the fruit section at the complimentary breakfast. It looked like they scooped out all the day old fruit from the local grocers and gave them up to us the next day -- finding fruit that isnt stained or bruised is a feat in and of itself every morning. C'mon guys, for $130 a night, you can't get fresher fruit? read more

DISGUSTING AND STAINED BEDSPREAD!!! Ugh! We only stay at Marriott hotels and had booked a 2-night stay at Springhill Suites using points. There is a certain level of cleanliness and comfort that we expect from Marriott brand hotels, even if they are not the full-service ones. As we walked in the lobby smelled like cigarettes but maybe other patrons had been smoking and than gathering in the lobby so I ignored it. We went up to our room on the 4th floor and I was disgusted. Immediately, I saw that there was plastic debris on the floor and then my son saw the bedspread and asked about the stains (see pic). That's when we began to notice that EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ROOM was dirty and dilapidated. The black chair was covered in something white (see pic). The desk was covered with some sort of glue (see pic), and the furniture was ripped and looked very worn (pic). I went to the front desk and almost got stuck in the elevator (the original elevator was fine but this one the metal covering the buttons was slightly askew and loose and elevator stayed closed on one of the floors for quite a while with me pushing the button again and again before it began to move--I was about 1 second away from calling for help). The wallpaper around the elevator is peeling and the lower half of the elevator itself was covered in dirt. I called the Marriott Rewards number and was told that this hotel was renovated in 2014, as was the TownHill suites next door and both are owned by the same management company. I began to laugh when he told me that they had been newly renovated. I blame the management of Springhill Suites for the maintenance (or lack thereof) and uncleanliness of the hotel. It was unacceptable. We ended up switching our reservation to the Fairfield Inn on Airport road. It was a few miles further for us but there was NO WAY that we would be staying in such a dirty room with stained bedspreads. The Fairfield Inn is like night and day from Springhill Suites. There is no way that Springhill Suites should be carrying the Marriott name. read more

Most hotel restaurants are hardly worth patronizing in my experience. But let me tell you that you do not realize what a resource a hotel restaurant/bar is until you stay someplace, like the Springhill Suites, that has neither a restaurant or a bar. The rooms here are quite decent, and it is an extended stay where each room has a kitchen. But the nearest grocery store is a $20 cab ride away, so I would not recommend this place if you don't have a rental vehicle or your own transportation arrangements. The front desk tries to be helpful by recommending the "best" take-out places to order from, but they struck out during my stay in three attempts with three different recommendations. Find a different place, unless you have your own traveling food stuffs. read more

ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND! Love this place! Wish we stay here longer than one night. Adorable suites with kitchenette, tasteful art and two flat screen TVs: one is the kitchen and one in the bedroom. Everything is here for your enjoyment and people that work here make sure it stays this way. The pool area is adorable with a water fall and even a lift chair for people with disabilities so that they can also be in the pool! I will post photos. Would definitely stay here again! read more

Stayed 4 nights at this hotel and have nothing but great things to say about this place! It's right off the highway so it makes getting to places around town very easy. Great location. The staff was phenomenal and went above and beyond to help, they even helped me with a later check out since I had a late night flight. They had a great breakfast that you could eat out by the pool at one of the tables or in the indoor seating area. They had candy, water, and cookies throughout the day in the lobby. The room was awesome! Has a sitting area with a sink and tv, a bedroom with a mounted tv and separate sink area from the bathroom. It was more than enough room! The housekeeping staff did a great job, my room was always very clean. I travel 3 times a month and this has been one of my favorite places to stay! I'll definitely be returning!
