This place has been no exaggeration, a life changer for me. Started out there around 2 and a half years ago when, in the way any good lazy person thinking about getting fit does, I googled "what's the nearest gym to my house?", and this place cropped up. Best Googling decision of my life! I always wanted to try kickboxing & this was one of the only places I'd seen that offered a new beginners course. Which is recommended way to get started out with the kickboxing classes. New beginners course is 6 weeks long, with 2 classes during the week in the evening, and one optional class at the weekend on a Saturday. At the end of the 6 weeks, you get to grade for your first belt. The gym is for people of ALL FITNESS LEVELS - the physical part of the training gradually builds up from the beginners course, but you're never made to feel bad if there's something you can't do at first - instead you're just encouraged to keep improving. The tabata classes are a really great accompaniment to help you improve your general fitness for your kickboxing training. Every time when I think I'm in the best shape of my life, they help me to push myself further, in a really relaxed and enjoyable environment. The martial arts instruction Springhealth offers is second to none. I started out just wanting to get a bit fitter, but now full-on love kickboxing and I'm grading through the belts. There's around 5 lead instructors, and each one is brilliant. They all have slightly different teaching techniques but all share the same drive to help you succeed and improve. It's an amazing environment to be in. There is absolutely no ego or no bravado in this gym. It's a great mix of gender, age & experience - the number 1 appeal of this place was and still is, that everybody is welcome! read more

I was nervous about attending a gym class by myself but I felt welcome and included from the second that I stepped into the door. There's a real sense of community at this gym and always a positive, friendly atmosphere. I go to their tabata sessions and always feel great afterwards. Come in for a free trial session! read more

I am someone suffering from depression who was thinking of taking up kickboxing. So i saw this place online, and it mentioned that they did taster classes and said come and try a class for free. I thought it would be a good way to help my condistion and also meet good people. So i decided to try and emailed the place to say could I come in in a couple of weeks, but i was told no i could not. By a person called AUDI. That In actual fact i could only do a taster class as part of a 6 week paid for course. And that this taster session could only be done within week 1 or 2 of that 6 week course, and if you couldnt do that you would need to wait for the next course. well thats fine, but as i pointed out (politely ) to him, that is not what it said online. I was then subjected to a barage back and forth email tirade by this character audi, as to why their website was correct and i was wrong. I advised to him that all i was trying to do was point out a fault in their information from a new customers point of view, in order that they can improve and change it, and was subjected to very abrasive and sarcastic comments. I then pointed out that the customer is always right and i got the below from him as to why he considers that customers are not right at all!!!!. Therefore I am afraid i will be complaining to the proper authorities as to the way I have been treated, which was nothing but an innocent enquiry turned into abuse and bullying. from audi in response to me saying have u heard the phrase the cuustomer is always right And finally, of course I've heard that phrase, which was coined by the owner of selfridges-a multi millionaire trying to make sure his underpaid employees made sure they made a sale no matter what-he actually did intend for them to take it literal and many research has been done to say that that phrase is wrong, here are a few reasons -it gives abrasive customers an unfair advantage -it results in worse customer service -some customers and just plain wrong I hope the above has been entertaining enough for you, and i throughly expect you to come back with a clever response. But as you can see, I'm not to concerned about this because i learn from every experience i have. I hope you have a lovely evening read more

I've been training at Springhealth for 8yrs, earning my black belt after 6yrs (one of my proudest moments) and making lifelong friends along the way. I keep coming back because the training is world class (literally both head coaches, Alex and Audi, are either current or former champions) and the people make it sociable and friendly. There aren't many gyms where you absolutely love being there, but the Springhealth crew have created a welcoming atmosphere for newbies and veterans alike. The fact that there are so many regulars says it all and new joiners are quickly made to feel part of the family. Training is always pitched at an appropriate level for you, whether just starting out, working through the grading system or for those wanting to spar competitively at tournaments, representing the club. The one thing I always say to friends considering joining is that kickboxing at Springhealth gives you an adrenalin kick you won't find anywhere else, which is completely addictive. As long as you're prepared to work hard, you'll find it rewarding and challenging, but most of all fun. I look forward to seeing you on the mats! read more

I purchased a Groupon for the 6 week beginners kickboxing, mostly to improve my fitness. So glad I did, all the instructors/staff are really friendly, and also very patient with people like me who are a bit slow on the uptake. I am not a naturally sporty person, so in the past I have felt intimidated by flashy gyms where you feel like you are being judged on your performance, Springhealth is not like this, it has a great atmosphere, and the beginners class attracts a good range of fitness levels so you don't feel too bad getting out of breath after five minutes. Three classes a week for the beginners course is a bit of a commitment, but as classes in the same week are repeated you can afford to miss a few, and I find the repetition helps you get to grips with the moves. Can't say I am going to become a champion kickboxer (instructors are great but natural talent has to play a part) but after 3 weeks I feel fitter already. read more

I kickboxed at Springhealth for around 7 years, and I can't recommend them enough. I remember few years back when I wanted a goal and a contact sport to focus on. I tried out many kickboxing gyms in London, and eventually found a home at SH. As a beginner at that time, the instructors were patient, friendly and very welcoming. I loved it so much I continued to progress in achieving my belts over the course of 7 years. Today with family life taking over, I would definitely love one day to pick up where I left off and get those last two belts . If your looking for a focus, instructors who are trained and determined in helping you achieve your goals, Springhealth is the one. Springhealth is not just a kickboxing gym, it's a community and one big family! read more

Springhealth is quite honestly fantastic and I'll admit I'm totally addicted to it! I've tried lots of sports and joined heaps of different gyms in the past including a number of different martial arts clubs but Springhealth is by far the best and has kept me keen for many years now. The classes include a mix of technical training plus both cardio and strength work and the instructors all really know their stuff. There's a great atmosphere at the gym and it's really welcoming right from day 1. And not only have I vastly improved my fitness, I've also met loads of really lovely people there who I now consider to be great friends. I would absolutely recommend the place to everyone from total beginners right through to experienced fitness freaks! read more

I started at Springhealth almost a year ago with the beginner's course and have had an amazing experience training at this gym. The classes balance kickboxing technique, cardio fitness and strength training; the gym also uses a belt-based grading system, which I've found is such a great way of improving and staying motivated. The kickboxing and tabata classes have honestly pushed my body to physical limits I never knew I was capable of reaching! The gym also has a wonderful sense of community for socialising and meeting new people. I initially started kickboxing at Springhealth with the sole aim of improving my fitness but got friends, a new passion and of course a few new belts out of it! read more

I started at this gym a year ago on their 6-week beginners course. Within the first couple of classes I was hooked and I've not looked back since. Not only are the instructors extremely friendly, helpful, and fun, they clearly are all very competent at what they do. The gym is small which makes it great for getting the attention you need to improve and the workout is always amazing with help from the variety of classes. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is the greatest! The main thing I love about it on top of all this is that since I go several times I week I've now come to think of it as a second home and sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name! read more

Out of the 4 kickboxing gyms I've trained at this is definitely the best one. The trainers are lovely, friendly and extremely good at what they do, and they are all so passionate about it that you can't help but feel inspired to work hard. The classes are dynamic and intense and leave you feeling fantastic, they are both fun and very challenging. Sometimes I have to drag myself away, sweaty, wobbling, out of breath and with hands trembling, and I'm always looking forward to more. Getting that Livingsocial voucher for this was one of the best decisions I've made this year. I would recommend it to everybody, I love this place! read more

I have been a member of this gym for almost 4 years, the longest time I have ever stuck to any exercise in my life!! The people are what make this placelaughs, jokes, silliness all alongside some amazing training which will certainly keep you fit. Once you walk in the door it quickly becomes your second home and before you know it you will be fitter, healthier and will have earnt your first belt, which is something to be proud of. Before you know you know it you will be working towards being an advanced kick boxer whist still having the same amount of fun. read more

Discovering Springhealth was one of the best things that ever happened to me! Absolutely love all the instructors and made some amazing friends there - you become a part of the Springhealth family from the moment you walk through the door. I've loved working my way up through the belts and can also hugely recommend the tabata classes, which are tough (in a good way!) but incredibly fun and rewarding. I've already recruited family and friends who are also now hooked - so I 100% recommend coming and giving it a go :) read more

I started training 4 years ago and I have never looked back. The sense of community at Springhealth is amazing. I have made so many life long friends and training partners here. This place will forever be a part of my life. The instructors are amazing who are always available when you need advice, kickboxing related or otherwise. The tabata workouts are also amazing and are never the same. If you are looking to get fit and learn a new life skill at the same time, give Springhealth a try, you won't regret it!!! read more

I have trained at Springhealth for several years and it is so much more than a gym. A great place to set yourself personal goals be it fitness, achieving belts or learning some new exercise techniques. Every level is catered to allowing you to push yourself as hard as you want to, with world class kick boxers to push you that bit further if desired. Great people, good fun all in a laid back atmosphere that will make your workout so much more than a fitness regime. Be ready to sweat and enjoy. read more

This is an amazing place, very different from everything else I tried. It's small, so you always get lots of personal attention, which you really need if you want to learn martial arts. The atmosphere is great too: very safe and friendly. I went there over a year ago for a free introductory lesson and have been coming there several times a week ever since. read more

I couldn't find enough words to explain how much I enjoy coming here. The quality of teaching as well as the friendliness of the staff make the whole experience fantastic.
