Agree everything is overpriced and customer service is unwelcoming. They won't barter with the prices either so don't even bother. I was willing to spend more money but when they wouldn't even go a dollar down I just said "I'm good." I also asked if they had any other Marvel or DC figures, and he just said "I don't know, could be anywhere" -- didn't point out anything or try to help me look. Cute little antique strip mall! LOTS to look at and spend an afternoon paroozing around. I like that there was several different types of shops in this one location. There was plenty of parking. The only bummer was that the Funko Pop shop wasn't open so we didn't get to check that one shop out. Would recommend making a stop here while in town! read more

Sunday, April 25th, stopped in at Spring Street Antiques in Rockbridge, Ohio located at Hocking Hills Market with hubby, daughter and son in-law to check out the outside and inside vendors. There was a lot of shoppers there mixing together to enjoy the weather and the treasures. This has to be the worst store in this whole complex. There are tons of antiques, but they are all old items that no one really wants. Just old wooden dressers, and other miscellaneous items. There is also a distinct smell in the whole store. This isn't the kind of antique we were thinking that they had. read more

WAY OVERPRICED. Seriously a ton of junk. A few nice finds but it'll take you a while to find anything after a lot of annoyance from outrageous price tags. Cash only most of the stores there and if you use a card it's an additional charge. Really disappointed considering how massive this place is. read more

Their google hours say they are open until 6. I walked in at 5:30 and was warned that they were closing soon. Apparently they close their registers and usher everyone out the door at 5:40. Everything I saw was also overpriced. read more

I was appalled by the racist conversations I overheard between two women proprietors working the cashier and a customer when I visited the Antique Mall on June 24th between 1:00 and 1:30 pm. The conversation initially began as a discussion about how "Black Lives Matter means that all lives don't matter" and the recent protests. The discussion then rapidly escalated when one of the women stated loudly that "Black people should feel lucky they were brought here as slaves, because now they live in America!" The other women agreed to this sentiment and another offered some half-baked rationale that "all people have been slaves at one point or another" as if this makes okay the atrocities that have and continue to be perpetrated against Black folks in the U.S. for the past 400 years. My mother and husband were both going to buy something from this store. I told the cashiers that we would not be purchasing anything from their store as I was greatly offended by the racist statements they made. I tried to describe the Black Lives Matter does not mean that all lives don't matter, rather that Black lives are the focus of the present moment. I told her she obviously has not been listening to the conversations and statements made by Black activists and those involved in the Black Lives Matter movement, to which she replied "I have Black friends." I suppose she assumed this makes her racist statements valid? I'm sure that at least some of those who rent booths from this establishment and would be upset to learn that the proprietors are losing them business because of their shameful racist conversations held loudly at the entrance of the store. I'm also sure that some potential customers will reconsider supporting this business. read more

Me and my husband had stopped by after seeing the cute building from the road. Upon entering we were greeted multiple times by the workers but after looking around my husband accidentally bumped into one of the shelving units that were for sale but where this normally would've not been a problem the store had but very fragile glass baby items on that shelf even though the shelving had no doors attached to it and sadly a $15 item was broken as it fell when he bumped into it, obviously we gathered up the pieces and alerted the workers that this had occurred and we asked them what needs to happen next we were alerted of the policy of "you break it you buy it" even though there was no postage saying you needed to buy some thing if you broke it out of a complete accident and if that thing that was broken was less than a certain amount but also if the reason it was broken was partly on their fault for making such a enclosed room with a open shelving unit and putting fragile things on that unit. Also as this was a pure mistake and on their part lack of judgment to have such fragile items on a bulky shelf that covers half the entryway to another room, Of course we paid the $15 but left feeling as if we had done something so bad. read more

I stopped by here with my family over Labor Day weekend. I found some pretty cool things here as I was briefly walking though, but after my initial "greeting" with management I would never never buy anything!!! Outside they have several signs that say leave bags at counter. I barely made it through the door with my bag and I need to mention that the counter is facing the door, so they can see everything once a patron comes in, when they started yelling at me. I actually just poked my head in to see where my family had gone. Before I could even walk through the door I was rudely yelled at by not 1 but 2 people at the counter to "GIVE ME YOUR BAG! GIVE ME YOUR BAG!" WOOOW!! Never have I been in a store where I've been yelled at. I realize it's their policy, but before I could even finish entering I was yelled at?! I did leave my bag with them even though I was furious, long enough to round up my family and leave. Sadly for them was that my husband was holding a $300 item he had planned to purchase until I told him about how they had treated me. Then when I went to retrieve my bag the manager (I assume) followed me over to the door, pointed at the sign and said "OH maybe that's the sign you missed." A different person would have had some choice words for her, but I chose to just spend my money elsewhere and I'd strongly suggest you do the same. Nothing in their store would warrant me being treated so badly. If I could give them negative stars, I would. There's plenty of antique places in Ohio and I'll continue to spend my money anywhere, but here! read more

If you LOVE "antiquing" or just browsing for something unique, you may just find it here at Spring Street Antique Mall. This establishment consists of many booths or stalls where individuals each have their own area where they sell from a wide variety of items in different stalls. Here you will find old toys such as unopened action figures and dolls to old hand tools and I'm referring to tools that were used BEFORE power tools were around. Seriously, the tools and equipment I saw were definitely antiques to say the least but you could still use them if that's what you want. I also hope the owners read these reviews because customer service is EVERYTHING. Now, I haven't received the treatment as some reviewers have at this antique mall but there have been times where as soon as I walk in that the patrons behind the register give off a "vibe" so to speak that they aren't really interested in who walks through the door but of course their mood changes when I am interested in buying something. I love this place and I could look for hours on end going through each stall and always find something new the next time I come back. If I owned a bigger SUV or truck I would buy furniture here! There have been some rare and unique finds for antique furniture with a certain quality (SOLID WOOD) that just gives the furniture I have seen character and a classic, stylish design that is very hard to find in today's furniture. Overall, the only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is that customer service could be more inviting as you walk in. I do understand it's a business and they are selling other people's stuff who rent out stalls in their establishment but a friendlier impression when you walk in would be nice such as they could use funny signs saying what their rules are; "You break it, you buy it!" And show a funny picture. All of the hand written signs is kind of a turn off before and after you walk in. Also, some vendors SERIOUSLY need to analyze their prices. Some items are WAY overpriced and when I return I see the same items for the same price a few months later. Nonetheless, I still enjoy the "hunt" in finding items for sale at decent prices here and I look forward to the next time. PLUS NOTE: Saturdays and Sundays involve a flea market in this parking lot and there are seriously close to 100+ vendors here at times if the weather is nice as storage lockers for their merchandise is on the same property and parking lot! I have found SEVERAL items here from homemade copper wire jewelry and handmade sterling silver jewelry. I found the most unique amethyst ring here for $20! It's worth checking out with the antique mall. read more

It's rare that I visit Spring Street without finding something :) Their vendors are always bringing new antiques in, and the prices (for the most part) are good. I've actually gotten some amazing deals here, and the vendors are willing to consider offers by phone for higher priced items. If you're in the Hocking Hills area and like antiques, you should definitely check this place out! read more

This store was by far the best that we found while visiting and antiquing in the Columbus area. It was clean and well organized. The items for sale varied from modern to vintage. We didn't really see anything you could consider primitive--the oldest pieces didn't appear to date past 1900. For the most part, prices were reasonable and there were a few sales being advertised for Black Friday. We would definitely stop by here again. read more

Visit once or twice a year and always find a few treasures here. Overall a bit higher quality merchandise than most "group" malls. Very helpful service, especially the mall owners. Come on a Saturday during the season and enjoy the flea market outside the mall. read more
