My favorite wines in the Napa Valley. If you've not tried them, it's worth the effort.

The lineup included a great variety of complex, smooth and full-bodied reds along with light, vibrant, and citrusy whites. It's such a versatile wine, and I can't wait to serve it at dinner parties or give it as a gift!

It has not been chosen for you. But wait you can actually choose your wine but it is not time yet" . I do remember i have been picking up my monthly even if ita not due yet as long as it is the same month. I left the place and called them within 3 min to cancel me membership. Talking to a man , he dos not even ask me " is there a reason" or maybe he can offer how can the situation be better. Nope! None. Even gave me the beat reason without regret to cancel. I was a bit dissatisfied because i like the place. But them my husband said " dont worry there are many more winery around". I responded in delay... " ypu are right ". Juat sad i feel like they dont care

The craft fair itself was great and everyone there was so nice, but the winery is what really got me. I already know I need to come back with friends. The wine selection looked amazing and they have all kinds of snacks, games, and different areas to sit and just vibe. The decor was everything. Bookshelves filled with old timey books, really cool lighting, just a whole mood. I didn't love the wine I picked, but that one is on me since I skipped doing a tasting first. Lesson learned. I definitely want to go back when it's a little less busy so I can really take my time and explore everything. Lucid Winery... I will be back.

The place is bright with friendly patron. What I like more is this place served as community hub, from speed dating, live music, game night, etc. A lot of events hold in this place. Stay tuned. Edit: For me, what would make it a 5-star experience is having wines that stand out more (based on the tasting I had). I also appreciate the charcuterie setup, but a broader or more substantial food selection would elevate the experience. Lastly, a bit more organization in the space and overall flow could make it feel even more polished.

Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

They have many events here, including private events and wedding. The upcoming event is Port and Chocolate for Valentine's Day. That sounds so delicious. I loved chocolate and my husband is always up to trying another port. Parking- They have a private lot and we were able to easily find a parking spot right in-front of the entrance. Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.

And it is a source of great pride to find our local, Greater Sacramento-Delta Bogle wines when we travel outside of California or USA. In fact, we were thrilled to enjoy a bottle in Shanghai, China! But we had never been to the Bogle Family Ranch and Vineyards outside of Clarksburg, CA. We finally reserved a couple of hours to visit the winery - and can't say enough good things! We enjoyed several, terrific wines not available in our local stores - such as their delicious Sparkling Rose! But more importantly, experienced a lovely afternoon on the BEAUTIFUL Bogle Family Ranch grounds! Everything around us was green and gorgeous; with cool breezes due to the surrounding water of the Sacramento River. The picnic tables were warm and inviting. The snacks were great (we brought a picnic lunch). And EVERY employee with which we spoke was excited to educate and inspire us - taking great pride in Bogle Family's six generations of Delta farming; sincere commitment to sustainability and the community; and vision of how the family plans to continue the winery's growth and international expansion, while maintaining its commitment to winemaking excellence. Every staff member that we met had been Bogle employees for over 10 years at least (a couple over 30!). I think it really says a lot about a company and family when their employees promote and compliment - even when the bosses are not in the room! While we had originally planned just a one-time visit to the Bogle vineyards, we left as Bogle Family Wine Club Members. And look forward to attending many Bogle events (including live music and movie nights), in the upcoming year. Well done and thanks for a great day, Bogle Family!

I was really looking forward to visiting Bogle Winery since I'd never been before and had heard…read moregreat things. The wine and property are lovely -- unfortunately the welcome at the door felt like an audition for "Most Judgmental Winery Greeter." When we walked in, the woman at the front greeted us with a slow head-to-toe scan before even saying hello. For context, we weren't exactly stumbling in from a river float -- Patagonia, designer black jeans, nice casual wine-country attire. My partner was dressed similarly. Completely normal for a winery visit. Since it was my first time there, I asked where we should go. She informed us -- while continuing the visual inspection -- that upstairs was reserved for more formally dressed guests with reservations. The upstairs area, by the way, was completely empty. She then told us we could "go help ourselves around the corner." The tone was less "welcome to wine country" and more "you appear to be beneath the staircase." Honestly, I've been to plenty of wineries, from casual tasting rooms to higher-end spots, and I've never been greeted with that level of instant judgment. It was oddly hostile for a place that literally sells a beverage meant for relaxing. The ironic part is that after getting past that moment, the rest of the experience was actually nice. The wine was good, the grounds are pretty, and the other staff we interacted with were perfectly pleasant. But that initial interaction? Brutal. If first impressions matter (and they do in hospitality), someone might want to let the front door know that sizing people up like a nightclub bouncer at 1am isn't exactly the warm, welcoming winery vibe most people are hoping for. Great wine. Beautiful place. One spectacularly toxic greeting.

This tasting room is looking to provide high quality service that people would expect from more established wineries and they are doing it right. I've been here 4 times by the time of writing this review and the experiences have all been fantastic. All the staff really do invest in the guests. Very knowledgeable about the wine and dishes. They take the time to really break down the wine and food if you don't know your stuff like me. They check up on you frequently! I really enjoyed the Carmenere wine. It's not as dry and is easily palatable for people who don't usually prefer red wines. I'm not super knowledgable in wine, but the flavors were earthy and slightly dark fruity taste. Some nights they have live music or events to meet the owners. Can't wait to see how the vineyard turns out if this is just a sneak peak of what's to come!

Our wine host was friendly, super knowledgeable on the wine varieties as well as giving interesting wine descriptions. I thought the pours were generous and I didn't feel rushed. I liked that I was given time to investigate and enjoy which wines I wanted to purchase. I bought 4 bottles to enjoy at home. The Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Sierra red were my top three favorites. I docked a star since it's not really a vineyard and you have a view of Highway 80 but overall it's a great little escape and great way to spend the afternoon.
