Honestly this is the best company that I have ever dealt with. Recently reached out to this company because we needed some maintenance done on our unit. Unfortunately our unit was too old that we finally needed to get a new one. If only there could be a negative rating( please Yelp, work on that!) I am so extremely annoyed by their entire operation at C.W.P.. I called a little after 9 that morning and explained my problem, the female who handles the scheduling said the tech would be at my house between 3-5PM. 4:30 rolled around and I still hadn't heard anything so I called to inquire about the status of tech, the same receptionist told me that she would have him call me right back and he should be there soon. An hour later and I didn't hear anything, I called back. She said that he is scheduled to be there between 5-7. Ummm what??? Then why on earth didn't she said that the first time when I called at 4:30??? If this is the type of service you want, give them a call, if not, keep searching for a reliable company! 7 rolled around and they still hadn't arrived and my calls were going unanswered. I finally had a male friend call and leave a voicemail, guess who's call got returned instantly??? They finally showed up and pushed for an almost $800 service which I declined since I didn't really trust them at that point. A week later I had another company come out and guess who doesn't need the service they kept pushing, me! I will however say that the two techs who came that night were very nice and polite. The push for service is probably something their entire company forces since the tech before them did it too. This company is unethical and I will never do business with them again. ----------- Not happy with the quality of work or service done by C.W.P.. My AC unit wasn't turning on, they sent one of their technicians out on the same day, which was awesome, but the repair didn't last. My unit worked 3 times before it stopped turning on again. I'm not looking forward to calling them and getting someone to check the work that was done and even then I'm not sure I'd trust them. The entire time the tech was here he tried to up sell me on work that I knew wasn't necessary, because another reputable company had checked out the unit less than a year prior to C.W.P.'s visit. Even after the repair was done I had their office calling to sell me on a crazy expensive service which I had already declined multiple times while the tech was here. I don't appreciate their pushy sales tactics, that alone is enough to send customers running in the other direction.... The poor quality of work was the icing on the cake. I'm sorry I called C.W.P. and I wish I would have just held off and waited for the company I usually use to have openings. With the summer coming up this year and with my family now living in a home (built in 1946) with only an old-fashioned window AC we decided to have a proper AC installed. This was especially important because my grandmother now lives with us and is especially affected by the heat. I spoke with their pleasant receptionist, Kathy, and then with Phillip over the phone and he calmly answered all of my questions with courtesy (not pushy like the people in other places I called). Well, I decided to go with them and was pleasantly surprised. Phillip and his partner (I think his name was Frank) worked quickly and obviously knew what they were doing. At the end they tested out everything and explained to me some things to avoid doing, and other issues related to safety. May, June, July, August and September have all passed and my new system is still going without any problems that I can see. So I thnk it is safe to say by now that they have done the job right. I now have their number on my refrigerator, and have already recommended them to my friend whose AC went out in August. read more

I usually hate to give 1 star reviews but, sadly, they couldnt deserve it more. Situation: Main AC unit outside stopped running, internal blower unit functioning, but no cold air. Called them out to diagnose ($65 fee). While they were out to the house in a short time and their diagnosis was quick, I did not feel comfortable with their high repair quote. You see, they indicated the capacitors as being the primary point of failure, along with a couple other recommended maintenance tasks. Two capacitors..... just two. Their price: $450.00. And that didnt even include whatever insane labor or other parts fees were bound to show up. Not one to just take the quote at face value, I researched the specific capacitors already inside the unit and OEM replacements I found online. I purchased new, genuine parts recommended by Carrier and exactly in the same voltage, mHz, microfarads, and tolerance specs. Genteq was the brand (high quality OEM manufacturer, associated with GE). My total cost: about 25 bucks. Do some research online... call around to other vendors... ask if they will do installs if you provide the parts. Otherwise, its little more than robbery. I can only imagine how many people are royally screwed by outfits like this. 1 star. 0 if I could. read more

I had waited months, through the brutal heat of summer, before I was finally able to afford to have my Mini-split A/C installed in my production room, & the old adage is still true; You get what you pay for with CWP! For an artist on a tight budget, they were a little pricey, but I would soon find out; worth every penny, & they probably ended up saving me money in the long run. They came and did the install after a full technical evaluation, even popping the hood and testing the compressor. The installation was finished in a timely manner and well organized. Leo's team worked well together, and were good guys all around, & though they were welcome, I was smiling from ear to ear from the ice chilled breeze that was now blowing on my face after they left. I thought my experience was over. However a couple of days later, I came home and noticed a pool of oil underneath the compressor unit. There was a problem, and the next work day, Leo was there to find out what had gone wrong. It turned out to have been a manufacturing mistake that took a few days of operation to reveal itself. The guys loaded it on to their truck took it into their shop, and the next day it was back home, and working perfectly ever since. While the initial cost was a bit high for me, their professionalism at finding and diagnosing the manufacturing flaw, was second only to their skill in fixing it. Because I had already paid for a full install, Phillip (the owner I believe) was very gentle on the return visit and repair, and even worked with me at paying the new balance. Being a fairly skilled carpenter and mason, I will often tackle an electrical or plumbing problem myself with great success. However, a mini-split is a very intricate machine, and it takes a proper hvac professional. Out of those, there are only a handful that are as professional, friendly, and accommodating as the CWP crew. You will feel like you've made new friends when they have gone. I called to get a quote on coming out to inspect where my air filter was located and how to change it because I purchased a home in which I did not know where the previous installation had it located. We agreed $65 would be the upfront price for this very mundane task as I understand time is money. Upon entering and inspecting where my filter is, the technician immediately tried to sell me a completely new HVAC!? This was annoying because the purpose of the visit was about a filter. After listening to his soliloquy he also rambled about the financing options I had available to me in CA- again way off subject. I told him no thanks and to please tell me about my filter. He showed me my filter and told me as soon as they found a part he would come by and change the filter at no added cost to the $65, just the part itself. Subsequent to this visit someone from CWP called me to explain that changing the filter would be an additional $286 (parts and labor)! After asking for itemized pricing, which somehow took 3 different call-backs from a confused person on the other end, he said labor was approx $200 and the part, which included a mark-up was the rest. I informed him also that the technician who initially came out said there would be no further labor charges, and he acted like I was speaking another language. I informed him I was no longer in need of their services because a filter change isn't worth that and because their entire team seemed to be more interested in up-charging me for simple services and offering me things I don't need instead of listening to my actual needs. Highly disappointed with the basic level of service that I never found, feel like I wasted a lot of time with them on nothing. I did not have five star experience at all. read more

We recently had an entire new system installed by CWP. I've been in the sales/service arena for the better part of 25 years and I can honestly say that CWP checks every box when it comes to exceeding customers expectations. Our unit went out during the recent heat wave where we experienced 100 plus degrees in Whittier. CWP brought a crew into my home (all wearing masks) and worked until well into the evening to ensure we had air. They followed up the next day and replaced our entire duct system. CWP did NOT push anything on us, they were very clear with different options and let us decide what was best. Had our air conditioner and furnace/blower replaced last week by CWP. The service was excellent from our call to request an estimate until the job was completed. Juan was very professional, anticipated most of our questions, provided a detailed estimate and oversaw the installation process. All of the installers were so friendly and professional. They covered our floors with drop cloths, wore shoe protectors and masks and all the necessary protective gear when they had to go under the house. The job was completed in a little over 1 day, but Juan made sure that we could use the a/c that night (it has gotten to about 100 during the day). I had an extremely positive experience. These last couple of days have been very hot and humid. One day my AC decided to break down in the middle of the hottest day. My home was unbearable and the heat was so bad that it gave my child a nose bleed. I called several places I found on yelp and no one was available until the following week. I called CWP and they sent Marvin and Phil within two hours. Those guys are amazing at what they do! They were professional and kind. I felt bad because the house was so hot and both Marvin and Phil were drenched in sweat. Anyway, they fixed the problem inside the furnace and left. Not too long after, the outside unit had another issue (important to say that this AC unit is older) at which I called CWP again. They sent Marvin and Lucio. They fixed that issue and now my AC is running fine! I don't know anything about Air Conditioners and I was afraid that someone would take advantage of me being that I'm a single mom with no knowledge of how this kind of stuff works. However, Marvin explained everything to me in detail every step of the way and answered all of my questions. The best part is that they were available right away, they were compassionate towards our problem and they really cared! The gentlemen who work in the office are also very kind and professional, I thank them for everything they did for me and my child.
