I was after a pair of walking boots and I was offered at least 5 different pairs to try on with no pressure to purchase a particular brand but just given terrific advice. I eventually purchased some AKU Pilgrim boots and couldn't be happier even though to look at they may not have been my first choice they are fabulous. If you want impartial no pressure advice on walking/ hiking/climbing equipment I would be amazed if it gets better than this.

I usually purchase all the cards I need for the month ahead for birthdays, anniversaries etc. It is a very pleasant surprise when the bill is not as expensive as many of it's high priced competitors. I recently went into the Hereford branch during a very busy time when the shop was full of Christmas shoppers and staff were rushed off their feet. I needed a special card unrelated to Christmas that I couldn't find. The young lady assistant that I asked was unbelieveably pleasant given the crowded shop and actually went all around the shop with me until we had found what I wanted. She couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. When I queued to pay I then had a middle aged woman to serve me who again was very cheerful and pleasant and went out of her way to find a special sticker to add to the card I had purchased. During this time I noticed that nobody else was neglected or had to wait to be served. Top marks for a very pleasant and helpful shopping experience.
