De sauna van de heren is langer dan twee maanden gesloten. Er hangt een briefje aan: "We doen er alles aan om dit snel op te lossen". Als je een medewerker vraagt wat ze er aan doen wordt de vraag niet beantwoord read more
I've been going to this gym now for about 2.5 years. The location is great, it is right in the middle of Haarlem so reaching it is very easy. The staff are all very nice and almost always greet you as you come in and leave. There is a good assortment of things you can do such as weight training, cardio, lessons, spinning, tanning, etc. They have a number of different group trainings that you can do that are included with the price of membership although I have not done these before. The price is also very reasonable compared to what this location used to be when it was called clubsportive. Right now it is 35/month with a two year contract. Some negative points are while they do have a good variety of equipment, there is not very many of each thing. For example there is only one flat bench for bench pressing. The free weight section is very cramped and during peak time it is very hard to squeeze in with everyone else who is trying to work out. While most of the time it is not an issue, there is no air conditioning here. During the summer everyone will be sweating like crazy and therefore the smell is not so great but this is only an issue a couple weeks out of the year, otherwise the place is clean and does not smell. While this is not the best gym I've ever been to, it certainly does the trick, I am able to get to a gym that is close by 3-5 times a week and am mostly able to get accomplished everything that I want to but depending on how crowded it is, I may have to substitute exercises that I wanted to do with something else. read more
I just started at this gym a month ago but I'm pretty satisfied so far. Aside from normal gym stuff what attracted me was that they have (since this month) a separate group lesson room just for "body and mind" classes aka yoga/Pilates. A membership to a yoga studio is way more expensive than a gym membership and with the new room they offer a wide range of classes every day, which is perfect. The yoga classes aren't competing for space with the aerobics classes any more! They've also recently upgraded their cardio equipment so that not only can you watch tv, you can catch up on your Netflix cue or take a bike ride through the French alps. Anything to relieve the boredom of cardio machines, right?! read more

This club sucks! The owners only wants more and more members and only care about making the most money! Thats why all machines and weights are always busy because there are too much members for this club. There are no calves and hamstring machines. The hygiene is really bad! When you say something to girls they cancel your membership. All the women who work there are really cranky! This club sucks and only started for the money! read more

Clean facility in the center of Haarlem. I especially like that they have a lot of classes in the evening so I can work-out after work. They have the Les Mills program here so good work-out is guaranteed! read more

First the good. This gym isn't very expensive - provided you get on the 2 year plan - and it offers a decent range of facilities. There'r a sun bed, sauna/steam room, child care and a few classes included in the price. It also has plenty of cardio and resistance training machines. Now the bad. If you are into free weights then you should know that the dumbbells only go up to 32kg. Most people use less, but if you're serious about training you'll outgrow them within 6 months. Also, there's only 1 squat rack and 1 flat bench so if you follow a Starting Strength type of plan you should avoid peak times. The biggest problem I have with this place is with the showers. They work like this: you push a button, the water start coming out and it immediately goes scorching hot for 3 second, then freezing cold for 3 more seconds and then finally goes to being just right. Only problem is that the water stops approximately 10 seconds later so if you actually want to go home smelling good you'll have to repeat this process several times. Now, this doesn't affect your training - and most people don't even shower here - but I can't avoid thinking that maybe instead of a fancy sun bed they could have got the basics first and got showers that actually work. read more
