Catering Build Your Own Acai Bowl
    Andrew L.

The acai was more slimy than I would have liked. There also was not very much of it since it was so packed with other things (granola, nuts, fruits). If I'm paying $15 I'd like to get a bit more acai - it probably could've been packaged in a larger bowl.

Definitely a solid choice for a smoothie! It's connected to what seemed to be a local favorite. The food items on the menu sounded really good too. I'd recommend!

The smoothies tasted AMAZING! With tax, two drinks came out to about $20. Seems steep, but the drinks were pretty large and tasted fresh. Street parking was easy, but we also got there 30 mins before closing. We'll definitely stop by again!

    Falafel Kale Salad

This place was interesting. It was a restaurant within a restaurant it seems like. The address has a 1/2 attached to it. But they seem to share the same kitchen. I appreciate that during COVID time the workers don't touch napkins. They actually ask you to put it in yourself as part of their policy. I got their protein smoothie and it was really yummy! I asked for a topping which they added without extra charge. Thank you for the extra goji berries! I also ordered their falafel kale salad as well. I've tried a lot of falafel in my life and I was SO pleased with this one. They give you a nice big salad with a large scoop of hummus as well! The price was reasonable especially considering this was on the west side in my opinion.

    Avo Here

One of my go-to spots for acai bowls and smoothies. The Angry Trainer bowl is one of my favorite acai bowls - it has inchi protein powder which gives it a slightly nutty flavor, a generous amount of blueberries and bananas, sweet, homemade granola, and a drizzling of honey on top. I get the large size for a filling lunch. I really like the granola, and I think the acai is well-blended and smooth. The "avo here" avocado smoothie is creamy and quite filling. I've also had the "capo" chocolate which had little cacao crunchies in the smoothie. It also has protein powder so there's a slight chalky aftertaste, but it's still good. They do have food, as they work with Roni's Diner (right next door). The roasted vegetable bowl is quite filling and very healthy - it comes with an Italian balsamic vinaigrette, but I like putting tapatio on it to give it some extra zing. The chicken tinga bowl is also super filling, and they give a pretty generous portion of the shredded chicken. It's a small space, and it's best to just grab it to-go. It's also available on grub hub/seamless. Street parking is available, there's no free WiFi, and they do take credit cards. Overall it's a bit pricey, but I enjoy the quality and heft of the acai bowls.

This place has merged with the other restaurant next door. Favorite place to get an açaí bowl. Owner is nice and service is great too.

I was trying to find a place for lunch but felt like I need a refreshing acai bowl. Luckily this place is very close to my work so I was excited to order. I ordered ripe bowl and asked for no granola. Instead I added spirulina and they didn't charge me anything extra. Even though I bought a small one, the portion is pretty huge. The texture is perfect and fruits they serve are ripe and sweet. The lady who makes them is very friendly and nice. I'm satisfied with my order and definitely will be back!

Outstanding Pitiya bowl w activated charcoal, bananas, strawberries, coconut, hempseed and granola
    Jade G.

This is my first time ordering from them on Grub Hub and I promise it won't be the last! Many places that serve these kinds of bowls often skimp on ingredients. You may even find yourself paying for extras and wondering where is the extra. Not here! I was almost shocked when I got the bowl because I ordered a small! If this is small I can't only image what a large looks like. Not only was I stuffed after all the great toppings but even on a to go order or arrived nice and chilled, beautiful presentation and the extras I paid for were action portioned as extra. (Thank you for that ) It was also nice that on my order was a 25% discount I wasn't expecting and yes I will order with them again. I also find many places don't read the additional instruction that you add for preparation they read them and executed everything to perfection. It's the little things in service that matter. All ingredients were fresh, no over ripe old bananas they were firm and fresh, the berries were sweet and red, the almonds were not old stale or soggy and I love the activated charcoal which wasn't even on the menu but on my request they included it. The quinoa bowl was just delish! Crunchy broccoli, the cheddar cheese was just enough, the egg was cooked to my request and it was too much to eat but still tasted great later for lunch even at room temp. Over all great job guys! I'm here another 7 days and I will be ordering with you again. So far we are 3 days strong and I love each dish bowl and smoothie!

I happened to stumble on this place while walking in the area. The smoothies and acai bowl are amazing, and customer service is great. I got the carob which is great, and the classic acai bowl with a scoop of peanut butter. Their small s8ze for the acai is huuuge and would be a large at any other spot. I would definitely recommend this place.

I ran into this place on a Saturday while running other errands and I'm glad I did! I get the original acai bowl, size small is enough to fill me ALL morning (till lunch time around 1pm) which is saying a lot because my usual breakfast includes: 2 scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, two waffles and coffee ( which only fills me for about 2-3hrs.) There's street (meter) parking right in front, the earlier you go the easier to find parking. My acai bowl is about $9 (strawberry, banana, honey drizzle, granola, raisins)

    Angry Trainer açaí bowl
    Elizabeth S.

The Angry Trainer açaí bowl is my fave. This is actually my favorite açaí bowl spot in LA!! The best granola, which I find very important, and other fresh toppings makes this a gem.

This is what it looks like outside. Can be hard to find if you're searching for the word "spooning". Look for a big yellow spoon instead.

I decided on trying out this place based on a friend's recommendation. I went with the original acai bowl in the smaller size as I like to keep it simple. It was 8.95 before tax and I must admit you do get what you pay for - a fairly decent size, I couldn't imagine finishing a larger size in one sitting. This comes with the typical toppings such as strawberries, banana, blueberries, goji berries, and granola. The have a housemade granola which I personally didn't enjoy but other people seem to. Everything else was great - the acai base has good flavor and the fruit toppings were fresh. I took off one star because of just how small this place is. There's one small strip of bar to sit with about 3 seats to go along with it. It looks like a place to just come and pick up food, not good at all for hanging out. They do have outdoor seating but this wouldn't be pleasant on a hot day. I also recommend putting the name of the establishment on the outside of the building. It can be hard to find. I probably wouldn't return unless a friend wanted to go as a prefer other places for the seating issue. As far as parking goes, it is all street metered parking.

"Whole coconut"? Does that come in a cup or a coconut? XD

Hi thank you for your interest. It comes in a whole coconut. We open it for you. And provide a spoon and a straw. People like to drink the juice and then eat the coconut meat. Hope this helps answer your question.

I didn't end up buying snack but it's nice that they have them. On my visit I joined the rewards program. When you join you get a second drink free. I also purchased a mini bag to keep my drinks cool ($10). It's good to have on hand. This is a take-out only venue so I took my drinks to go. Service was excellent and very friendly. I purchased two drinks (well, technically one was free). I got the Wellness Smoothie Strawberry Orange Mango and the Vanilla Protein drink. They use very good, healthy ingredients in their drinks. Both were excellent but very different. The Strawberry Orange Mango Wellness smoothie was perfect for my morning meal. I feel like the orange flavor was the strongest with a sweet burst of strawberry at the end. I didn't quite get the full effect of the mango flavor but maybe the sweetness blended in with the strawberries. I would purchase again. If I had to choose between the two drinks this would be my choice because it is sweet as well but it's lighter in texture than the protein one. They are both very different though. The vanilla protein drink was also good. I noticed it has 2 more grams of protein than my usual protein drink from the market. It is also 3 ounces larger. Lastly, it has a lot more calories. I didn't drink it all in one sitting so I didn't really mind that. This protein drink was really good. It has almond butter in it which makes it thicker than the market variety and more dessert like. I love almond butter! Overall, I had a good experience here and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

I visited for the first time because I'm aware of the hype this place gets from the NorCal location…read more(which I have not been to) and I happened to be in the area, so why not. The place wasn't quite what I expected as it was very simple inside. For a place located in Beverly Hills, I had a vision of it being decorated nicely and plenty of seating. Seating was minimal to window stools and a small area behind the counter. That said, I came to try one of the bowls since that's what I was most familiar with. They offer a handful of bowl options preset, or build your own. There is also a dozen or so smoothies to choose from. For my first time, I went with their most popular bowl, the Bay Blend Bowl. I was familiar with everything that was in it, except the coconut beach base. The bowl was very good and you can taste the quality ingredients that are used. The service was great from the moment I walked in and was greeted until I left the store. The bowl was presented beautifully and was a perfect fit to the top of the lid. The first few bits were good, but I wasn't wowed. However, by the time I got to the coconut base, I was impressed!!!! I like coconut, but am very picky as to the what foods it is combined with, texture, sweetness, etc. This bowl worked in every way. Once I tasted the coconut, I think every bite from there on out had a bit of coconut on the spoon. Something different and refreshing! I get the hype and I will definitely return. Only thing I was a bit annoyed by was trying to find parking. All the lots were full and so were street spaces. I was on my last circle around the block when luckily someone pulled of a space. Plan accordingly as ya may be walking a bit.

The toppings would usually reach the dome of the lid and you would be scared of opening. Today, my toppings only reached the rim of the bowl. My partner goes more often than me and he noticed it a few weeks ago. Also, there must be a gnat issue. We sat at the countertop along the storefront. There were gnats flying above our bowls and into our faces as well as a graveyard on the countertop in the corner (near the poster). The sun probably killed them. My partner thought they were chia seeds but I didn't have any chia seeds in my bowl. I saw legs and wings. I lost my appetite then looked at the topping bar. There was a sneeze guard but most of the toppings didn't have lids. Maybe the staff was in the process of refilling the bar. They do slice the fruit in house. Idk. Might take a break. If I return I'll only do takeout. I do love that the Acai has no sweetener added and it's 80cal per 100g.

Ordering was a bit of a hassle. We got the "Green Ecstasy" and "Chocolate Power" adding protein powder and MCT oil. Pretty simple but the cashier was confused cause we asked what vegan proteins they had (they had whey and pea) and also asked to sub the peanut with almond since there was a peanut allergy. I watched them make our smoothies and they only added protein in one of them (even though we paid the additional price) and then asked if almond butter was used instead of peanut and they guy goes "why is almond butter not vegan"? I'm not sure if it was sarcasm or if he really just didn't know but it kind of annoyed me. We left and my boyfriend enjoyed his smoothie but mine was chunky, didn't have the add ons I paid for and was a super mediocre smoothie especially for $15.
