Pretty scary! My family and I did the 13+ and did the haunted house, woods, and disturbia. We all agreed that haunted house was the scariest. Definitely recommend for people who love a good scare! read more

Even just the trip to Spookers is an adventure. It gets darker and darker as you get more into the country and if you are like me, your nervous feeling only increases the longer you are in the car! I visited Spookers for the first time recently with my flat. I was freaking out about it, if I'm honest, because I don't even watch many scary movies. There were are a choice of three attractions when we went, so you could do all three or choose what ones. We decided to do the haunted house and the corn maze. These both got the heart racing but I found the corn maze the most adrenaline pumping (I think because it was outside, in a corn field and just not knowing what was around each corner)! I enjoyed and survived my time at Spookers! It was just the right mix of scary. Thankfully not any scarier! I'm glad I went. read more

Spookers is great fun any time of the year and caters for all ages. They provide attractions during the day (with no actors) for kids from 8-16yrs, and the major attractions for over 16's in the evening. The actors at Spookers are sublime. They always scare me to the point of laughter even when I'm really not finding it humourous. They pop out of nowhere and are sure to give the manliest of men a fright! They make-up and costumes are spot-on, and even when I know which characters will be in each room, I'm still as nervous as ever. The best attraction without a doubt is Cornevil. Running through a maze in the middle of the night running from ghosts and ghouls is sure to get your adrenalin pumping and your mind (and body!) racing. Four words: beware of the chainsaw! If you haven't been to Spookers before, you may find that you get lost on the way to Karaka and this will probably make you more scared than you already were. But that's the whole experience for you, you'll probably be scared all the way home. read more

Very poor, unprofessional customers service and management. My girlfriend was terrified and asked in the begging that "she wanted to leave". However staff didn't give us any option to leave through emergency exit or any shortcut exit. Instead to lead us to go through all attractions. They more care about their business with other customers instead my girlfriend had terrible feeling. We complained through the e-mail, but final response was extremely unprofessional, such as: "trouble communication", "English not being your first language", "(staff) needed to take you quickly so that she could get back to her place" and "attractions requires us to have a group go through every 2 minutes" it is not a appropriate way to make excuse for your staff horrible mistake. I strongly believe this company do not have any professional training about how to deal with the customers in special and emergency situation. And also from the e-mail we received, its sound like to blame us didn't complain this situation immediately to the duty manager. In fact we made a call after we left in 30 minutes. I will be happy to put this case in court for several reasons. If someone else got similar situation please contact us. read more

This place is hilarious. In a good way. I will take you through my night. A friend and I were sitting at home on a Friday night with a lot of pent up energy. We were throwing a few ideas around and then remembered how someone had been to Spookers the weekend before. So we headed out. It is a looooooong way from where I live, but we used the drive to start scaring ourselves as much as we could. Once on the freaky as dirt road that leads to the building we put our radio onto white noise. We turned up to this very scary old building that was in fact an old mental hospital, and proceeded to have a very fun night. We ran through the corn fields screaming our lungs out but also laughing so hard we were crying. We then went into the haunted house, making our way through numerous rooms all with different but equally entertaining themes. The actors here are so so good, and they definitely make Spookers the success that it is. Such a funny way to spend a night - they've done a really great job, and despite trying to be tough, I think it would be impossible not be nervous here!. read more

We went to Spookers in a group for a hen's party. None of us knew what to expect, and we were all a bit apprehensive about even going. But it was awesome! So much fun! I don't really want to give away too much because I think going with no expectations made it even better. I was really impressed with the quality of the scary makeup and the acting. Also, in case you're worried, there's no touching. Some parts are a bit scary, but it's so incredibly well done, and I appreciated all the minor details as well. There's a huge bar, and an excellent shop with great horror themed merchandise. It's open really late too. And, they even offer a pickup/drop off service from your house if you have a large group! read more

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Spookers. We arrived at 7:30 PM, only to find ourselves waiting in line for TWO HOURS without even getting inside the venue! With last entry at 9:00 PM, this wait was utterly unreasonable. It felt like the event was oversold. While I get that Halloween brings in huge crowds, the lack of effective crowd management was evident. By 9:30 PM, we were still only halfway through the queue, which shows a clear failure to accommodate attendees properly. We traveled an hour and rented a car specifically for this event, only to walk away without experiencing anything, massive disappointment. read more
