The on line check in process is bad!!! The young lady at the…read morereception area is very cordial and tries to be very helpful. They want you to down load everything but do not have a WiFi connection in this facility????? I witnessed so many elderly patients trying to check in and having major problems with the on line process???? I have tried numerous times to log in myself and it doesn't recognize my phone number with patient info???? Wait, wait, wait, if I ran my business like this office does we would have been OOB, in less than 6 months. The Staff does their best I believe it's just over booking , check in processes changing and lost records. Checked In at 11 am for 11:15 Appt, it is now 12:30??? Did everything on line but one thing, didn't download my Drivers License???? They took my Co-Pay with "NO" Delay-Interesting, Right? Parking lot is in terrible condition, needs repair and surfacing badly. The reason for the 3 Stars is for the staff, ( the young lady at the front desk was assisting an elderly couple which I really respected-Nice Job) but something needs to change in scheduling, Check In On Line and being seen by a Dr. once checked in-50/60 time delay is not the way to run a clinic.

It had gotten to the point where I couldn't go grocery shopping or stand and make dinner at home without excruciating pain and having to ice my feet. I tried physical therapy, dry, needling, and any other types of things that I was recommended by a different doctor. Finally, I found Dr. Bates and he told me about Shockwave ! therapy. I went for three or four treatments and I have to say that my feet are now pain-free and it's been over a year! I just came back from a trip to Disneyland with my 3 1/2 year-old and we were in the park for 12 hours straight and I barely sat down. My feet didn't hurt at all even though my back did lol thank you so much Dr. Bates and everyone at the office for everything that you've done, I can't say enough seriously it completely changed my life and I'm not exaggerating at all about that! I thought I was going to be in pain for the rest of my life. I'm 55 years old and I was thinking that my life was just gonna be in constant pain. Thank you for changing everything for me!

First of all, scheduling anything by telephone is a nightmare…read more The town I live in is an hour's drive away -- but the ONLY way I can schedule an appointment is TO DRIVE THERE and talk with someone in person -- and if you're lucky, you'll be able to work with someone who isn't rude and/or ill-mannered. 8n my experience, there are a few people there with very low self-esteem who readily share their unhappiness with life readily with patients. Getting chewed out because your X-rays, pathology, and/or lab reports were sent to another doctor's fax portal by another facility is no fun, especially when everyone within earshot gets to witness the dressing-down in public. Their schedulers are very busy -- if only talking with each other -- and when they call you to schedule an appointment, procedure, test, etc, they give you three rings and hang up, even if you ask them to leave a message, calling them back is problematic: in 5 1/2 years, I've been connected with a live person just once. Playing phone tag with their is not only annoying, but in my experience, it has delayed getting in to having an important procedure done by 7 weeks. The other problem with schedulers is that they'll argue with you about something: in this case, when you call Banner Imaging or Radiology, they give you options about whom to speak with. I was told by one of the schedulers that she didn't think Banner did such a procedure -- but the phone tree's recording CLEARLY states that they do. When I was unlucky enough to get the same person in a subsequent call, I played the recording I made where it is very clear that they DO offer those procedures. Weeks pass, not hearing from my doctor about surgery and I called several times, leaving a message. After more weeks pass, I had to drive in to Sun City West -- requiring that I take 3 hours out of my work day -- and went in to speak with my doctor's nurse, PA, NP, or scheduler. Thankfully I made a note of the date and time that I spoke with the individual who argued that "Banner doesn't do this procedure" -- only to learn that my patient chart doesn't show that I called at all about scheduling tests and the surgical procedure. Even having the date and time noted, as well as my phone's electronic records of the outgoing call to Banner (19 minutes in duration) I was told that schedulers simply don't fail to leave a message for your doctor or department. Seems that I have evidence to the contrary. Someone is lying, and I have the proof that it wasn't't me. What gives a scheduler the right to decide whether or not I'm scheduled for surgery? My doctor recommended it less than two weeks after the injury, but here we are Last of all: my tiny town doesn't very good cell tower coverage (we usually have only 1 bar of signal), and we need to use WiFi calling in order to receive and make phone calls. Here's the reality: my phone carrier uses ground-station to satellite services; an incoming call goes from Banner Health's phone trunk, to a satellite broadcast facility, to ground stations around Arizona, looking to find my phone; my phone is connected to Starlink via our WiFi, and Banner's services through another satellite system. All this switching requires some time -- and when the scheduler hangs up after she hears three rings, my cellphone has rung only once if at all. That's the reality. It's faster than the old electromechanical switching systems used for landlines -- but with a price. There is no one you can speak with when you find yourself ensnarled in Banner's bureaucracy and its dysfunctional employees: you're simply directed to speak with a supervisor at the facility where you made contact. Those supervisors don't have the time or patience to deal with difficulties, and I've run into two who were short-tempered -- and immediately took sides with their problem-child subordinate who is likely to sue them if disciplined -- without hearing me out. Anger one of these ill-adjusted people and you find yourself without medical care. Am I exaggerating? No. I've been trying to get surgery for a serious problem since a significant injury in April, and now, with 1/3 of July being gone, 13 weeks have passed and the problem is much worse -- and far more painful. Accordingly, I have left Banner Medical to join a different medical group, and in just two days, was scheduled for surgery.

I asked three separate employees there how long she had stopped breathing and what action was taken- if any. No one would say. When I requested the information from Melissa the Nurse manager, she would only state it was a 'brief apneic episode, she did not code' but would not say how long "brief" was. The several times I asked about the possibility of a propofol error they only sated 'it was not possible', and at one point the nurse manager giggled at the idea. In the end there wasn't anyone still that would answer how long she was not breathing. Dr. Saman A. Farnoush was the anesthesiologist who attended medical school in Carribean. I filed a complaint with the AZ Board of Medicine with the hope they will ask also how long she was not breathing.
