This stadium is located in Bornheim and is the home of FSV Frankfurt…read more I have been to several stadiums over time and this truly is one of the best. It is not huge by any stretch, but appropriately fits the amount of fans FSV receives for each game. They have a standing section and many seated sections. I have never experienced standing sections at arenas or stadiums until coming to Germany and I hated it at first, but now I love it. They are able to sell tickets dirt cheap and it allows everyone to get the opportunity to watch the game, regardless of disposable income. This is truly what sports is all about. The standing tickets are like 10 euros (I normally am there on a season's pass)- totally affordable and you can always get them at the stadium before the game (unless cup game). Make sure to get there a bit early if you want to catch the whole game as the queues can be a bit extensive. As a female, I get right in since there are very few females at the sporting events here (maybe just a Germany thing??) The ladies that inspect my purse and pockets at the game are always super nice and look like they are having fun despite being on the outside of things. The drinks here are affordable at around 3,8 Euros a pop (or something close to it!). The beer man will sometimes come around- but it is never consistent, so fortunately they have beer stands all around the stadium that are easily accessible and the lines are never that long, even at halftime. They do sell Licher though which is pretty nasty. People congregate at the beer stands and sausage stands prior to the game starting and this is pretty fun as everyone is hyped up and excited for the match. They also congregate across the street after the game at the trinkhalle. But based on FSV's record lately, don't expect people to be too happy post-game. The bathrooms are impeccably clean and the stadium is well-kempt compared to many other stadiums I have been to. I definitely recommend a game here for sports lovers like myself!

Maybe it just happened to be lacking in those types of routes during my visit. Lots of interesting comp-style routes were available though. Sadly that's just not my style. - I found it a bit expensive. Shoe rental + entrance was around 19 euros. Although maybe that's a normal price in German standards.

Boulderwelt is awesome. Huge space-- probably the largest bouldering space I have seen anywhere. There are so many walls. The routes are not even jammed into the space, and the gym still felt like there was plenty of room, not crowded at all. The most distinctive thing about the gym was the route setting. Routes here uniformly reward patience and balance and slow-twitch technical skill. There are not so many dynos or superhero moves like my local gym. It took me half the session but once I got used to the style and knew what to expect, I started flashing half the routes I tried. Overall I really enjoyed climbing here. -1 star for a couple of things... it's 90 minutes walk from the center city, and 15 minutes walk from the nearest train station. It's worth the trip, but it is a long trip. Also, the walls and holds are very rough; they need sanding; wear long sleeves and long pants or else be prepared to leave some skin on the wall. And as big as the gym is, there was only one staff member handling the desk. He did his best but the place seemed understaffed to me. Will definitely return next time I am in frankfurt. Thank you Boulderwelt!
