"Oh you can search far and wide, You can drink the whole town dry. You'll never find a beer so brown But you'll never find a beer so brown As the one we're drinking in our town. You can kick your fancy ales. You can drink em by the flagon. But the only brew for the brave and true . . . Comes from the Green Dragon!" OK, so no beer is served here...but if Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pipkin were to open up a winery, this would be it. The tasting room is built into the wine cellar, which is partly built into a grassy hill...groovy! Friendly staff gave us a warm welcome. I thought the wines were good, though it was winery #6 or #7, so my palate, and memory, might not be 100% accurate. Definitely worth a visit!

I am surprised I have not heard about this excellent winery sooner. Great selection of varietals with prices in the 30s. Josh was very friendly and kind. Check in for a Yelp coupon. I bought 5 bottles.

Elizabeth was terrific in making an enjoyable experience. They have a nice intimate setting inside or you can sit outside. They have a nice mix of red and whites. The port was excellent.

We were just visiting from Utah traveling for the weekend and did not have a reservation. Michelle was so kind in accommodating us. Fabulous wine tasting! She introduced us to a delicious late harvest dessert wine. Lovely little vineyard! Definitely worth the drive. :)

A good friend of mine invited us to visit Field Stone as a thank you for serving as bridal attendants at her wedding. The winery was a bit farther out than the other wineries, but definitely worth the drive. We underestimated the St Helena traffic and ran a bit late to our tasting, but thankfully the staff was warm and inviting nonetheless. A gentleman named Josh took us through a tasting of whites (I especially loved the viognier). From there, he led us on a tour of the grounds. We took in the beautiful growing areas; the cypress trees brought over from Italy many years ago; the historic barn, and of course, the resident winery goat. I couldn't resist snapping photos throughout, as the area was truly gorgeous. Once we returned from the tour, Josh served us a sampling of reds, including syrah, port, etc. We also devoured their cheese platter, which included salami, parmesan, manchego, olives, almonds, and brie with crackers. We could purchase wine if we chose to, or we could pick up a wine-related item from their modest gift shop. Josh also mentioned how a portion of the proceeds from bottles of their convivio wine went to Clinica Alianza, a nonprofit medical center which aids farm workers and their families. We also met John, the winery's owner. He was friendly, unassuming, and asked if we were enjoying ourselves. Most awesome. I really appreciated the intimacy of the winery, the genuinely personable service, and the opportunity to have a private tour. This was certainly worth the trip, and I hope to visit the winery again soon.

“The things that set Field Stone apart are definitely the staff and the subterranean "cave" and tasting room.”

She also brought out a plate of locally crafted pastries for us to pair with our wine. The wine itself was very tasty and smooth, we bought a couple of bottles to share in Downtown Healdsburg afterwards so we could continue enjoying it. The winery itself is very beautiful and has a stunning view overlooking Dry Creek Valley. They had ambient live music with a tongue drum that added to the atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit here!

Pros: -Dog friendly! -As someone who doesn't often drink, I liked the selection of wines we tasted. -Free tasting of Rosé during check-in. -Beautiful location & views -Charcuterie board looked beautiful and had some tasty snacks and fresh fruits. -Good service! -Nice music Cons: -Even with a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes (in the rain) to be seated. -If you're hungry, like I was, the only option are charcuterie boards that are $60-65. Pretty steep price!! There are cheap small a la carte snack options, like shortbread, chips, and crackers, but I needed more than that. A mini version of the board for half the price would have been appreciated as an option. For the price I paid, it would have been nice if the $65 Elevated Salumi Plate had more cheese. Eat something before you get here and save money. Overall, a pleasant wine tasting experience in a lovely location!

They offer a beautifully orchestrated zero-pressure experience that feels both luxurious and unpretentious. Our wine guide was amiable and knowledgeable, and the nosh plate was a perfect assortment/complement to the wines we tasted. Oh yeah, and the wines are great. We bought the 2024 Rose and the lighter fruit-forward Pinot Noir. My recommendations is to do the hi-lo experience when in Healdsburg. Come here for the luxe vineyard experience, then schedule a tasting at a nearby small working operation like Tongue Dancer for a view into hands-on high-quality winemaking.

We've always loved their wines, and we're very excited to enjoy a glass of wine in their beautiful setting. We were greeted at the front desk and turned away by a snotty, arrogant, and entitled staff. Never have I been treated in such a disrespectful way. We didn't have a reservation and were not allowed to even order a glass of wine. We were told we could walk through the garden but "make sure you don't sit on any of the furniture". It was delivered in such a snotty and condescending manner. We ended up going down the road and spent the afternoon at Twomey. We discovered our new favorite wine, and it wasn't Flowers. They lost 4 lifetime customers today all due to a snotty staff and a most unwelcoming vibe. I'd suggest you open up some slots for walk ups who may just want to order a bottle of your wine and enjoy it in the sunshine. It's too late to win us back...because now we'll always think of your brand as snobby and arrogant. And, who needs to be made to feel that way when there are so many other choices.

Our flight had a great mix of sparkling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. I'm a big fan of sparkling rosé, so that was definitely a favorite! We also ordered the charcuterie plate, which was delicious and had the perfect mix of savory and sweet bites to pair with our wines. Our server, Brandon, was wonderful. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and made the tasting feel relaxed and enjoyable. The tasting room is modern and comfortable, and the outdoor greenery was beautiful. I especially loved visiting this time of year with the leaves starting to change. We visited on Halloween and it was fun seeing the employees join in by wearing costumes. We did make an appointment and we arrived on time, greeted as soon as we walked in, and quickly set up for our tastings with Michelle...who was a fantastic host! As you enter, you walk past the bubble room, a wine and pairing room, which my husband is now obsessed with... good for me though... that means we will go back! Today we just did a regular tasting which included the newest version of their Love wine. A passion project for them with 100% of the wine cost going to benefit up and coming female artists. Another fun thing to note is each year they grant an artist the privilege of designing the label for the Love bottle. We started with the Love wine and then moved onto the Rosé, we thought both of these were excellent and ended up ordering a case of them so we can enjoy them yet again! Next step for the tasting was a white and after that two Pinots. We thought all were delicious however our preference was for the Love wine and the Rose. If you are in the neighborhood and enjoy sparkling wines these two are delicious! The vineyard itself is beautiful and relaxing. You can take your tastings to sit outside and enjoy them while overlooking the vineyards. In the end, we ended up joining the membership, which worked out well because when you sign up that day, your tastings are free and your shipment is at no cost. It's a win win!
