There was a pretty new patient form I had to fill out prior to my first appointment but it was very thorough and I felt like they asked all the right questions. I was set to meet with Ethan Henneberry who was so kind and asked so many questions before adjusting me at all. Once we went through all the information, he then went through and started showing me different stretches I could to daily to help the discomfort I am dealing with. I have an office job so I'm sitting for long periods of time and most of my issues deal with those types of posture issues. After that, he then adjusted me which was delicate, painless, and gave me some relief in the moment. I know after years of chiropractic appointments that it isn't a cure, it's a lifestyle to keep my body in the best shape I can for optimal living. Let's just start by saying I was a little skeptical at first on if a chiropractor would help my newborn baby. As a back story my baby was breech and in a strange position under my rib for the last 2 months of my pregnancy, 9lb 7oz and overdue by we think 2 weeks. She had severe torticollis which made it impossible for her to turn her head to the left. Jesse was very knowledgeable about this condition and eased my mind on what he could do to help. At her first adjustment as an exhausted first time mom I was hoping for any relieve she hadn't been sleeping would have spasms everytime she would fall asleep.. She slept 2 hours after that first adjustment. First week we went to him everyday. Second week every other day. Now I have a very happy pain free 3 month old baby girl. He always takes his time and gives great advice on how to take care of yourself in between appointments. He makes you feel at home and comfortable in his care. I always leave feeling wonderful and we have some great conversations about life. I never schedule ahead, but Sarah almost always gets me in either the day I call or the next. Dr. Jesse Smith is the best chiropractor I have ever been to. I have had pretty severe hip and shoulder pain for about 2 months after a big fall, and he helped me recover fully within a week and a half! I saw multiple doctors who just waived me off and told me to ice my injured areas. But Jesse actually gave me a full spine adjustment, focused on increasing the range of motion in my injured areas, and recommended exercises to do at home in order to speed up the recovery process. Very nice and outgoing guy who makes you feel very comfortable in his office. I would 100% recommend Jesse as the chiropractor to see here in Chico, he is honest and really knows what he's doing! read more

In April of 2014, I fell backwards off of the third rung of a ladder and was fortunate enough to find Jesse as my chiropractor. At my first visit I could barley walk back to his office, let alone stand at the counter with Sarah to make my next appointment. Jesse was kind, patient and made sure I understood everything that he was doing and why I was feeling what I was feeling. He was able to adjust my lower middle and upper back, my ankles, knees and hips, my wrists and shoulders and most importantly; my neck. I have never had another chiropractor in my 8 years of getting chiropractic help adjust my neck the way Jesse has. From being unable to stand for more than 20 minutes at a time and being in constant 24 hour pain, Jesse was able to take that initial edge off in May. With the help of physical therapy and Jesse's work, in October I was well enough to start working full time again, and I could start training for a 5k, that in May of 2015 I completed! I was told by one doctor that running may be out of the picture, but Jesse said that with work and patience I could do anything I wanted to again. To this day I leave his office feeling amazing EVERY time. To add to the experience, Sarah is such a blessing. Always greeting you with a smile and making sure you know you are cared for. I came in with some pretty chronic pain. Jesse Smith took the time with me needed for the complete overview of history with my past injury, he accessed, and put into action a plan to increase Range of Motion. This included adjustments and massage therapy by (Austin) . Austin is excellent in his knowledge of trigger points and anatomy of muscles, he is precise and holds consist therapeutic pressure. He will listen to your issue and discuss with you how he will address your bodies needs. One visit literally on my first visit with massage & adjustment I stayed out of pain for 3 days. Considering I have been fighting low grade pain for about a year, I was literally brought to tears of relief. You know if you fight something chronic that your emotions as well as daily function are all wrapped up in that pain. I highly recommend him, Jesse is a very intuitive Chiropractor. Sarah and Megan up front are pure pleasures to schedule and provide great admin support. This office has my business for however long I need to heal and improve. Dr. Smith is by far the best chiropractor I have been to. I suffer from painful migraines and seeing a chiropractor has nearly eliminated them; I only get them when I don't go. Dr. Smith spends an amazing amount of time with me and is not only fixing my problems, but helping make me a healthier person by showing me exercises and how to improve posture. Jesse is cool but almost flirts with his patients to create a comfortable environment, which is totally weird. He pointed out my anxiety to me which I thought was a bit inappropriate considering that my appointments were a little unrelated to this issue. He refused to give me a recommendation to get an MRI done and now that I finally was able to get one I found out I dislocated 2 disc in my spine. I could have found this out sooner if I hadn't gone to Jesse but instead had gone to someone a bit more reliable that cares about his patients rather than the benefit he gets out of it. I'm a Chico state student and this location is very convenient because it is very close walking distance to campus. If you can find a different chiropractor, I highly recommend to. Sarah is a very nice receptionist by the way but completely not worth it. read more
